The food was hot and fresh. When we arrived the lady(ms laketha) was cleaning the lobby, she stopped to take our order. Ms Laketha was so friendly and informative. She was detailed about the menu and knew the prices right off the back without having to look. Her skills were very on point. Thank you Ms Laketha for your kindness and the care you put into preparing our order. read more

Absolutely outstanding service! The workers really have heart here. Despite the restaurant being hot and crowed the workers continued with great smile and hospitality! Super outstanding! They worked quick to ensure everyone was satisfied. On top of that, they kept the restrurant clean and organized. On top of that everything was made fresh and tasty. read more

Parking is a disaster as is getting in and out of this location. It's on an odd angle off the Main Street where the lane turns off and the next street is narrow always crowded. If you do manage to get in; parking is scarce. The staff is friendly. It does take time to order and get your food even if it isn't busy inside but it's worth it. The chicken is delicious and I like coming here because the staff is always so friendly and helpful. read more

Church's Chicken - Receipt. - Fast Food Near Me - Converse, Texas

Paid for a family meal and only received half of my $50 order. I tried to call multiple times to let the store know I had not received my correct order and was not able to get anyone on the line. Went to the store and the manager told me to go through the drive thru when they had 8 cars in line to get my order fixed when I placed this order as a delivery? Then to get the refund I had to contact corporate about the situation since they were not willing to do so. This Location needs to be closed at this point. Poor customer service across from a high school is not needed. read more

Ordering through the drive thru the young female couldn't hear me very well but still I ordered the 16 piece family meal original with 2 sides mash and 1 Mac n cheese (up charged) 1 side gravy, 1 order poppers..... I took the food thinking it was correct and drove home. Once home I realized the Mac and cheese was missing. I attempted to call the store and was left on hold for 10 minutes. I drove back to the store and asked for my Mac n cheese and an order of fries for the trouble since my food would now be cold. The manager was rude and argumentative but gave me the requested food. Once home I realized I had 7 legs and 8 thighs (dark meal) significantly less then the regular mixed meal by this time I realized that I should have checked the food before leaving the store but if I need to check the chicken and count the pieces the how convenient is the meal really!?! I called the store to explain the situation only to have the manager call me a "F*king Karen and accuse me of wanting free food. As a regional administrator I am appalled by this managers lack of leadership and accountability in her community and I don't need free food. What I expect is what I pay for and leadership to train their staff on pride of service. I have reported this to the regional administration and left a review on Yelp also. You should be ashamed of your lack of leadership. read more

Super bad customer service, I tried to order on the drive thru and they send me to the window and only Spanish speakers could speak to me in their language , I think they didn't understand me because I told them what I wanted and when I came to my house it was everything incorrect! I had a bad experience read more

I never knew about Church's chicken until this past year. Billboards help alot, because that's where I saw the advertisement for the 10 pieces for $10. It's the drums and thighs, but that's fine with me. We decided to pick up the 10/10 deal and I was pleasantly surprised. Both times we've gone thru the drive thru which is super fast, the chicken is hot, juicy and crispy. I dont know what kind of sauces are offered because they never ask and we havent gone inside. I always have some kind of hot sauce at home so it just makes it even more delicious. This is a good option for a quick takeout meal. Or airplane food. The chicken stays crispy and doesn't get soggy after a couple hours. I think we'll have to go into the restaurant at least once to see what else is offered. I really dont want to mess up a good thing though. read more

Church's Chicken - 3pc Chicken - Fast Food Near Me - Converse, Texas

After helping a friend move to a new apartment, I decided it was a little late to cook so I decided to use the drive-thru at this location. I pull up and order a 2pc all white meal with mashed potatoes and gravy. I also ordered 2 jalapenos. I wasn't asked about my drink (that comes with a meal). I pull up and hand over a $20.00 bill. The cashier "Concepcion" hands me my change rolled up in the receipt. Thinking that was weird, I squeezed the receipt and noticed there was no loose change. Weird I thought, but being so tired, I blew it off. When I got home, I had 1 breast and 1 thigh and only $5 in change instead of the $9 iI was owed. I called the store and asked for the manager, apparently "Concepcion" claimed to be the manager. She started to argue with me and said she couldn't read the register for the correct amount of change but insisted that she gave me the coins. I insisted that I was ripped off and she got belligerent and asked when I could drive back to the store. I don't live close to this store, and I wasn't driving back after her tirade. I hung up and contacted Church's by way of "churchslistens.com" which was on my receipt. After thinking about it, how did she know who I was? How did she know that she couldn't read the register at the time of my purchase instead of someone else's? I found the conversation very strange in hindsight. Be careful at this location, you may not get the right food and/or change from your purchase. read more

Understanding that this is a busy location, I waited anyway. While waiting we were told a lot of items were not available at the moment. It was ok because we decided to try the Smokehouse Chicken. We get home and the chicken is dried out with feathers all on it and completely inedible. I am understanding of a lot of things, but this is not what I wanted. read more

If you like stale sun dried chicken tenders this is the place. The tenders weren't edible. There should be a time limit or make them when ordered or don't charge $13 for worthless food. If it was only $6 I could understand and accept stale old inedible chicken tenders. read more

I would give this location zero stars if I could. The employees are probably the worst I have ever dealt with in my life. Extremely rude with horrible attitude and after checking my order realized they were leaving a bunch of stuff out, to spite us they squished the biscuits by squeezing the bag while they were putting it with my order. After telling the cashier I couldn't deal with her anymore the shift manager approached and was just as nearly rude and disrespectful. The food was not great but had the potential to be good if the staff wasn't so bad. This place should be taken over or shut down. Inside the location also smelt horrible, like two week old frying oil. Avoid at all cost! read more

Seriously the worst customer service! They will keep you waiting in the drive thru and not acknowledge you there until you call them out! Not sure why they're are still in business seemed like no one was in charge and all the employees didn't care to see a line waiting! Take your money somewhere else! read more

Day shift crew is amazing! They are very nice and have great customer service. The night shift crew however has the competency of a kindergarten drop out. If I could give 0 stars I would. I used to work at a Church's back home, I love this food. It's my fav fried chicken, but this place REALLY KILLS IT FOR ME. I ordered the NEW chicken strips with the shrimp. I've had them before from the church's further down 78 by Dairy Queen. The new ones are actually really good so I was looking forward to it. I ended up getting the old strips, and they were RUBBERY!! They've been sitting out for hours! I couldn't even eat them with how hard and dry they'd become! So gross. Never again. I'd honestly just make the trip further down 78 for better quality. read more

Went about a month ago around 5pm. Ordered a family meal with sides and biscuits. They were out of jalapeño cheese bombers, but I get it, it happens. They have plenty of other good stuff to choose from anyways. I don't know the name of the lady who took my order and gave it to me, but she was super friendly and so very nice! Great customer service! They had it ready very quickly and actually got everything right and I wasn't missing anything, which seems to happen a lot these days at other drive thrus I have been through. Love Church's. After a horrible experience, it took several years to return to the Church's in Converse. I stopped by today and was greeted by Jason...what an amazing experience. Worse experience ever, manager was extremely rude and refused to take my order because they were "closed" even though they close at 10pm and I got there at 9:27pm , when I asked if they actually close at 9 and not at 10pm he said they were out of chicken which is was not true because all the chicken was there but he just didn't wanna take the order or work apparently read more

This food was sooo good. I wanted seconds! I will definitely come back for more. It hit the spot!

Terrible customer service and food is not served in a timely manner. We couldnt hear what the worker said so my husband started ordering and the worker got very snappy. We finally got to order and right after my husband stated the three sides, he changed one of them. The worker stated he had already put the previous sides in the system. We will not be coming here again. I understand if you are busy but you have no reason to be flat out rude. Especially if we are not rude to you. We were just trying to order. My husbands tone wasn't rude at all. I would NEVER recommend this Church's. Take your business to another location or even a different establishment. We have been here previously and it has always taken a long time to get our food, even when there is no one inside and no one in line. My advice, DON'T EAT HERE! read more

Okay. So it's 830pm and no apple pies. Girl at the drive thru says they won't get any until tomorrow. The drive thru menu display is flashing and will no doubt cause someone to have a seizure. I went through the drive-through this afternoon about 3ish And I ordered a three-piece dinner and they gave me a two piece dinner and charged me for the 3 piece dinner. Horrible customer service!! I went through the drive and once I got up to the box there was silence. No acknowledgement at all. I sat there for a good 5-7 minutes. It takes 2 seconds to come on and say "Welcome to churches I will be right with you." And then return with "Thank you for patiently waiting, how may I help you today ?" Once the order was placed and once I got up to the window the window flys open with " What was your drink?" As I drive away I checked my order and of course something was forgotten. She didn't charge me but I turned around and had to back in line through the store this time. I informed the person on the register and handed him my card. It was nice that they gave me that portion for free but that's not what I wanted. I suggested that maybe you should get her to repeat what people are ordering. As a customer I don't want to hear, "oh, it happens." While the gesture was nice I was more inclined to hear how the problem was going to get fixed. read more

Extremely poor service by the drive thru operator. Very rude on the microphone and at the window. Uttering under his breath when I asked him a simple question. After repeated disrespect from this guy I asked for his name and he turned his back on me and walked away. After I loudly demanded his name, another employee stepped up and said it was Richard. Not too sure if that was really his name because the receipt said the cashier was logged in as Andres. I have sent an email to corporate and hope this guy gets disciplined. I would have given them 5 stars based on my previous experience. But the chicken I got today smells weird, funky, like bad. The biscuit doesn't taste as good as before.
