We could also mark areas that we didn't want touched. The waiting area is super comfortable - it's warm, smells nice, and is clean and cozy. When we started, we were taken into separate rooms. The practitioner I was with was very gentle, checked in to make sure nothing hurt, and was very thoughtful overall. This was actually my first time getting a professional massage like this and it was a wonderful first experience. I was comfortable the whole time and felt that if I needed to let the practitioner know if something didn't feel good, I could do that.
