I can't say enough good things about Calvary Chapel La Habra. From the moment you walk in, you feel…read morea genuine sense of community. The parking situation is great, with friendly parking attendants who guide you to a large, open lot, so you'll never have to worry about finding a space. The Word of God here is solid, and the messages are truly great. I love that the pastors go verse-by-verse, getting into the "nitty-gritty" of the scripture without skipping around like some other churches. They're not afraid to have those tough conversations that are so often avoided, which I deeply appreciate. The attire is very much "SoCal," and I say that as a huge compliment. You don't have to worry about wearing your "Sunday best" here. It's a comfortable, come-as-you-are environment, and that's how it should be. The stigma around wearing a t-shirt and shorts to church is something I just don't understand, your relationship with God isn't defined by your dress code. It's pretty ironic to judge someone's faith based on their clothes, and it's refreshing that this church embraces that mindset. The worship is great, the people are friendly, and the teachings are deep and meaningful. If you're looking for a church that is focused on the Word and building a real relationship with God in a relaxed, non-judgmental atmosphere, this is the place to be. As an added bonus, they also have beverages and food available before or after service, depending on which one you attend.

Our family recently experienced the loss of our beloved Uncle Art, and in the midst of grief,…read moreCalvary Chapel La Habra became a true blessing. Pastor Lance, Kelly (the funeral coordinator), and Ed (the grief counselor) each played a vital role in supporting us during this difficult time. * Kelly walked with us through every detail of the funeral process, offering steady guidance and compassion that gave us peace of mind. * Ed shared words of wisdom that my elderly aunt continues to hold close. His reminder that boundaries are so important has become a source of strength for her as she navigates her mourning journey. * Pastor Lance is an extraordinary man of God whose encouragement and spiritual support uplifted us throughout. His presence reminded us of God's comfort and love. Because of their care, my uncle's service was not only beautiful but exceeded anything I could have envisioned. It was a true celebration of his life and legacy. Calvary Chapel La Habra is more than a church--it is a family that embraces you with Christ's love when you need it most. We are deeply grateful for the compassion and dedication shown to us. God bless you. Amen.

Parking can improve a bit with more spaces but got ushers to guide at least. Little bit more community could be added like more events out of service. I mean just a solid place to worship God here.

A friend told us about Living Hope, and when I saw the staff and saw all Korean folks, I'll be honest, I was thinking, no thanks. I heard so many stories about Korean churches, that they were either drama or super cliquish. Not so with Living Hope, and I was really grateful for that. The kids program at Living Hope are great, but more than that, the teachers love God and love the kids. That's really all that I could ask for. But there's more. There are so many ways to serve, get connected, and to know people, so that it's a really great place to get plugged in. Here's a concise rundown of the church: Church Services: https://www.livinghopecc.org/sundays 9:30am Service - Mostly families because kids services are during this time (Infants - 5th grade) 11:30am Service - Mostly singles and college (though youth is during this time as well) - Cool thing is that the founding pastor is still here! Pretty amazing - They have cell groups for families and singles - If you're new and want to get to know the church, there's something called first lunch every month where you get to have lunch with some of the pastoral staff to get to know them and ask questions - They're non-denominational - But truly this is so unique in that their pastors have different stances, but the Christian core beliefs are all the same
