My 75 year old husband became ill when traveling 250 miles from home and had to be taken to this ER 11.17.24. He received immediate attention from the swift simplified process at the check in clerk, and from the entire medical team working with Dr. Pastor lab tech, nursing staff, and radiology. I was concerned when I saw the negative reviews posted on Yelp ,so I wanted to set the record straight as a retired RN - You will be in very professional and compassionate care at this facility in Beeville. Never end on a bad note. Always be sure to end things on a good note. I don't care if things go badly, that's apples and oranges But you must always be sure to end it on a good note; however it may be. My visit ended on a bad note, and I feel horrible. This hospital is disgusting. It's dirty, unsanitary, and smells like sewer. I was left unattended while my O2 levels spiraled out of control. My machine beeped too get someone's attention as I literally couldn't breathe and nobody ever came until they needed a urine sample. After getting back too my room for giving the urine sample the housekeeping staff had come in and threw away the remaining 3/4 of the bag of IV fluids I was receiving. I was then told I didn't need anymore fluids and I was again left alone for hours not seeing or hearing any staff. At one point I needed my nurse and was told she had gone down too the cafeteria. 2 hours before she returned. If you want actual answers or care please don't waste your time on this shit hole hospital. If I could give negative stars I would. read more

I went in on a Saturday with what was feared to be a blood clot and cellulitis in my foot. ER Dr. Cantu was caring and on point He called in a surgeon to look at my foot and they discussed transferring me to San Antonio or Victoria for an infectious specialist. They consulted with Methodist and started their recommendation. The nursing staff was amazing. Dr. Garcia did rounds on Sunday and did not show the concern that the other doctors did. He said he saw nothing and released me on 2/19. 3/1 Things continued to get worse and my Rhuemotologist referred me to an Infectious Specialist in San Antonio. I am looking at surgery tomorrow to release the fluid for the 2 different types of infection I have now. I am autoimmune!!! Please pay attention to the whole patient and not just a 1 minute moment spent with a patient. Treat the whole person and listen instead of being so quick to dismiss patients. read more

9-3-2021 An ambulance transported me to Christus Spohn hospital in Beeville due to breathing issues, severe headaches, fever and confusion. They completely misdiagnosed me even though I was having those symptoms and doctor Joshua J White DO falsified several details on the medical report. Then they had me transported to their psychiatric hospital in Corpus Christi where I was told that my family put me in there and if I didn't take the drug's they would make thing's hard on me and I wouldn't be able to leave. For three days I was lied to and disregarded till the lab results arrived +Positive for West Nile Virus and finally I was treated like a human being but by then I just wanted to get as far away from them as possible. The choice of going to any other medical facility then that one, can save you a lot of grief, if not your life. read more

I've heard nothing but bad things about this hospital and I'm starting to see why. I came into the ER and I started to sign myself in, and the woman behind the glass didn't look up or say anything. When I was finished signing in, I had to knock on the glass doors to get her attention and she rudely snatched the paper from me without saying anything. The wait to get into triage was short, and I was quickly called back. I explained to the 2 nurses in the room what was going on, and after I was escorted to a room. After about 10 minutes, a man walked in the room and asked me what was going on. He didn't tell me his name or if he was even the doctor, it was only until I asked that he said he was the physician. The door was wide open and he didn't close it, I did, to maintain my privacy (something ANY doctor should know). I didn't see him wash his hands either before he wanted to examine me, and I had to ask him if he would... I repeatedly told the doctor and nurses that I believed I was dehydrated and couldn't urinate, but the issue was never addressed. When I was finally able to try and use the restroom, I walked in to find blood all over the toilet seat. There was no toilet seat covers, and that was the ONLY restroom available in the ER. I had to walk out of the ER completely to use a different facility. HOW F***ING DISGUSTING!!!! After only having a few tubes of blood taken and being discharged, I felt like I wasn't treated fairly and they did little to nothing to help me. I was given no follow up instructions, and left wondering what was still wrong with me. The nurses were nice, but the doctor seemed clueless and unprofessional. Won't be going here again. I'll take the time to drive to Corpus and be treated right. This visit was a waste of time and money... read more

Came in to the ER with my wife due to some pain she was having. The lady at the front wasn't the most attentive. I think this had to do with her being engrossed in the small town gossip but the triage nurse, Michelle, and the other nurse that was in the back with my wife, Rosanna, were great! I didn't hold it against Rosanna that she was a Cowboy's fan. Esther came and did the ultrasound and was super nice. Dr. Cantu was professional and straight to the point. I have had some bad experiences at this hospital But I have to give 5 stars for the care the ER staff gave my husband on June 26 2018. My husband had an accident with a table saw at home and basically amputated his left thumb. If it wasn't for the staff I'm sure he would have lost it completely. They had him transported to University hospital in San Antonio. Looks like he will still have his thumb. I didn't get any names of the staff in Beeville. But I will do something to show our appreciation. read more

Horrible ! Spend over a week waiting on surgery . The surgeon was so arrogant that I lost all confidence in his ability to do the job . Nobody listens to patients unless something goes really wrong or file a formal complaint. Everyone is condisending and rude . They act like you are an inconvenience when in fact you are in the hospital for good reason . When I was discharged I was never given discharge or after care surgery instructions. I was told to go see my pcp , and sent home . Wow! I had to look up how to care for myself and when to except to feel better after the surgery I had. Thanks webmd! read more
