I did not call your office to request any change, nor did I receive any confirmation email or phone call regarding this rescheduling. When I contacted your office to ask about this issue, I was told that the change was made at the patient's request, which is incorrect. I clearly stated that I did not request any change and asked how my appointment could be moved without my authorization or notification. Despite this, I was informed that nothing could be done, even though the mistake was not mine. I then politely requested that the staff check with the doctor to see if I could come at any time on my original appointment date, as I am flexible. I was told that the staff member would check with the doctor and call me back. Unfortunately, I never received a call. When I followed up later the same day, I was told that the staff member was still "in a meeting with the provider." When I called again several hours later, I was told to hold, and then informed that she "did not mean to call" me at all. This response was extremely dismissive and disrespectful. As of now, I am still waiting for a callback. The lack of communication, accountability, and basic courtesy from the front desk staff has been very disappointing. This situation reflects very poorly on your office's patient service standards. I hope this matter can be reviewed seriously and corrected as soon as possible. I would appreciate confirmation of my appointment status and an explanation of how this situation occurred.

Apparently it is procedure to test ALL women for pregnancies, which sets the tone of how must they trust your knowledge about your own body, and how they will listen to you. To top it off, you will get billed for it. And in that vein of billing, they will bill you for time waiting to see your doctor, not just time with your doctor. I was moved from the first waiting room, to a second waiting room, where I was left sitting for over 30 minutes. That time was included in my final bill as time with my physician, which is no small fee. So prepare your wallet accordingly!

Although Dr. Raju is my doctor (who I adore) I've been seen by just about every doctor in the practice to accommodate my schedule and received the same level of care from each one. I've never felt like a number and I feel my concerns were addressed and taken seriously. My family had a minor financial hardship at the end of the year and they were nothing but compassionate and accommodating in allowing me to make monthly payments to take care of my outstanding balance. This is a testament to the humanity of the practice as a whole. I can't speak for the experiences of others but I can tell you ArborOBGYN was a godsend to me after a terrible experience that resulted in a miscarriage with another practice. I explained that I live far away and was emotionally distressed due to severe perimenopause symptoms. Despite this, the receptionist showed no empathy and had what felt like a sarcastic attitude. She refused to help me even after I explained my situation and assured her I would bring my physical ID to the next visit. I also spent over a year trying to get this appointment because of the same staff member: unclear information, refusal to provide the office address, and insisting on faxing documents without offering alternatives. Policies do not excuse a lack of compassion. The administrative staff's behavior needs serious improvement.

So she started off with my blood pressure, which was fine. Then I asked her to take blood from my right arm since I'm left handed. She said ok. She was wearing one glove, which was weird. She started off by tying the rubber band around my arm to stop blood from flowing. And she stared at my arm trying to figure out where my vein was. She poked the needle through my arm, and since she couldn't find my vein, of course there was no blood coming out. Smh. So she said she had to use my left arm. (Well ok fine) So she used my left arm and said she still couldn't find my vein. (Either I'm dead or this ahjumma is an idiot). So she said she'll find my vein by "feeling". So she just pokes in wherever and blood trickles out. So this took forever. Oh but im not done. Just as she was about to throw out the needle, she was talking to another nurse and poked herself with the needle. She had the guts to ask me if I had any diseases. Of course not. This nurse was just too much. So disappointed. Never again.
