TL;DR: On the back end of a successful (and short) house hunt, we firmly believe you will be hard pressed to find a real estate agent who will work as hard on your behalf. While he got us into a house we plan to love for years to come, if/when we do look again down the road, we will definitely work with Chris. As first time home buyers in an extremely competitive market, we knew that choosing the right realtor was an important decision. We did our research and landed on Chris as a top option. After one intro call, we felt like we were headed down the right path and felt fortunate that Chris was interested in working with us. We were looking in a market that was outside Chris's normal area of focus. We worried that not having a "local" agent would put us at a disadvantage in terms of local knowledge and relationships. This proved to be a non-issue. Chris did a spectacular job quickly building rapport with the various listing agents. Meeting Chris: We were introduced to Chris by a friend. We had already found a place we loved, and put an offer on it with a different agent - so pretty far ahead in our process. We weren't even sure how this agent would be different that the other one, but we trusted this friend and decided to call Chris. Just in this initial call, we had learned how wrong we were. The other agent had NO idea how much that property was worth, and we were misled in our offer. Obviously, we didn't get that place and it came as no surprise that the clients who won the bidding war was associated with Chris's team. Working with Chris: Even before meeting him, we were convinced that Chris was a notch above others and we needed him on our team. He arrived at the first private showing in a full suit & tie, with printed details about the property and his own list on insider info. He had a very positive energy and was smiling the entire meeting. I was amazed at how prepared he was! He was already aware of our wants/needs but we went over them again with more context.
