He saved the day for us…read more Our heat went down and after several phone calls only Gasko would come out to take a look at our situation at 11:00 on a bitterly cold night. There diagnosis, the chimney was blocked and we would need a new chimney liner. In the meantime both the heating boiler and the hot water heater would have to be shut down because we were in an unsafe situation. They recommended we call our service provider (Reliance Heating) out in the morning to see what could be done about a solution. So Thursday morning I called Reliance and several chimney sweeps too - one sweep arrived and their solution? We can help you in mid-January. Reliance came not once but twice - 1st guy said, your chimney's clogged and you'll have to get it un-clogged - thanks, and here's our bill. The second guy was more help, he gave me a few suggestions and then placed a call to a guy he thought might be able to help? I heard him describing the problem to this guy on the phone and then he said, "oh, you know about this problem"? It was Phil from Gasko. Phil came back this morning with a 40 ft. rented ladder and a new liner. With his 70 year old Dad holding the ladder, he removed the old liner, the squirrel debris, re-installed a new liner and turned the heat back on. Best service ever!!!! I had John come in to do a tap installation in my bathroom and kitchen. He was quick to respond to…read moremy Yelp request for a quote (on a Sunday). His prices were also better than the other plumbers who responded to my quote request. It turned out that the kitchen tap I purchased would not fit (I had a feeling it was not going to work). He removed the old kitchen tap, which was what I was having trouble with, and gave me some tips on how to install the new tap once I found one that fit. He then installed the bathroom tap and provided some other advice relating to the bathroom sink. He did not charge me for the kitchen tap installation. I found a kitchen tap that fit, and it is now installed and working great thanks to John. I will call him if I need any plumbing in the future.
