My husband and I saw many counselors before him and none were working. I wish I had words to explain just how incredible and absolutely gifted by the Lord Jesse is. There's no explanation for how he does what he does other than the Lord working through him. Our family likely would not be whole and healthy right now if it wasn't for his guidance and how he truly listens to the Lord. Three or four of my friends now see him too and feel the same way. I am sooooo thankful to Jesse. I can't recommend him enough.

I was in the room, as her mother, because she wanted me there and what I witnessed was something I've never experienced in counseling and completely unexpected from a place that calls itself Christian. Then the therapist reached out to me and acted like she was not able to connect with my daughter because I was in the room. I was the problem and the therapist has 'seen that so many times before'. I then responded because I needed to share my daughter was horrified and never wants to be in that situation again; she was grateful I was there and said she would've left the room crying had I not been in there with her. I have never heard anything back after my email. Where is the integrity? I share this because I want parents to be cautious. It feels difficult to find people to help when we're struggling and it's sad we can't know there will be peace and safety at a place just because it calls itself Christian.

The breath work acts as a tangible catalyst to release blocked areas in a profound way., I felt like I not only had a renewed perspective on the areas I chose to work on, but also felt like I was reclaiming lost aspects of myself that needed to "come home." As a result, I…read moreping-ponged from one toxic relationship to another because I didn't know what love was and didn't believe it existed - for me, at least. Eventually I turned to spirituality for answers and healing. I studied "A Course in Miracles," Science of Mind, Law of Attraction, manifestation and more. I also learned several intuitive healing techniques that helped me personally, as well as other people I have been privileged to work with. It became clear, over time, that while I had mentally embraced my new love-based beliefs and values, I still had a hard time living them. I wasn't walking my talk and didn't know what to do about it. Here's the thing: most of the healing work I'd done was from the neck up. I was trying to think my way to love and abundance, as many emotionally shut-down, numbed-out people try to do. Enter Maren Nelson, Breathwork healer extraordinaire. Maren gently helped me release the emotions I'd suppressed because they hurt too much, and guided me to harmlessly release them in ways that healed my body and cleared my mind. This opened the door to profound emotional and spiritual insights my brain would never have taken me to, because brains don't go there. That is not what they do. Maren's marvelous work, over the past 15 years, continues to bring me back into my body ... back into my life ... back to remembering my true self - a Being of Love and Light. Just like Maren. Just like you. My respect, gratitude and love for Maren are greater than words can say. So I'll just say this - if you've discovered, as I have, that you can't think your way to loving relationships or fulfilling work that prospers you and others - try Maren's way!

Long version: I was originally apprehensive because I couldn't find any reviews for Dana, and when I saw she worked 16 years as a midwife I worried she would be like some of my previous psychiatrists/doctors who made me feel uncomfortable about not wanting children or about being gay. But I really needed an appointment ASAP and she was the soonest available so I went out on a limb and I am sooo glad I did. Dana was absolutely wonderful. I have very bad anxiety and find it difficult to talk to people and I'm easily put off, but Dana was incredibly easy to talk to, kind, understanding, and she made me feel comfortable right away.
