I give 2 stars ONLY because the salon is clean and pretty I came here because my usual salon was very busy but I needed a pedicure desperately. Upon walking in on a Friday afternoon, they were completely empty which should have been a red flag for me. I was happy to not have to wait though. They literally stared at me until I said what I wanted, none of them greeted me or asked how I could be helped. I usually pay $20 for a gel pedicure, this place charges $33. I think that's ridiculous considering their regular pedicure is priced at $15, you charge over 50% more for a different kind of polish? Ridiculous in my opinion. I stayed anyway because usually places with steep prices offer more services but no, the most bare minimum pedicure I've ever received. I typically don't mind that because I'm very ticklish but damn, $33 and no exfoliation or massage??? It's clear that the women who did my nails was inexperienced, she was filing my skin while shaping my nails. I was extremely uncomfortable the entire time. I don't mind being a part of an employees training process however, full disclosure is NECESSARY and a discount is ALWAYS offered in those cases. I've attached pictures, you tell me if you think this is worth $33. I always tip even when I'm not completely satisfied but not today. Won't be returning even if I'm desperate. read more

I came in to get my SNS/TIPS removed that i got at another place its 5$ to remove here good price BUT i feel like she used harmful products on me and she used a metro card to remove the tips my hands were sticky i feel like used MMA products if you google it, its super bad for your nails i did ask what she was using to remove them and she would just answer " nail polish removal " which i know it wasn't cause that does not result in stickiness and a bit burning, anyways so i did that and a regular manicure the price is 8$ good price BUT she did not cut my cuticles at all not even remove any unwanted stickiness from my hands, the color i chose seemed more nice than when she was painting it and the nail polish felt watered down i don't recommend this unless you need a quick manicure like me cause u got places to be and your original nail salon is booked read more

Been here three times and every time the service went from great to so-so. The first time I came in I got a mani and pedi and it was perfect, color lasted over a week and that's very rare since my manicure usually last 3 days. The second time I came in I got the gel color removed and got a manicure. The lady that was taking care of me seemed as she was bothered that she had to remove my gel manicure, she kept looking at her phone and clock as if I was a burden. Finally the gel color was removed and overall she did a great manicure and again it lasted around a week. My third time coming in I got another mani and pedi, even though I came in 3 hours before closing time it seem as if I was bothering again. How do you run a business where you make your customers feel this uncomfortable. When choosing the colors I was being rushed and I told the lady that I want the perfect gel color for my vacation and she just kept pushing fall colors. I finally chose a nice white shimmery color and a nice pink for my pedi. This time she took her time but during my vacation my nails kept breaking and the gel kept cracking. The inside looks newly renovated and clean. Their prices are a lot higher than most other places in the neighborhood. The woman that did my pedicure did a really good job and I like that they use brand new files for everyone. In a situation like that, I don't mind paying more for good quality and sanitary hygiene purposes. Everything was going well until the manicurist left me completely dissatisfied. I arrived on site with permanent french acrylic that were in need of a filling. Normally I pay $15 for a permanent french filling but they charge $20 and she did an awful job. She spoke no english so it was difficult for me to express my needs and my dissatisfaction. My filing was sloppy and looked like I purchased my nails from a drugstore and glued them on myself. I probably won't come back here but I'm glad I atleast liked my pedicure. read more

Came here since it's near my house and I needed a pedicure. It's my second time coming and I still don't know how to fully feel. I want to like them but I just feel like they're mediocre. I don't feel like I'm getting my nails DONE ... I feel like I'm just getting them painted. If that makes any sense. The pricing is fair and they're really nice. I wish we could give half stars because I would rate this place a 3 1/2. There are some things I liked and things I didn't like. The one ($) sign is misleading. I came in because I needed my nails done right away and my regular nail salon is all the way out on Long Island. I typically get UV gel nails, but I called them liquid gel and the owner did not know what I was talking about and, therefore, said she didn't do them. I went there anyway because I always break my nails and since UV gels nails are slightly pricier I decided to take them off and change to regular acrylic. When I got to the salon I tried to explain what I had again. They were still clueless until I saw the owner doing another customer's nails with the UV gel. I told them that's what I had and asked how much she charged. She told me $60 for a full set $45 for a fill in!!!! I told her that she was well overpriced for it because I only pay $25 for a fill in and with a coat of gel it's $30 at my regular salon. The full set is $50 btw. She debated with me and told me I didn't have UV gel nails because it's brand new. My friend has been getting it done for years. I still wanted to change to acrylic so I asked them to take them off. They tried to soak the nails off! Ha you can't soak UV gel nails off. I told them this, but they carried on still believing I didn't know what I was talking about. After trying and failing to soak them off the lady ripped them off. It hurt, but that's expected. My nails were done by the daughter. She was really sweet and did a great job shaping my nails. They also do a mini manicure and a hand massage which was nice. My nails are nice, however, I like designs or color and for some CRAZY reason they don't put clear gel over regular color. i have never heard of that. They said that I can only get clear gel over a gel color which doesn't make sense because the color gel is already gel. On top of that it was $15 more which is overpriced. I'm basing my prices on a Long Island salon and things tend to be pricier there. I didn't want to pay that much extra so I got the clear gel over a plain nail....boring :( Though I didn't care much for the owner's attitude, her daughter did a great job. ENTER WITH CAUTION- If you are looking for a gel manicure- Lily is the one to go to, however she doesn't understand a word of English and will not understand any specific requests- so stick with a solid gel color. I got several gel manicures from Lily and they were amazing, lasting up to 1 month once. However, while they appear sanitary, I would not trust them with your feet. They are definitely the place where I contracted a toe nail fungus (which by the way will take up to a year to clear). While in the store waiting for my turn on several occasions, I personally heard at least two other patrons complain that they got a toe nail fungus after getting a pedicure there. There is definitely a common denominator- hence why I say, enter with caution. To top it off, I find the owner to be quite lackadaisical, only pacing around waiting to collect his money. When those patrons complained of getting toe nail fungus he tried to brush it off and convince them that they must've contracted it elsewhere. He did not seem concerned at all. read more

I used to always go to Envy Nail Salon and settle on their ugly tips just for the prices but now I see that I have to pay for what I want. I went in for a silk nail wrap and came out completely satisfied. The workers there are very friendly and welcoming, and the amount of effort she put into each individual nail was pleasing. New owners, terrible service. Never going back. I had been going to Christy's for over 6 years. Kelly was amazing, she always did a fabulous job. I never had any complaints. I went there after the new owner took over and the new person that did my nails did a terrible job! They were filed horribly, some were thick, others thin. When I tried to explain what I wanted her to fix she didn't understand anything I was saying to her and just kept shaking her head. I have never found Lily pleasant and she's not any better now. As regulars were coming in and asking for Kelly and Grace, she was trying to pretend she was new and didn't know who they were. She made my French pedi look unprofessional as if I did it myself. I asked for sliver to cover up the mistake and they wanted to charge me. I'm like the lost theirs minds places don't charge for sliver once u paid extra for French. The nail technician was rushing doing my nails and i was telling her that certain nails weren't done correctly . She was huffing and puffing -- I've never had my nails look so awful . Came here to get my nails and toes done. Worst place I've been to so far. The nail polish on my toes was sloppy and came off a day later.. and for my nails.. I wanted an acrylic set. I had a picture of what I wanted for reference and asked the lady if she can do it. She said yes she can but she kept calling her coworker over to talk in their language, the coworker was trying to give her tips I guess because the lady that was doing my nails had no clue on what to do. As she was doing the acrylics, she cut me 5 times on 5 different fingers. The acrylic was sloppy, crooked and as for what I wanted from the picture.. it turned out she couldn't do what I wanted, I wasn't happy at all so I asked if she can redo just a few nails and just leave them regularly polished. She tried painting over the already horribly polished nails and it looked bumpy and nasty. I told her if she could just take the nail polish off completely and just paint it over. The lady gave attitude, sighed and rolled her eyes at me. I ended up with ugly acrylic nails that looked like chicklets gum. I wont be coming back. I found this place because I needed something close to my boyfriend's house. I had a few options but decided to choose Christy's based on reviews. And let me tell you, This place was truly a gem. The ladies are attentive and know what they're doing. The owner was there the day I went and he was on top of everything.They have a good selection of essie polishes and the prices aren't that bad. $20 for a full acrylic set. The only problem I had was that I was a little rushed and the lady who was taking care of me was going slowly. Love my ladies at Christys. Been going there for years and I'm only 17, they love both me and my mother. Always making nice conversation and service is good. Prices are cheap to average for the area and I wouldn't recommend a better place. Wait time is shorter in the mornings and they tend to get a little busy so i go as early as possible. Christy's is the only nail salon that I love going to. I get acrylic tips the majority of the time, and they last so long without falling off or cracking. The staff there are so nice, it's always clean. The 1 negative is that there is sometimes a bit of a wait when you want acrylics because only 2 ladies do them. But I have no problem waiting. I always see this place because it's close to my house but I've never gone in before today because I already have a nail salon that always go to and I love them. They know my nails and how they need to be treated. But today I didn't have time to go there and need to get my nails done for an event so I decided to come here because it was close and I read good reviews. However my experience was HORRIBLE. I know my nails are a little bit sensitive so there's always some pain when I get my nails done regardless of where I get them done and I told the lady who was doing my nails that and she said no problem. But she was extremely ruff and I even asked her if she could be a little gentler but she continued to be ruff to the point where all my cuticles were bleeding. And I'm fine with having one or two cuts when I get my nails done but all 10 fingers were bleeding. If you look closely at my cuticles you can actually see the cuts. The only reason I'm giving it 2 stars instead on one or 0 is because even with all the pain my nails did turn out nice and the owner noticed I was in pain and apologized. Really nice guy. read more

I have been patronizing Christy's for quite a number of years, and have always found their nail technicians to be consistent with their manicures and pedicures. They have many different special pedicure's which are absolutely heavenly. The technician works on your feet doing a massage for over one hour! The owners (husband and wife) are so pleasant, they even escorted me to my cab one night in the dark cold winter. Where would you get that kind of service? They also do waxing and massage, and I have tried those services, and they do very good work as well. If you want a relaxing day with any of the services they feature, you will be pleased. They go out of their way to make you happy, and you will keep on going back. You will not be disappointed, they treat each person as their only customer!! read more
