Wedding day - Evan and Lisa were timely and ready to go! They scoped out some beautiful spots at and around the venue for our first look, wedding party photos, couple photos, family photos, etc. Evan was energetic, charismatic, and can get along with literally anyone. He is a rare combination of detail-oriented, timely, professional, organized, and on the ball mixed with super fun, funny, energetic, patient, excellent EQ skills, and overall making you feel comfortable and relaxed, like you're friends just hanging out. His ability and talent to find the best places, frame the photos, get you in the right lighting and centered, and have you look your best are unparalleled. Evan is also able to adeptly navigate and direct crowds of people in a way which is never bossy and makes it fun in the process. For example, there was one auntie who was holding a kleenex tissue while setting up for one of the photos; he noticed and gently asked her to give it to him, receiving many laughs along the way. He also made sure every face could be seen in the larger, extended family photos. We got so many compliments about him from our family members about his ease with all the guests. He was also very well liked by the church and venue coordinators. Leading up to the wedding, he's super responsive by email. We also chatted over the phone and skyped with him. Setting up times/meetings is a breeze. He's got these awesome timelines, spreadsheets, and other helpful items. And he really listens, takes notes, and works with your likes/dislikes on poses, styles, all the usual stuff. He's such a joy and pleasure to work with over the months leading up to the wedding, and we were so lucky to have him capture so many special moments. Our engagement photos turned out phenomenally, and our wedding photos are amazing as well. He and his team made the experience and whole day a blast, and I definitely recommend him without any reservation.

I agreed( and fully intended to full compensate her by tip for her time/work). Over the course of a month, she cancelled LAST MINUTE within a couple hours of our scheduled shoot time, THREE SEPARATE TIMES!!! After the 3rd time I asked if she had a reschedule date or if she changed her mind about doing it completely and she copped an attitude. So very unprofessional. In my profession I give away free things from time to time not expecting anything in return, but Who offers free shit and then gets a shitty attitude about it? Her pics are mediocre at best and trust me after reading her ridiculous contract and dealing with her snide attitude, it's definitely not worth the headache. Book elsewhere. Shauna poor delusional you. When did I request your services? Never. I have you in my inbox requesting to shoot us for free for exposure for YOU. Also How was I to know your child was in hospital? You didn't relay that info to me? Your exact words were that I was "established" which was your reasoning for asking for free publicity from me and my man. I was looking for a professional when you requested that we do YOUR AMATUER ASS a favor. I agreed to use you only because you came to me for a service. We were lucky to find Jin via Stephen Hughes Photography for our wedding at Postino in Lafayette,…read moreCA in July 2016. Jin met with us at the venue a few weeks prior to scope it out and review our schedule, as well as discuss a photo plan. We got along with him great, as he is very warm, personable, and thoughtful. During the wedding, he worked behind the scenes and his presence was barely noticed. Jin must have had a tremendous challenge taking some of these photographs, because our adorable, albeit uncooperative one-year-old was crying throughout the ceremony and afterward. Yet somehow we still ended up with hundreds of beautiful photos from Jin, including of our tearstained doll. He sent them in groups. I think we got the first ten within about a week, then maybe 60 within a month, and the rest within 3 months. Before the wedding, we told Jin we thought we didn't need a million photos, just of the main events and a few planned ones, but he correctly pointed out that your own wedding day ends up being kind of a blur to you until you see photographs of it, and it's good to take as many as possible throughout and also to think about and plan which posed photos you want to take. He ended up capturing so many beautiful moments that we will now remember forever, and I'm glad we trusted his experience. We might have otherwise sent him home early and missed so many stunning photos and great memories. I would recommend Jin's photography highly, and I'm glad to serve as a reference!
