It's not a park to have a hardcore hike but one could definitely get a good 'walk' in as the trails are easy and the crowd is generally comprised of locals from the neighborhood. I have successfully completed a 5 mile "hike" multiple times here -- just had to keep walking up and down, and all around. The park also has workout stations -- although, many of them are closed right now due to COVID19 but an average person could get a good cardio workout and get in some strength based exercises here (pull-up bars, etc.). Parking is easy as this park is aligned with a huge residential area. P.S. there are no public restrooms with the exception of seasonal porta potties so you should probably go before you plan on visiting. P.S.S. this park is popular for youngsters to "be youngsters" after hours so be cognizant if you're trying to plan a romantic date.

The fact that there is no dedicated parking for the park really underscores this neighborhood-oriented atmosphere. I don't personally use the tennis courts or the half-court basketball area, but I often see others making good use of them. In terms of facilities, the restrooms are consistently well-maintained, and the park as a whole feels very well-kept. Between the open space and the playground, it's a very pleasant, quiet environment--a great spot for local families.

Public toilets are ok here compared with other parks I visited. It is right off the Guadalupe Trail that goes from downtown San Jose to Alviso. Take a break from the trail and sit in the park. Soak up some rays. There are a few restaurants a block away where you can order takeout and eat at one of the picnic tables.

I didn't love how some of the play structure windows were boarded up , while the others weren't small toddler friendly either . What I mean by that is there was no window cover or trim to keep kids from leaving forward and potentially falling out.

Definitely meant for the surrounding neighborhoods. There are multiple entrances but are basically towards the end of each street. It seems dog friendly enough with a dog enclosure and easy to stroll around and walk your dog. There's a nice grassy area in the center and I noticed a few instances of owners playing catch with their dogs off-leash. There are picnic tables by the playground and public bathrooms all in the same area. The only water fountain I found was by the picnic/playground/bathroom area and it had a lower fountain for dogs. **Dog park: The dog area was really small, all dirt with one bench. Big dog and small dog are separated but the size is pretty similar to each other with the big dog having just a LITTLE bit more space. It was empty for me except for 1 dog owner but I wonder if there would be more dogs after-work hours for some socialization :-) you would have to walk a little but further down to the main area for water fountain.

We wanted to find a park that is relatively new/in good condition and not too crowded to let the little ones safely play. I'm honestly surprised that this isn't a more popular place to bring your kids. I suppose a part of it is because it is a neighborhood park without dedicated parking, although there is plenty of street parking. With that being said, the play area is gated so it is safe to let your children roam with supervision, the play structures are all in very good condition and the padded flooring is intact across the park. Very suitable for toddlers and older children, they even have a baby changing station inside of the bathroom, as well as adequate drinking fountains and drinking fountains for dogs. We were there on a Saturday morning, from 9 to 10am and were the only family there the entire time. This is completely different compared to some of the other parks in Sunnyvale or San Jose, where it can become a zoo by that time. We will definitely be setting up future play dates here.

In the rainy seasons, the creek fills up and can be very nice to be around. It feels more like a natural habitat, than a park, which I like. The human parts of this park are what I see as eye sores - the portapotties, the rusty faded info signs, and the trash. Please pick up after yourselves! The chickens deserve a clean home.

This park is a hidden gem in East San Jose. It is tucked away sitting on 6 acres, and has a large…read moreopen grass area that allows folks to set up a few portable gazebos or volleyball nets. There is a decent sized play structure, that also has a swing set. This area is well padded, so it is very safe for kids. It also has a 5 BBQ pits located to the left/center of the park, so bring your charcoal! The park also has a cemented walk way which is situated at the very back of the park. Since it connects to the right and left sidewalks, many people either jog here or walk their dogs. It can get a little busy on weekends with parties and picnics, but nothing outside of the norm. I'm sure you probably have to get here a little early to reserve a good good spot, but camping out the night before isn't necessary. :) Side note: Parking along the front of the park tends to get a little crowded at lunch time. Conclusion: Great park, great location, and it's never too crowded!

There are so many trees and squirrels! Watch out for wasps too! One thing that I didn't quite enjoy were the druggies. If you can handle the smell of it, then I guess that's fine?
