Booked a mini-session (30-minute photo shoot) with Amber to take our first formal family photos…read moreever. I was a little nervous with a spirited, almost 3-year-old and 8-month-old who was nearing bedtime. It's been so hard for me to find time to do anything after work so I was already stressed trying to plan the family around this narrow window of time. We were also playing by ear with rain consistently in the forecast, so I was nervous about the conditions. Amber communicated with me via text consistently so I knew where her mind was at and miraculously, the sun came out and did so radiantly! It was like a moment of heaven and I wish I could have stayed forever. Clearly, this wasn't her first rodeo! We started promptly and Amber was very productive with our time, guiding us with cues for poses, working in the moment with our little tornadoes, and making the most of our family dynamic. Going home, my hubby told me how happy he was that I arranged this for our fam and it was really validating because it meant to me, that he also felt at ease and happy with how our shoot went. More surprisingly, Amber turned around our photos at lightning speed! Honestly couldn't decide which photos to pick from, so I'm glad that Amber included as many as she could! This goes a long way with me as a busy mom who appreciates the little details and nuances in the extras. At…read morethe beginning I thought they were going to work out great as I was referred by a trusted friend who also got terrible treatment/service for her wedding. Apparently they were in the process of getting out of the wedding photography business when they were working with me and therefore the service was so awful that I had to wait over 4 months to get my photos back! When I tried to ask about the status of my photos I got snippy nasty emails saying that she "Turn around is a minimal 12weeks. It usually averages 12-15 weeks but that does NOT include holiday weeks. You guys are projected to be completed on or before 2/13." My response to this was "Wow really I had no idea it took that long" as of course she's not holding my wedding pictures hostage and I didn't want to make her anymore angry than she already was but then I get this response to mine:" That time frame is expressed at every consultation. It is specified as 12 weeks. It is also expressed that Weddings are not the front runner of my business, newborns are so my calendar stays frequently full. While we work on all sessions each style of session holds a different time line of being completed. As we work through the images I will be happy to send over additional sneak peaks but I can say with honesty that the time frame of a minimum 12 weeks is disclosed." The next time I heard from her was on 1/22 with a few sneak peaks and a promise to email once the CD's were mailed out. So why did it take so long to get CDs! The day of was also a crazy mess as we missed half our reception taking pictures and she was pushy and not working well with the other vendors for our wedding. On the note of quality, I didn't think they were that good and actually used family and friends photos instead when printing them out. Just stay away from this company unless you like being treated like you're working for them and not the other way around.

I hired this photographer over a year ago, set dates and paid deposits/location fees along the way. Less than one month before my bridal portrait shoot, she decided to take on a new full time job and can no longer commit to the date and time we had arranged. We tried several dates with the venue, however they were not available on that day. The photographer called me a liar and stated I had caused "hostility and disdain over something she could not control" - you chose to take on more than you could handle honey, that's not my problem. So now, less than two months before my wedding, less than one month before my bridal portrait, I have no photographer. She did refund us the deposit minus services rendered, however she refunded us the incorrect amount initially. I had to provide proof that other money had been paid to the company (as evidenced by a check with her signature on the back) to get the full refund - she can't even handle the finances of her company. Brides - avoid at all costs.

She was able to handle her subjects (my fiancee and me) with tact while getting us to pose and smile and still be relaxed. I'm an amateur photographer, and I can say that Olivia knows her profession very well; she is skilled and well versed in the technical side of things so that the focus could be on the subjects and setting and the shoot could flow. I am from Florida and I wanted to do my engagement shoot in the mountains near waterfalls up in NC. Being that I had never visited the mountains in NC specifically, I had no idea about what was around there and nor did my fiance. Olivia was so kind and so helpful- she listened to exactly what I wanted and what kind of pictures I dreamt of having, and then she herself suggested our engagement photo shoot location. We were initially nervous about doing the engagement shoot at Dupont Forest since Olivia never had done a photo shoot in this area, but luckily she did all her research before hand and was very knowledgeable once we got to the site.
