It's a decent sized space inside this bistro and with increasing cases of Wu flu it's takeaway only so choices are limited.
We had a walk along the seashore first, a few minutes away from here - which was bracing compliments of the cold wild Atlantic Ocean and we popped in here for takeaway cappuccinos. This was our exercise permitted under lockdown rules. A reasonable reason to be outside.
The large size of their cappuccino is £2.80 which is the average price for the local independents here and Newry and its large we purchased. The choice was fresh full fat or semi skilled milk. The cappuccino was darn good.
The young chap behind the counter was really chatty and friendly. Some folk were being served when we went in and they were enjoying the banter - a bit of civility and good conversation - even if it's only about the weather goes a long way.
It's really difficult to see how these small independents can make enough money in Wu flu lockdown to survive let alone thrive so they need our support and I'd say for months.
It's likely we'll be in this lock - down until mid summer and it's almost like a form of house arrest but it is a price that must be paid. read more
