My journey started on a whim - what was my current home worth? I reached out to Christie and she was able to get me accurate comparables for the area which helped me make one of the biggest decisions of my life - to sell my home of 13 years and buy a new one. Christie was there every step of the way from sending me homes to browse online, texting me with ideas, listening to all of my wants and dislikes in order to recommend homes which would be perfect for me, all the way to hand holding me through the entire buying process. She is knowledgeable about the area, has an amazing amount of experience regarding the quality of a home (from building materials, noticing all of the imperfections, all the way to helping determine worth of the home I was interested in), was very patient and always available. I was blown away at how she took care of everything, even talking me off the ledge when I thought I would lose my mind over the overwhelming process. She breaks things down into the simplest of terms and wouldn't let me buy something unsafe or unsuitable. She was there for me, not the seller, and made sure I was completely taken care of from the moment I started looking to the day I put the key in the door of my new home. She followed up on every question I had and even helped me find a contractor to help me make changes once I purchased the home. I cannot speak highly enough of Christie, there is no way to put into words how much she did or the value of her assistance. I would recommend her to anyone looking to buy or sell a home. She is simply the most amazing person and realtor to work with! read more

Working with Christie was an absolute amazing experience. As first time home buyers, it seemed such a daunting task to even think about purchasing a home over 3 hours from where we were living, while also having to relocate our two small daughters, let alone putting my husband in charge of everything since I was in my final semester of dental school and trying to graduate. We had only one weekend where I could get away to come look at homes and Christie set aside her weekend and time with her family to show us those homes. She took extra care to really get to know me, insisting on driving me around to the homes we were looking at in order to get to talk with me and gain a feel for who I really was and what I really wanted so she could factor that in to my husband's feedback. With her help and guidance, our home buying experience went along with hardly a hitch and we are now in an area and a home that we absolutely love. She's a fierce negotiator and puts a firm foot down to really argue for her clients and their wishes and makes herself so available to her clients- even answering random anxiety-ridden text messages in late evening hours. There aren't enough positive things our little family can say about Christie. read more

Let me just say when we got Christie Gilliam as our realtor, we got the BEST REALTOR IN TEXAS. We decided to move from VA back to Texas, so we contact Christie. She made us feel so comfortable from the first time we meet her. She is honest, friendly, knowledgeable and patient with use. She never made us feel like we had to decide right now. She sat with us and asked us what are likes and dislikes are in each home. She listened to us and found us the perfect home. Not only did she find us the perfect home, she did all the walk thru prior to closing and the final walk thru, this is how much we trusted her. She sent pics and face timed us showing us flaws/problems in the house prior to closing, things that I wouldn't even have noticed, but she is very detailed. She did our closing in Texas, which with her help went smoothly. Christie never made us feel like we were just a client to her. She was always smiling and talked to us like she knew us forever. We will never be able to express the thank you to her for helping us find the perfect house in Texas. She is the only realtor I would deal with and would highly recommend in Texas! read more

We had an amazing experience working with Christie and her team. We were out of state and needed to find a house quickly, so we were relying on her a lot - and she went above and beyond. She showed us multiple houses over video, walked through everything in detail, and really made us feel like we were there in person. She was also incredibly flexible with timing and made herself available when we were in a time crunch, which we really appreciated. One thing that really stood out was how thorough she was. When she showed us a house, she didn't just walk through it - she pointed out things we wouldn't even think about, like the drive to the house, how close it is to the highway, the noise level, and both the good and not-so-good aspects. It honestly felt like she was looking at the house as if she were buying it herself. Her team was just as great - their support didn't stop once we found the house. They guided us through everything that came after and made the whole process feel much less overwhelming. We truly felt like Christie and her team were part of our family throughout this process. We can't recommend her enough! read more

I am from Vietnam 6 years ago, still struggle with paperwork, regulation, etc. Imaging buying my first home with my beautiful wife. We keep saying thank God for finding Christie as a realtor. She is very down to earth, easy to talk to. I feel like a boss while working with her, because she keeps on saying "you are the boss". Her knowledge is exceptional, I can say it after couple years working with many other realtor and didn't work out. She is very detailing and making sure you understand what you are doing. She will be on your side if you give her a chance. The way she treat the seller realtor, to me, said highly about her, she really has a caring heart for everyone doesn't matter who you are. She does a great job first of all because her heart is for people. My wife and I are blessed now to know her not only as a realtor but also a friend and a client, we look forward to work with her again in next couple years when we will need another house, YES, after working with her I feel strongly confident to invest in realty with her on my side. I highly recommend you give her a chance, she is THE GREATEST. read more

As senior citizens, moving from 1,000 miles away was a scary undertaking.Based on multiple positive online reviews, we took a chance on Christie Gilliam of Bentwood Realty in Waco,TX and we consider ourselves to have been among the luckiest for having worked with her. We have purchased numerous homes in our 32 years together and, Christie was by far, the best real estate professional we have ever worked with. She listened, she understood; she and her team worked hard for us. Christie became our advocate and there was not one moment in the process that we had anxiety or stress about the work she was doing on our behalf; we always knew she had our backs. We could sing our praises for Christie Gilliam for a very long time and still would not find enough words to describe how great she is and how grateful we truly are for our new home and all that she did to support us in our new adventure. In many ways we feel like we have also gained a friend. Thank you Christie Gilliam! read more

There's not enough stars to rate how AMAZING Christie is! She has been along my husband and I's house hunting journey for TWO YEARS and has been right by our sides the entire time. You will not find a more knowledgeable and professional realtor that Christie. I know people talk about service 24/7, but Christie really was available 24/7 which came in handy because we were calling from California. She helped find us the best mortgage company, and a contractor that we just loved to work with. We sent Christie 28 home listings from California that she analyzed with us, and did never changed her positive attitude. We would still be in California if it was not for Christie. I phone interviewed six realtors from California before selecting Christie to work with. It was the best decision in many years for me. There is not a better realitor in Waco, or Texas, that Christie....Thank you Christie. read more

Christie is honest and real. She was a perfect fit for us. She went above and beyond to help us find a home in the Waco area. We were coming from just outside of Houston and she accommodated by going to homes we wished to see, to do a virtual tour. That helped us immensely and saved us several times driving to find out it just wasn't the one. It took us a little over 4 months to find our forever home. I would recommend Christie to anyone buying a home. She is a buyer's agent and will help you see what you may not see at a house. She is someone I hope to have a continued friendship with. She is just an awesome person in general. read more
