Ordered the fried chicken family pack (8 pieces of fried chicken, medium chips, choice of veggies or sides, and a 1.25L) not for a family but TWO people...for $31 Fatasses unite! The medium sized chips were definitely not medium...they encompassed a whole takeaway box. I was meant to order a salad (to be healthier of course,) but I misread the combo as veggies + salad, not one or the other. Ended up getting potatoes+ham, mushrooms, and a cheesy cauliflower. The chicken was really good, definitely similar to KFC but better. My only wish is that they have a spicy version. Pretty awesome joint for a cheap and unhealthily awesome feed.

It's actually outside of the capitol square building on the corner of Hay and George Street. It's a very casual restaurant (think food truck) with a few seats for eating. You can just as easily take away as well. I ordered the tiger pie which is a meat pie meets shepherds pie - chunky lean beef in gravy topped with mashed potatoes and smashed peas. The meat was really well seasoned and flavorful. The mashed topping was savory and had a creamy texture. It was a great find that I probably would have not tried if not for the good grace of Yelp. If you're in search of a great meal, then definitely consider the signature tiger pie from Harry's!

If you're having trouble finding this, it is located in front of a mall. We got the Beef Tiger Pie and the Chicken Pie n Peas. My feelings are a little mixed...these are far from authentic and I'm pretty sure there are better places out there since this is a chain. I didn't like the dry texture of the pies and the meats were definitely not of high quality, even though I don't expect too much for about $5 a pie. I really enjoyed the mashed potatoes and gravy on the Tiger Pie. The beef, not so much--it tasted very cheap. This was a lot better than the Chicken Pie n Pies, which was bland--the mushed peas didn't help much. The lovely people working the stand also gave me a sample of their chili dog. If you like spicy, you may like it. Not sure if the sausage is used for normal Australian hot dogs, but I wasn't a fan. Not terrible for a cheap bite, but I'm definitely opened to having a meat pie again.

I passed by Burgerlicious on King St, not knowing that it was a chain restaurant. Once I looked at the menu, I decided actually NOT to eat here. I know, you may be thinking 'why is this guy writing a review on a restaurant in which he didn't actually eat.' Here's why: I looked around at the burgers that other people were eating and the portion size was very small. Then when I actually looked at the menu, I noticed that you are charged for almost every add-on you might want on your burger. Yes, this includes sauces, cheeses, and other toppings. Nothing on the menu stood out to me as unique and delicious. I wasn't in the mood of getting ripped off and being disappointed for a average burger I could make at home.

When I have a hamburger I want a big thick slab of quality beef mince and I want a pile of onion and BEETROOT. Today I was in Newtown and had a hamburger craving so I went to Burgerlicious and had the Newtown Burger. At $9.00 it is a bit expensive for a hamburger but honestly for what the burger is it is worth it. It comprises of Angus beed, grilled onion, bacon, free- range egg (I like happy chooks), tomato, lettuce and most importantly beetroot, the perfect ingredients for the perfect hamburger. Burgerlicious is delicious!

North Sandwiches offer a variety of sandwiches including but not limited to burgers, bahn mi, and your traditional white bread sandwich. What I love is the freshness and flavor of the items they offer. As simple as a sandwich may seem, the perfect quality of ingredients make your small meal so much enjoyable. The bread is soft and fluffy on the inside and crunchy on the outside. Veggies are crisp and green. Meat cooked and flavored to just the right amount of tenderness and flavor. I've tried a variety of sandwiches and recommend that you try different items each visit. It gets quite busy during lunch hours as North Sandwiches is located in a business district near the harbour. The long lines accurately reflect it's popularity. A must visit when I stay in Sydney!

The delicious mix of beetroot, egg, and bacon added to a standard burger is one I'd eat daily (if my diet allowed). But finding somewhere that also let's you choose the type of bread, and then has both chipolte and habenero sauces available to spice up said burger is worth much more than the $10 it cost. Not only was the burger delicious, it was juicy and fresh. The egg could have been a little runnier, but other than that, I find it hard to fault. Now the only issue is deciding whether to have a delicious big arse sandwich, or stunning burger. You win either way.

Enjoyed eating their delicious gourmet burger while enjoying the views of Bondi beach…read more We decided to try this place out because my boyfriend wanted to try Kangaroo meat while visiting Australia. Kangaroo was on their menu and that's what caught our eye on this place. PARKING: There's parking at Bondi beach, so if you park there, you can cross the street to this place. Otherwise there may be some street parking. I did not observe any designated lot for his restaurant. SERVICE: The lady at the counter was nice. Not sure if my American accent made it difficult for her to comprehend some of the questions I asked her, but she was still nice and courteous towards us. Basically everything I asked her, her reply was, "yes it is good." PRICE: So their burgers were a little pricey... about $15 - $20 for a burger, however, the quality was great and their buns are Gluten Free!! Totally worth the price. The burgers did not come with sides so you do pay extra for fries. FOOD: My boyfriend ate the Kangaroo burger which he enjoyed. He had no complaints at all. I had their Black and White Burger which was their beef burger. It was a bit messy to eat so towards the end I had to use a knife and fork to finish it. The egg and tomato relish just got deliciously messy. ATMOSPHERE: It's a nice casual spot to enjoy a burger. Walk in, order at the counter and they bring the food to you. There's a nice view of Bondi beach and you can choose to eat either inside or outside their restaurant. Perfect setting in that area. I'm definitely we ran into this place while cruising Bondi Beach. Definitely a great spot to have a burger!!!

This place is pretty much a takeaway only shop with only 5 stools to sit on. The specialty here is the Southern style fried chicken, which originated from the South in the US and means it's marinaded in buttermilk. Delicious. 3 pieces for $12 with a sauce or 8 for $25 and two sauces which is a pretty good deal. You can also opt for a meal which is 2 pieces and a side and a sauce for $13. Sides vary from waffle fries, bacon mac & cheese, and mash and gravy. The Thirsty Burgers though, may be where it's at, with a choice of Southern, Club, Katsu, or Yankee. I went for the Southern and this burger is freaking huge...it's not really a burger since it's on a long sandwich roll from Barby's but it's a two hander for sure. For bang for buck it's tough to beat this one for $12, but I will say while I do enjoy this one, I think I might enjoy Juicy Lucy and Butter's versions just a little more. The Southern tasted kind of like a gourmet version of Burger King's Chicken Sandwich...which is delicious but not available in Australia so I guess I can't give a proper example. The biggest knock here is how long it takes to get your food when they're busy. It took about 15 minutes, and this place is supposed to be fast food. Either way definitely worth a visit if you're in the area
