Yes, their email communications are informative and do an excellent job of telling what they have going on. St. Matthews hold several events every month including events focused on building community. Fr. Bruce sees "church" as being what happens inside the building and what happens out in the community. I've been to their Wednesday evening service twice, including a taize service. The taize service was quite meditative. For anyone in the Liverpool area who is looking for a church, I recommend going to St. Mathews and giving them a try. They are a welcoming church!

The short, portly, white haired, balding usher ignored my husband twice when he attempted to put offering in the basket. The stocky usher simply walked by ignoring him. As a lifelong Catholic from the Caribbean I have never encountered such flagrant rudeness and prejudice. My husband is white so he was obviously upset that my non-Polish, German husband was there with a non-white Caribbean. VERDICT - I would never step foot inside this church ever again, Polish folks are still as racist as ever. And You wonder why the Catholic Church is losing parishioners.
