I had a tooth that needed a…read morecrown asap but I wanted someone more knowledgeable to look at the issues with my jaw and do it instead of the type of dental chains that had messed up the crowns on my other molars resulting in teeth taking force they couldn't withstand. I cut apart these dentures that didn't fit to make 2 pieces that would support either side of my jaw because I could feel the teeth around missing ones shifting. The throbbing in my jaw kept from eating, drinking, and eventually sleeping. Finally I found someone who could say why and seemed like she could finally apply a better solution. I had another answer to go with the one that solved my 30 years of health problems earlier that same year. I forgot a rule I learned as a teenager. Never have too much hope. Not in a person. Not in a possible solution. If you lose too much hope at once you risk being unable to recover and keep trying again. I was dealing with a LOT. A sudden $40k extra loan due to my mom's actions. My sister flipping out I was complaining and eventually blocked me from her life. I had finally gotten someone to look at my spine after a fall I'd taken off a horse at 11, which my mom never took me to a doctor for. I could finally move, breathe, and I had a reason for anything I failed to accomplish that disappointed my mom, stepdad, sister... growing up. They estimated my functioning level was at 20% of normal when I started treatment. My family didn't care. My sister called it a sob story. I acquired an empty lot really cheap to try to start up a business on but the cheap part was knee deep poison ivy covering invasive honeysuckle bushes. With the sudden loss of funds I was clearing it with a push mower and mini chainsaw. As fall and then winter approached I started suffering brain fog and fatigue again. Not keeping track of time well. One of my myriad of diagnoses that might all go back to my spinal injury is fibromyalgia. In the middle of this I was waiting for Dr. Strasser's office to contact me as I was told they would when my scans were ready. I also decided I had no choice but to wait until insurance reset and get the crown on the damaged molar asap in Jan. Suddenly we receive in the mail that a bill is going to collections. We had no time to figure out how to pay it. They claim they called my husband's phone and left voice mails but he has an extra service that records everything and turns his voice to text. There is no record of anything. They claim they sent letters before that but I don't know where those went. Maybe they used the old address on my license instead for the rest and then someone else sent the last notice but I can't find out. With everything I was dealing with and my husband avoiding the stress of it we didn't get the situation cleared up quickly but we did pay the bill in full. Dr. Strasser did not even complete service of going over my scans. I didn't choose not to pay. I wasn't allowed to pay my bill. I was not informed of the bill. I was off fighting to get back the life I haven't been able to have while something completely unknown was happening to the future care I put everything on. The office staff seemed to have no issue with the mistakes and said they just wanted to confirm how long to make the appointment for. Then I'm told she won't see me again. No referral. No suggestion where else to go. No idea who else can deal with the unique issue of my jaw or even has the equipment to read those complex scans. Nowhere to fix the teeth actively being damaged. Nothing. Just dumped. Was I supposed to keep my dentist apprised of my life details? Am I responsible for whatever technical or human errors caused no correspondence to reach me? I don't know. I will never know because she won't even make an appointment to inform of anything. It's possible regular medical is needed to fix my jaw but that's in the scans and her knowledge I was suddenly denied without warning. I don't even know what type of doctor or dentists to call next. I am coming up with quick fixes modifying my 2 denture pieces and mouth guards to keep my teeth from getting worse until I can figure out what to do. I was abandoned when I most needed care. I am finally getting back out of brain fog and fatigue enough to try to figure out what to do about my uneven jaw and failing teeth. Of all the medical professionals that have let me down none have ever done such an extreme 180 when I was fighting to find ways to comply with instructions that didn't fit my needs like only drinking water when I am prone to electrolyte imbalances and fighting to get my husband to agree to keep paying for treatment there.

Having struggled with dental anxiety and some previous negative experiences elsewhere, Dr. Kendall is a breath of fresh air! I highly recommend him for your dental needs!

We had gone to the East Moline Dental Center for a number of years under the previous dentist, Dr…read more Naert, and had good care. However, when he took on a partner in Dr. Kendall, this practice went downhill fast. It started with charging us for a baby tooth barely hanging on by a thread being pulled. Dr. Naert told us he would not charge us for it since it was already WELL on its way out. But then we get the bill for it ($95 for a tooth hanging on literally by one root!!!) we call and they refused to take it off the bill. Then they convince us to get sealant put on my teeth and my oldest son's teeth, making it sound like it is a normal thing that insurance normally will cover. Then we get the outrageous bill for that, and when we ask another dentist about it are told there was no reason for it to be put on our son's teeth since he still had baby teeth at the time. So we contest that billing as well, come to find out when dental insurance pays your dentist, they try to negotiate the bill based on prices in your area and the industry. Dr. Kendall DOES NOT NEGOTIATE AND CHARGES WELL ABOVE AVERAGE COST!!! The final straw however was in our final visit when we were charged for a cleaning that did not occur, the dentist only checked my wife's teeth and no cleaning was done. This place is a joke under Dr. Kendall and is not a place I would suggest to my worst enemy, even if they were Toothless Joe! Will definitely NOT go back here ever, and would strongly encourage others to leave or never go there in the first place.
