When you walk in, they scan your tickets and then have you take a picture with the giant octopus. Next, they give you some 3-D glasses and have you watch a 4-D introductory video. It was cute and fun to feel the vibrations and wind. The actual aquarium is actually smaller than other aquariums and can take you less than 30 minutes to walk through. While we were at the gift shop, another member of the group and I decided to check out our group photo. We followed all the directions from the signs and waited for an employee to come over to the counter. However, what we didn't expect was the employee (longer blonde hair, maybe 16-17 years old) to walk another group over and then proceed to tell us that she wasn't going to help us because we didn't follow directions. When I asked what directions we didn't follow, she pointed to the sign and said that we went into the wrong entrance. When I told her that we did go through that entrance and had been waiting to be helped, she proceeded to continue to be rude to us and directed her attention to the other group. We ended up leaving without seeing what our group photo looked like. Overall, this aquarium is just okay and probably won't be returning next time I am in Missouri.

It was a fairly slow day in terms of people (Friday before Memorial Day) so wait times were low which was nice. The amount of different exhibits for all ages was nice and it offered a number of things we could all do as a family. The stand up Twister game was a family favorite as was laser tag. the XD theatre and the Wonder Coaster ended up being their overall favorites. Our boys are 14,10 and 7 and all do them loved it. No offers for refund, free admission next time, etc. I don't think that my patronage had any value at this location and as a result I will not be endorsing visiting bus tours to patronize this location either. We made our reservations online and you get a form that tells you to fill out the waiver online to…read moresave time at checkin. Well, the link does not work, so we arrived 30 mins prior to our reservation as instructed in the instructions. You walk into the nice building and serval workers are there yet no one engages with you to welcome you. Finally you get some one at that counter and tell them you are there to checkin. We are told we are the only party in that reservation slot, we get weighed, and sign the waiver. After you sign the waiver nothing happens. They don't tell you anything you just wait. I did mentioned that we tried to sign them online and another lady says oh yeah that doesn't work and we cannot change the email with the instructions either. Seems odd. Well, after you wait with no communication from the staff eventually Maykala came to say she was going to get us geared up. She took our group started to work with us and then a guide Seth came and told her to take a break. He may have been trying to be funny with some of the things he was saying, however it came off as very rude. Out on the lines we had a good time. The first line we went down everyone in our group was turning around and Seth made a comment to my husband and me that our boys were not holding the brake correctly causing them to turn, well when my husband and I went we both turned. The next line Maykala told us to hold the brake a little different and seemed to make a big difference. The problem was Seth was receiving and he told our one son (who has autism) he was doing it wrong which needless to say upset him since he did exactly what he was just instructed to do. Seth would continue to make comments to our boys that I'm not sure if he thought were funny or what, however again it just came across as rude. After the lines you return to the office. No communication if you are free to go or what. We knew from watching a previous group checkout that they have photos you can buy. So, when I went to buy some drink and the lady asked if I wanted photos I told her no one has talked to us about them however, yes we wanted them. Overall it was a fun time. Maykala was amazing! The rest of the crew in the office and Seth needs to learn about customer service.

She also took our order and delivered a VERY tasty Chicago style pizza. The pizza did not disappoint. Great flavor and cooked to perfection. We also enjoyed a very good House Salad. Inside the restaurant were more than 7 or 8 televisions playing various sports events. At first the restaurant was not too busy. By the time we left it was packed. I now see why. The pizza sauce was too salty The sausage wasn't like Chicago at all! It came in the form of "sausage pellets" not the chunks of juicy, mouth-watering quarter sized pieces of sausage you would get at a real Chicago Pizzeria. I asked for EXTRA CHEESE, was charged for the extra cheese but the pizza hardly had any cheese on it that you would find on a authentic Chicago Pizza... The weirdest thing about this Missouri version of Chicago Pizza, is that they put the over salted tomato sauce they call pizza sauce ON TOP of the pizza! The CRUST was the worst part of all! The CRUST has the consistency of "crackers" not anywhere close to the crusty exterior, the chewy interior and the yeasty deliciousness of a real Chicago Pizza....
