Jessi, the store owner is such a sweetheart and so helpful. I always find the cutest clothes for my 4 year old and 9 year old daughters at her shop. One thing I appreciate in particular about UP is the wide range of prices and variety of clothing. The winter apparel is AMAZING and affordable for growing little ones. Jessi is very involved with the Rutland/Killington community and hosts sales and special events periodically (which she usually posts about on social media). Not only does UP have clothing for children of all ages, but they also carry merchandise from local Vermont vendors like jewelry and accessories that make great gifts. Pricing is reasonable and I left with a pair of like-new haflinger slippers and a pair of vintage Levi's that fit me better than any jeans I've tried on before! Things that stood out to me: they have a great selection of mens sweaters and jackets, and their denim collection is huge so worth trying on at least a couple pairs of their vintage jeans. Her shop is HUGE, lots of different styles of clothing, shoes, purses, etc. I found so much stuff, I thought "oh, I'll never be able to afford all this". When she added up my purchases, I ended up paying less for a practically new wardrobe than I probably would have paid for the one coat I chose if I'd bought it new. And she is incredibly nice. She gave me her honest opinion about some of the clothing I tried on. It was like having a friend there helping me pick out clothes that looked good on me. I will definitely shop there again.

A great find. Was done work early and looking for a record store. Google told me it was a block…read moreaway. (How's that for fate?) Decent sized store with a more than decent inventory. Stereo equipment, jewelry, clothing, cds, and RECORDS!!! New! Used!! Repressed!! They have it. For the most part pretty well organized as well. One of the few record stores that actually has a country section! I found a bunch of albums that I hadn't seen before. Great find! I ended up with a couple of dozen albums that were a mixture of new and used, rock, metal and country. There's also a display case with pins, patches, buttons, and asst heavy metal wristbands etc where I did get some pins I haven't seen in decades. When it was time to check out, no bags. Nope. Don't want to have bags rip. A nice heavy duty shipping box that had all the packaging material so the records couldn't bounce around in the box. Very very considerate. Only downside was parking. While I did find a parking spot immediately in front of store, the pay kiosk is half a block away. I'm old and lazy. There is a walmart across the street with free parking. Had I paid attention, I would've parked there. But that's the only downside. I'll be back in Rutland in about a month. I will definitely make time to revisit this store. Thank you.
