To whom it may concern, Our homes are currently under threat. As a member of the Cimarron Community, my goal is to advocate for us as a whole. First of all, there is no good relationship between the management and the residents. Rent increases are being made without any purpose. The roads are bad. We get fined easily for putting up a hammock in "our backyard, and we get rude phone calls/emails in the middle of the night (12-1 am) reminding us to clean up our leaves even though the wind has been blowing for 1-2 days nonstop, In addition, we are not allowed to park our own cars on the side streets outside our homes. Residents with more than two vehicles have to walk blocks to turn on their cars since there is a limit of two vehicles per resident, and Minnesota's winters can be brutal. Many residents are being forced out of trailer parks, and we fear the land will be sold. It's our home. With the way things are going, some people cannot afford mortgage payments. The cost of living in a trailer park should be more affordable. It wouldn't surprise me if the lot rent rose to $1k sooner or later.

I live at Cimarron in Lake Elmo. I have been here since 2005. I liked it many many years back but feel it's imperative to let any future people looking to move here to think twice. The management on site is terrible the last 4 years have been the worst. Our park is owned by a corporation out of Chicago. They don't take care of the infrastructure, streets, the golf course hasn't been operating for 3 years. Who ever JJ commented about it being so great a place to golf must of been here many years back because his review is not accurate. Today the management has instituted a no parking on the street or you'll get towed rule. It's ridiculous to not be able to have a friend or family visit in front of your home. I'm sick of the many BS things happening here!

It's been probably 6/7 years since I'd been there and the improvements are noticeable. The clubhouse is completely different, and absolutely stunning. They were very selective and removed trees around it giving it a beautiful view out onto the course. The interior is modern and offers a nice/modern atmosphere so you can at least understand where the increased prices have gone. The course was in impressive condition, and I'd put up against any course around. It is, extremely challenging, but with the challenge comes an absolutely unique experience that you may never forget. We didn't try much food, but, we did of course get cheese curds. They were awesome. I was disappointed to see they went away from their previous cheese curds, which, were my favorite of every where I've ever been, but they were still delicious. Often times when I find myself in beautiful places it's hard to comprehend how we can trade morning rays of sunshine through oaks and pines for glass windows and concrete. All of which I find myself asking every time I play here. The work the current owners have done has made that even more so the case. It's beautiful, from the first hole to the last and worth a shot if you're willing to lose some balls and some bucks.

A fresh, contemporary restaurant with great food and service. Will definitely be back. Staff and…read moreowners are wonderful!

We warmed up on the large, contoured putting/chipping green. The member that was to join us cancelled, so it was just the two of us, and my buddy didn't recall much from his prior round years ago. I started off quite well until we headed back into the 1-2 club wind on the 523-yard Par 5 5th Hole. That was a killer, but I left with a nice bogey despite a few mediocre shots. Somehow I managed to make the turn playing bogey golf, but I blew up on the first four holes of the Back 9 as I tired and went through my fourth golf glove of the round. This course is beautiful and challenging, forcing you to think about shot placement (I'm not a big hitter) on every hole. The greens rolled true and were fast, which I prefer, but there were several very tough (dare I say ridiculous?) pin placements, which always seemed to involve a subtle break just as the ball loses speed around the hole. Still, I putted well and ended up in the 90s. The course is perfectly manicured. The greens are receptive and fast. Greens fee for a senior on Friday was $100 with a pull cart, which frankly I think is reasonable for this course. Personnel were all quite helpful and friendly. Pace was just about 4 hours, though I'll bet it can play a bit faster if a foursome knows the course and plays ready golf. I was glad to have my Garmin GPS, but there are enough sprinkler heads that you can find your yardage (but you probably won't know about that little trap just over the hill!). I'd love to come back in cooler weather where the wind isn't quite as much of an issue. Great fun!

We went out with some family members some of whom's first time playing golf. Obviously this would mean we would be slow but to combat this we played a scramble format and most the shots were a few whiffs then we'd pick up and move on. The part that frustrated me is there were other groups in front of us and since most the holes are par 3's we consistently had to wait for the greens to clear or else I would be hitting right into them. The ranger came by and not only told us we were playing too slow but also told us newer players should just pick up their balls and move on. I told him we had to wait to tee off every hole so how can we be the problem of pace of play to which he replied he was telling everyone. Why then take a shot at the new players saying they should just pickup? This is an executive course at an apples orchard, where should new people try to play, at Tory Burne or Prestwick? I would completely understand if we were the reason the place of play was slow, but after having to wait on the tee box every hole and then being told by the ranger our newer players should pick it up was really frustrating. If you're a new player do not come here. And if you're an experienced player there are such better full length courses in the immediate area anyway so I'd go somewhere else.
