The game was on when I visited and that seemed to draw a crowd, so it was packed. Seemed to get even busier after 8. Service was friendly and the prices are super reasonable for huge portions. From the menu, it's not exactly clear what the platters come with, but my chicken platter came with salad, fries, and rice, which was perfect. I also ordered couvert (bread, olives, oil) and cheese, plus wine. Everything was delicious. Though I'm fairly sure this is not a piri-piri spot, I asked for pepper (was looking for ground black pepper for my salad) and received piri-piri sauce and was overjoyed. I loved the chicken. The skin was crispy and flavorful but not super oily. I couldn't finish everything. If you need a fast-casual spot or some takeaway (I think they are on Uber Eats, too), this is a great option.

I'm skipping the education on what a rodizio is. Presumably you know that already. That said, Fogo de Chão offers 5 menu options: 1) Buffet only: €11 2) Mini-rodizio - no beef: €16 3) Traditional rodizio: €19 4) Special rodizio - only beef: €22 5) Executive rodizio - "Our signature steak, picanha represents the art and science of churrasco cooking. Lightly seasoned with rock salt and sliced thin, it is tender with a robust flavor.": €25 I opted for the traditional. (Why I didn't spend €6 more for the executive, I don't know. I'll just say I was overwhelmed.) I had some sausages that were decent, not great. I skipped on any chicken that came my way. My first beef encounter was not very good. I don't know what it was and due to a language barrier, the gaucho couldn't tell me either. He just kept saying it was "beef!" I had about 5 different cuts. The last, and again, I have no idea what it was, was mouth-watering. My wife had the buffet and I did venture to it for some samples. Neither of us were impressed by it. It's cash only; but I appreciate they are because it keeps the prices so reasonable. First off the service; it's a beach town to they are quick to welcome and serve. Business is brisk, if you come for dinner the locals start lining up before 7pm so come early! The meat and fishes are grilled to perfection- I had their pork ribs and they were unbelievable! My wife had what would be in france "steak au povire" but it was more a "grilled steak" with the usual mustard sauce but a much lighter more flavorful version! The green wine choices are exceptional - 7-12 euros buys a very nice bottle that accompanied the food. Not listed on the menu are their exceptional sardines- the ladies next to us shared their details - and they are a must have to try (order one dish - it serves 2 well)!
