These people can't get their act together. 4 years in a row, school pictures come out showing my child looking nothing like real life and looking worse than real life. Every year, I've had retakes and they are no better. Plus, the people working there are rude and don't explain things clearly. Their website is not intuitive to order. Impossible to see your pictures on the special backgrounds they offer. Stupid. You have to just guess that your picture will look good on the background you want. My child looks drunk, asleep, washed out, blurry and messy every single year. I have no clue why our school district uses them. SO MANY parents are disgusted with them. read more

My daughter's senior portrait session turned out really nice. We actually had 2 sessions...the first set of pictures, we were not completely thrilled with. It was very considerate and thumbs up for customer service when I called from the car on our way home and told them that after we left the studio, that we wanted to re-take them. I can't recall the person's name who took our call, but they were very accommodating and understanding and booked us a quick re-take slot! I was completely disappointed in their services. Our school was using them for senior pictures which I was excited about. The pictures were ok, but the service and the people working there are horrible. They just wanted to push you through because they knew that they had the school contract and you were going to buy the pictures anyway. I also had an issue with my password not working to order online when I called they said it had to be reset and they could not do that and they would call back. It took a week to get resolved. I would not recommend using them. read more

We had Aaron as the photographer and he was great. Very friendly and helpful. The pictures came out ok. My sons head was tilted down in a handful of them which looked strange. There were some that came out nice. My biggest issue is the cost. The cost of the packages are outrageous and even to buy a la cart is very expensive. They do offer a $35 credit with most packages but that doesn't even cover one picture sheet or even half of the smallest, cheapest package. Because of this it makes it difficult for some families to be able to afford studio photos. read more

I wanna give this place minus 2 stars!! I'm simply angry at the incompetent people working there. Had a senior yearbook pic appt for 6:30.. We showed up at 6:10pm. 20 minutes early. In a suit! None of their clothes needed. Only 1 other person in the waiting area.. Waited patiently for 20 minutes. Then the place gets busy. And no one takes us in. So I ask the lady - is there a waiting list or what's happening. She checks ..says our photographer is "running behind" -ok. So I ask how much longer. She checks and says oh jus a few minutes. Meanwhile 5 other kids gets their pics done in a snap!! AND we're trying on clothes from the rack!!! After asking over again..FINALLY and HOUr after we arrive a photographer stops what he's doing..not the one we had the appt with- takes the pic. Took all of 4 MINUTES!!! The woman at the desk blamed it all on the photographer. Umm NO its whoever a scheduling the appt's!!! As wellll !!!!!! Mind you I'm going with a different place & private photographer for my sons photo session..because I don't deal with inconsistent incompetent business' !!! Absolutely no customer service. It's like a circus !! With no ringleader!!! And I'm gonna let EVERYONE I can know how terrible it is. read more

I arrived for my appointment on time and had to wait a while to actually go back to take my senior pictures. Other's were going back to take theirs before me when their appointments were later than mine. My photographer said he was "self taught" which made me a little uneasy. The pictures were okay but some of them were not thought through. I was sent my proof booklet 3 times because pictures from my session were missing. I went to order online and was having trouble but was pleased with the customer service I was given by one of the girls. read more

My school pictures are awful. I spent money to order high quality school pictures I got the opposite. The pictures have good quality, but my face looks horrible. I look very pale, almost to the point of looking sick, one eye is lower than the other, and to top it all off, I'm not smiling whatsoever and I remember smiling on picture day. My wife took my son for senior photos. While we were not going to purchase from CCS because we were/are going to go through a private photographer, life got in the way and I wanted to see the proofs maybe possibly order through them instead to just be done with it. Well in order for me to see how they came out online I need to provide a $35 deposit to see if I like the proof and then decide if I want to order or come in person to look and sit with a sales person and decide what I want to buy at that time. Just ridiculous! You had someone possibly interested in making a purchase but just pissed on that now. read more

I will literally never give this company my money ever again. To start, they did not send home order forms this year which is fine but only sent home a form saying what day is picture day. No where did it explain how to order pictures. I had to wait until a proof card was sent home and then went online where it proceeded to explain I am supposed to print a form out and bring it on picture day which had obviously already passed. I was then charged twice for a digital picture (including shipping) when the digital order is sent via email. I had called to resolve the issue and the lady I spoke to was very confused as to what I was trying to explain and offered to resend me a digital picture but not reimbursement. I had asked for a reimbursement and she offered me reimbursement without the shipping charge. I was very disappointed by the organization of this company and the lack of understanding by the staff. read more

Second year in a row I am using Christmas City for senior pictures (daughter this time.) We had to wait an hour for our session which was disappointing, but the photographer ended up spending more time on us at the end so it worked out. My daughter just got her senior pictures done and while they were ok, I felt that the experience was a bit lackluster. The photographer seemed to be a little more skilled than an amateur photographer. I was directing the photographer and making most of the adjustments so that the picture looked ok. When we went to order the pictures there were so many "extra" charges to get just a basic picture it was ridiculous. Glad we chose another photographer to do her full set of senior pictures. I couldn't imagine having to work another photo shoot. read more

This studio needs to return to personal customer service that Christmas City was once known for. I was literally told today that they cannot be expected to make 10 phone calls to let someone know their proofs are ready. 10? How about 2? With today's technology, there must be a way for Christmas City to verify that the CUSTOMER has accessed (online access) or has stopped by to pick up the proofs. And if they actually care, maybe they would make more than 1 phone call if the CUSTOMER has not picked up the proofs before the appointment to order. Have had 7 students through the years take their Senior Photos here. Have never been told that it's not their problem to verify I got rhe proofs. Not their problem. Perhaps a "Sorry you didnt know the proofs were ready for pickup. How about we reschedule you to come back so you can have a few days to look through these photos?" Instead I was told they are too busy to follow through with such things. I suggest people take a look at other local photographers. I have seen some impressive photo shoots from photographers who are talented & customer-care oriented. read more

I had my first (and LAST) experience with Christmas City Studio. Very unprofessional grumpy attitude with phone sales consultant. His first session needed retakes due to photographer not knowing what he was doing and asked my son not to smile on his candid shots, may dark pic and multiple of the same pose and he looked depressed in most of the images. On his 2nd session was so fast he had a hair in his face that they didn't fix, BUT, they are happy to charge me $20. per image to fix). When I questioned why the photographer didn't tell him, sales lady said, "he gets a changing room". Actually lady, NO he didn't, this was a retake, and the photographer took him right to the studio room, and he was done in 5 minutes. She offered to drop the cost to $10. per image, but the was, "the best she could do". Ps. the say Gold retouching for fly away hair, blemishes, moles, scars, etc. that is included in every package, but there is an exception list... "hair correction". I just got a nasty feel when I tried to order a package. I should have read the Yelp! comments first.... It's a shame, I had planned to spend $$$ for senior pics. read more

Customer service wouldn't be anything if it wasn't for that young man that seemed to be the only one working. I've called numerous times wondering about when my example pictures would get to my house and no one can ever answer the phone. It's as if they're avoiding calls and doing nonsense. So I had to drive an hour to get to the studio after a month of waiting for pictures and upon arrival your parking lot was being paved and there was no parking. Therefore I was furious at this point. Once I got the opportunity to go in I had the intentions of bitching and ranting but the way this young man handled everything I was thoroughly impressed with how he handled the situation. If he wasn't there I don't think I would have ever been helped. The pictures were great but the customer service was sub par. Make sure you let them know you mean business before being a customer otherwise they'll pay you no mind. Good luck everyone! read more

I had a great experience here! I am currently a senior in high school and I have recently gotten my senior pictures taken at Christmas City Studios. The studio has a warm and hospitable atmosphere and the employees are always ready to help you at hand. The photographers were patient and made sure that every detail of my portraits were perfect. The photographs came out beautifully and I cannot wait to see more from the studio! We came here to get my sons yearbook photo taken. Started out fine. We checked in and were almost immediately taken upstairs to wait for our photographer. After waiting a few minutes, one of the employees came out and said they would be with us shortly. At this point, there were several people waiting. Shortly after, another employee goes into one of the rooms and can be heard complaining to another employee about their computer equipment not working and how she was getting backed up. It was a conversation a customer should not have been able to hear. We ended up waiting about 45 minutes to have a quick 15 minutes session. I feel our photographer overall did a good job but seemed distracted. This could have possibly been because someone kept coming into the room to give him more appointment clipboards. Hey I realize things happen and businesses fall behind schedule from time to time but everything seemed very unorganized and the employees didn't seem very enthusiastic about their jobs. I, too have a job where technology can be an issue but you can't have your customers not feeling like a priority and let them know your frustrations. It isn't professional. I can say that I am glad I didn't have my sons full senior photos done here and had them done elsewhere or this review may have been worse. On the upside, the yearbook photos were done well. read more

I called on June 9, 2016 to inform your studio that the package I ordered for my child's first ever spring pictures (he's in kindergarten, we were so excited!) were incomplete, as I ordered a larger package with 2 poses and only received a small package of a few photos of only 1 pose. I was advised that the missing photos would be sent out immediately and I received an apology. I was satisfied with the apology and the promise to correct the problem immediately. HOWEVER, it's been three weeks and I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED any photos. So I call to follow up on the error only to find that NOTHING WAS EVER DONE THE FIRST TIME. They didn't send me out the new photos that were missing from my package, they didn't correct the error at all. I had to again explain through gritted teeth that the picture package I PAID IN FULL FOR OVER A MONTH AGO was not what I received. AGAIN I had to explain what was missing and was again told they would send the pictures out immediately. This time, however, I am not as accepting of a mere apology that they were not sent correctly the FIRST or even the SECOND time. That is just unacceptable. read more
