Used Chunk the Junk for the first time today to haul away a freezer we had in the garage that quit working which had been full of meat. It got really rank very quickly and although I got the packages removed it was still nasty. We called Dereck and made an appointment for him to come out first thing the next morning to pick it up. One thing that impressed me is that he called about 15 min before the appointed time to let us know he was running a little late. Most companies don't call until after they were supposed to arrive, or they won't call at all. Dereck was very cool and hauled off the freezer, an old tv, desk, floor lamp and a bag of misc. trash. First of all, Dereck was very prompt with responding to my request through the Yelp app. I arranged for him to demo and remove a medium size storage shed and remove a chair lift. All of this was arranged with my being in another state and no one in the house to arrange on the Texas side of things. Dereck was patient with me as I had to reach out to neighbors to assist in taking a picture of the shed, etc. The job was completed in less than 24 hr of my initial request. The price was very fair.
