My son's birthday was completely derailed at the Chuck E. Cheese in Dartmouth. The location has removed roughly half of its arcade games yet continues to charge the same pricing. We purchased two cards for $60 expecting about 45 minutes of play, but immediately realized the majority of our usual games were gone. When I asked the manager what happened, he dismissed my concern and insisted "only a couple" were removed -- despite at least seven missing games we play every visit. I was calm, respectful, and simply asking for clarification, yet he turned his back and walked away mid-conversation. I then went to the front counter to request a refund for one of the cards. After explaining the situation, the employee spoke with the manager and persuaded him to offer a partial resolution. I was given a card with 39 game points, but at that point we no longer wished to stay. My daughter was also upset by how much of the arcade had been removed. Whether they're downsizing or preparing to close, the experience was absolutely not worth the time or money. We won't be returning. read more

This place is great for little kids! I bring my 3 year old daughter here and we can spend hours. The staff here is so nice and friendly. The place is very clean. The value is great in my opinion! For tickets if you spend $35 you get 120 points, every game is only ONE point. So that means for $35 your kid can play 120 games. That amount last us usually 2-3 trips. Incredible value. Also, if you buy the Chuck-E-Cheese kids cup, you can apparently bring it every time you come and refill it for free! even more value! And then, if you download the Chuck-E-Cheese app you get bonuses and rewards for free tickets so even though the games don't win many prizes you can end up getting a decent prize with the free tickets. We even came here once during the winter promotion and my daughter "won" a free ice cream. My one negative would be the food is a bit pricey (salad bar is $11 per person, wings are $15..ext.) as but honestly this is a business these people need to make money somehow and I do feel like they're providing a very fair value everywhere else. read more

So let me tell you the story of the worst customer service, or what I like to call Chuck E Cheese hates brown people. My two year old daughter love's Chuck E Cheese, saw the Halloween event on youtube, and wanted to go in her favorite costume before her birthday to participate. My wife, daughter and myself went, spent $120.00 dollars for 1 pumpkin shaped pizza, the light-up cup and wand, french fries, slime cookie desert, and two 30 minute play cards. When we are done eating, I handed my wife the left over food out of the little green plastic food basket, placed the basket on the pizza tray and she brought it to the car while my daughter and I went on the carousal. Around 15 minutes later, my wife comes to me crying, asking to leave. I ask what was wrong, and she told me the two girls stamping hands at the front accused her of stealing the .40 cent green plastic french fry basket. When she tried to explain to them it was still on the table(which it was, along with the pizza tray), they gas lit her, accused her of having her own story, and said they saw what really happened. So, I spoke the manager, after showing him the basket(again, a 40 cent basket after spending 120$ at this shit hole) on the table. At this point, he doubled down that his employee's only suggested that she may have brought it outside the store( which is a lie), and tried to buy forgiveness with 200 points. I couldn't help but notice that these employee's targeted my wife when she was alone(who has dark skin), and only apologized to me when I confronted them(who has white skin). Needless to say, after all this nonsense that left my wife crying, and my daughter crying, we won't be going back here ever again. But so long as I live, I will make sure everyone knows how this place operates. read more

This Chuck E. Cheese has been one of my favorite locations since my neice was in diapers. Now that she is 13 we don't find ourselves here as often, but recently we had the chance to stop back in. The best parts about this location are that each game is a token (like all other locations), the staff is always polite and the location is always fairly clean. The only downsides are the fact that some of the customers here don't respect the facility and destroy the games. The other downside is that a few of the games are worn down. That being said, overall this location is amazing and we can't wait to go back in the future. read more

After a very eventful afternoon during our late summer family vacation spent at an urgent care facility, I googled "Chuck E. Cheese" near our hotel west of Cape Cod, and we made haste to the North Dartmouth location. We arrived around 7pm on a weeknight, the week Massachusetts kids went back to school, so the place was absolutely empty. The very friendly front desk attendant explained as closing was at 9pm, it made sense to pay for time instead of tokens. This is a great new concept that was recently unveiled at all Chuck E. Cheese locations and it is great for kids who go through tokens like I go through Larabars. The only side effect of this new policy is as parents, we beg our kids for a swipe ... like an addict looking for his fix. The kids even diddled around past 9pm, with prize selection, etc. The employees were really lovely and patient with our kids, especially our ASD son, who spent an inordinate amount of time deliberating over his selections.  The North Dartmouth CEC is not very large compared to others we've been to (we can seriously just blog about CECs nationwide, we've been to dozens). Our regular one in Staten Island, NY is probably two times as large. However, all the machines in North Dartmouth worked, and the restaurant areas were spotless.  Vegan mom got restless; I walked the rest of the strip mall after an hour of playing with the kids. The strip mall contains a Dollar Tree, Barnes & Noble, TJ Maxx, and Bed Bath and Beyond. The mall has some vacancies, which is unfortunate. IMHO, it would be an excellent location for a Five Below; it has the perfect co-tenant mix for that store. read more

I brought my children there for the first time this week and I had a few things I must comment about. First of all it way overpriced. For the money you're far better off going to Dave & Busters and it will be cheaper. Next the lack of supervision was a tad annoying with kids running around climbing on everything and bumping into you. No staff says anything. Yes it's a place for kids to have fun but that doesn't mean being obnoxious and rude and lastly that place clearly needs to be updated badly. Some of the games don't even work well and you can tell they're all very old games. My kids had fun though because kids will make the best out of it. Lastly, change the misleading picture of what your pizza looks like .. when you actually get the pizza the it's half the thickness with very cheap quality crust and cheeses.. extremely oily pizza. Idk if I'll be back. Maybe to give it a 2nd chance but don't see how they will make improvements. It's almost 2023 seriously update the place and make it worth the money read more

Haven't been to Chuck E. Cheese in a very long time, it's over priced, kids running amok with no supervision, climbing all the machines and acting like animals. My husband and I took our 21 month old son here to see if he would enjoy it, he kept getting trampled by older kids, he was in the small bus riding it quietly enjoying himself and other kids would run by and scream inside the bus and scare him. Everything is run by time now on the play cards, I had won him a ball from a claw machine they had there and it fell in and bounced right back out last second, and instead of them letting me try one more time or even just giving the little boy a ball they told me to pay another $14 to play again. Some of the crowd was great I will say, there was one little boy in particular that would come up to my son and pay for his games for him. That was the high light of our visit. Overall there should be more staff there to ensure a safe playing environment. read more

I'll start off by saying that I used to love Chuck E Cheese as a kid and never understood why my mother didn't take me there often, but instead opted for Big Top and Discovery Zone. After coming to this location today, I kind of understand why. #1. Prices are atrocious. $25 for a large pizza (that was tough to chew and greasy), 3 drinks and an apple juice. I believe it was 1.79 for an apple juice which was smaller than the size of a carton of milk they serve at elementary schools. #2. The stage set up with the robots. What the hell? I remember these being so much more active and interesting to look at. They also were on a bigger stage, and more secluded from the play area than they were at this location. #3. Though the website online DOES say that only some locations have a toddler room, I was excited to come here primarily for my toddler. I was disappointed to learn that they didn't have much for him to do there. I figured they would at least have the spider web game where you step on the spiders as they light up, or big bertha where you throw plastic balls in her mouth. The only games suitable for a two year old were the ride ons. Unfortunately (and through no fault of Chuck E Cheese) he was afraid of them. #4. The rat. For the love of god, the rat! Where is Chuck E? Why wasn't he out and about? Seems like I always remembered seeing him and was disappointed that I didn't today! I guess he ate too much of that garbage pizza and croaked! #5. The ball pit. What? Why? What the heck happened??? Now, they have a Discovery-Zone type thing with piping and tubes for kids to climb in which is fine for older kids, but my 2 year old would probably stay up there and never come down! I just don't understand why the ball pit isn't there anymore. Someone suggested sanitary issues - if this is a legit reason, then that is pretty pathetic. How hard is it to have one of the employees clean that out every night? A pure shame. It was the reason FOR going, to use the ball pit. Oh well. read more

I believe everyone knows what expect from chuck e cheese, so it's more like taking your chances each time based on the quality of the facility , and the current occupants, which is a little ironic because adults are way more likely to make a trip to chuck e cheese unpleasant. The silver lining is that it's enjoyable for my son, the unfortunate reality is that I have to see parents who have no idea what they're doing, sometimes yelling at their kids, or even dragging them back to the table kicking and screaming, but I'm not going for me so that's just something to get over. I get the sense that chuck e cheese,for some kids, is one of the rare opportunities to actually have fun. This location was clean and newer, and the staff was your typical first job types; when you see one of them dusting off the games , and the malfunctioning games being fixed quickly, I would have to assume this particular location has decent management. We stopped in this evening so my sons grandparents could see him the day before his birthday. The manager or floor supervisor I think he said was totally awesome! He came by several times to make sure everything was great, we ordered pizza and a small cake, the pizza was delish and he asked us if we would like chucky to deliver the cake to our table and sing happy birthday to my son. My son was in awe and talked about it all the way home it really made his birthday! Thanks for going above & beyond my kid will be talking about this for a long time! Can be expensive which stinks since obviously any kid is going to love a place like this and beg parents to go there. Sadly there's none located in my area locally so when we bring the kids it's more a special day ordeal and planned for a reward or treat because the closest one is actually Attleboro which is about a 30 minute drive from where I live, but we tend to take the extra 20 minute drive added to 30 minutes to Dartmouth since this location seems to be more cleaner than the Attleboro location and has a more selection of games for the kids and also has employees there that actually work and don't sit on their phones and ignore customers or take a moment to clean the tables and seats. Typically we go only for games and opt out eating because only pizza and salad is mainly offered which it's a good $20 for one pizza and two drinks which the pizza is terrible and not worth $20 and then the salad bar always seems to have limp looking items. Lettuce and tomatoes, cucumbers etc you can tell has been sitting out since the doors opened. Only time week order pizza is if I have a promo coupon. I do like though and reason we return once and awhile is the coupons offered I get for the tokens or game cards. We usually use the one that you get a hour of play time unlimited for $15 or like $20 each I think. As long as they keep offering those coupons I'll return because without them it's just to expensive there and not worth it. Dave and busters has better food and a much bigger selection of games to choose from. And now also Taunton mall has a huge game arcade area that I recently discovered. I loved Chuck E. Cheese myself as a kid and there used to be one in the town I live in and I wish it never closed down, but it's just so expensive and the prize selection most locations in mass have is terrible cheap toys I can buy st dollar tree but ended spending $20 on to get tickets. Where dave and busters has a huge prize selection with better quality things. Last two times my kids had about 800 tickets each and they walked out with three crappy toys that typically break on the car ride home. I keep seeing locations shutting down constantly and it's for reasons being the corporate ceo is greedy and charges insane prices plus cares less it seems these locations hire crappy employees that pay more attention to their phones than actually working. To have a birthday party here also even the "cheapest" package is way more expensive than other places. I booked a party at the Boston Childrens m museum that included a hall room for an hour for us to eat have cake and presents then everyone guest was given passes for the day to roam museum and it was a good $200 cheaper than a two hour party at Chuck E. Cheese with a package that still was the largest and didn't offer enough pizza for the guest I was expecting and was two hours long versus children's museum offering hall for hour then could stay in museum all day until closing if wanted. We stayed a good five hours before finally leaving which two guests stayed after us a bit longer. If they don't lower prices or upgrade their food and prizes this whole chain in Massachusetts will end up wiped out due to other places being cheaper and better. read more

Displeased highly, regarding false security measures. Stamped hands to ensure children leave with who they came with. My child entered separately from me with her aunt. Their stamps matched. I entered unstamped. My stamped child and I exited Chuckie Cheese frighteningly easily. I tested the security purposely. I showed her wrist and my own, knowing we would not match. The woman said "oh I see the stamps and you match, have a nice day". The toddler and I walked out. I AM APPLAULED at the blatant false security!!! This company should be ashamed of themselves! I will test this again and will bring the local news media into this if not rectified by my recent corporate call. read more
