After a disastrous experience with my general dentist--who began Invisalign treatment before referring me for necessary extractions--I ended up facing painful and unavoidable complications. The delayed referral caused my extra teeth to shift, cutting through my gums and even fracturing the root of a neighboring tooth. Since May, I've had three extractions, a root canal, and an apicoectomy. It's been an incredibly difficult road, but the one thing that has made this bearable is the professionalism, expertise, and kindness of Dr. Walker and his team. From the front desk to the surgical support staff, everyone has treated me with compassion and thorough care. Dr. Walker took the time to explain everything, answer questions, and guide me through each step with clarity and patience. If you are facing the daunting prospect of oral or facial surgery, I would recommend this practice without hesitation. They are the only reason I've made it through this ordeal with my sanity--and a (somewhat restored) smile.

Insurance then advised US that allowed amount is $2700. No one ever called to let us know of a refund. We had to approach them for it. Checks cut on Fridays and take a week to 10 days for it to arrive. That's a lotta float for monies owed to a patient. Not the first time this has happened with them.

Her friendly smile and efficient manner always sets a positive tone for the visit. Laura is an absolute gem--so personable and warm when checking us out at the end of our appointments. She makes the whole process feel seamless and always sends us off with a smile. Jill, the office manager, is truly the glue that holds everything together. You can tell she's amazing at keeping the practice running smoothly--everything is so well-organized, and the staff clearly works together like a well-oiled machine. Chandler, our dental hygienist, is simply wonderful. She's cheerful, thorough, and has such a deep knowledge of dental care. Her upbeat personality makes cleanings something to actually look forward to! And of course, Dr. Lentz--there truly aren't enough words. He has to be the best dentist in the world. I arrived at 10:45 for my 11:00 appointment. At 11:10 I notified the receptionist that my time is valuable too. She went to the back to see what the hold up was as I was walking out the front door. She found me at my truck and said they were running late and that I had only made my appointment two days ago. I told her it was still an appointment that they had accepted and if they can't keep their appointments that I would just have to find another dentist. BYE!

When I came to Hamilton Mill Oral & Facial Surgery (Dr. Yadira Cardona-Rohena's practice) for a surgical procedure, I expected precision--and what I received was far beyond that. From the moment I walked through the door, I was treated with the same respect and attention that one would hope to receive in any high-performance team environment. The staff greeted me promptly, introduced themselves clearly, and explained each step of the process in plain but comprehensive terms--something I value deeply after years of mission briefings and operational de-briefings. Dr. Cardona-Rohena displayed a level of competence and compassion that is rare. She took the time to listen to my concerns, assessed the situation thoroughly, and laid out the options with clarity and transparency. Her background in oral and maxillofacial surgery--supported by rigorous training in jaw, face, and mouth complexities--was evident. Her confidence put me at ease; her empathy reminded me of the camaraderie I've known in service. The facility's atmosphere is relaxed yet professional--no sterile impersonal coldness, no feeling like a number. The ancillary staff were efficient, punctual, and friendly; the pre-operative and post-operative protocols were handled smoothly. From the front desk through billing and follow-up, the entire "mission" was executed flawlessly. Having served and relied on teams where failure is not an option, I can honestly say that the care I received here met and exceeded my expectations. If you're looking for oral and facial surgical care from a practice that treats you like a valued individual--not just a procedure--Hamilton Mill Oral & Facial Surgery delivers.

I first showed up for an extraction (Sept 22), and instead of being treated, I was told that I needed to schedule another appointment for the surgery, and I would have to continue in pain. I went to the next appointment (Oct 3) and they took out my tooth but it was like social hour at the club! Idle chat and conversation in Spanish, while carving my tooth out between Dr. Cardona and her staff. I returned the next week (Oct 8) for a surgery check and complained of the sharp edges. Dr. Cardona polished one corner off, and it felt better. They said that if I needed more takeoff to feel more comfortable, then I could come back. I went back in for them to do this at the appointed surgery day, scheduled time (Oct 14th), and I was told that I could not be seen until after another patient. They had two cases scheduled at the same time. If I stayed, I would miss my Cardiac Stress Test. I chose to leave. After that, they scheduled me in again (only on surgery day) (Oct 17th) at lunch, and I did forget since I was involved in another urgent matter. When I called, they refused to see me and only referred me back to the VA. When I explained that the sharp point on my tooth was cutting my lower lip, it didn't resonate. I know that the VA probably sent a lot of taxpayer dollars to this outfit (Yadira Cardona-Rohena, DMD), but as a veteran, the government should get a refund! They deserve way less than 4.7 stars. Patient beware! BP
