We did some grocery shopping and picked up some takeaway food for lunch. The samosa two sizes were on the better side when you compare with other Indian stores, but the mint, cilantro and green chillies chutney was the best I have ever had. They don't add yogurt (some Indian restaurants and grocery stores do) to this chutney so it was vegan which I loved. Also took a Onion Kulcha which was very good for a grocery store. Served with chickpeas and yogurt on the side. Even though we had the kulcha a good hour after pickup, it still tasted amazing. The Chole Channa was average. I would drive all the way just for the chutney and while there would have some kulchas to go as well. The store is good. Clean. The prices are reasonable and cashiers were pleasant to deal with.

I guess its their management who train their staff to put at least one item either scan twice or any item of $3-$4 extra. Mostly when you buy groceries you don't check each and every item they are scanning. For $3-$4 you don't care much and you don't drive back to get refund. And these people take advantage of it. So just a suggestions either avoid their stores or if you don't have any other choice(there are lots of other Indian stores) in Brampton take some extra time to check each and every item they scan and check their screen what are they punching. Honestly speaking I never have had this issue with any other Canadian grocery stores.

New house, no appliances, had pizza the night before? Chinese it is!…read more We've ordered take out twice now from House of Buddha and gone to dine in once and we've only lived in Georgetown for three weeks. Food is unreal here, the pan fried dumplings are out of this world delicious... we'll straight up be swayed to order Chinese just because of the dumplings. The dining experience carries the same quality - it's a nice restaurant with East Asian design elements incorporated with a westernized twist. Massive round tables encourage the sharing component that's often found in Asian cuisine. Portions are HUGE so keep this in mind, my partner and I have inadvertently ordered enough food to feed a small army. Only downside is the parking situation is a bit of a bummer given you're dependent on street parking lest you walk a few minutes from one of the few parking lots in downtown Georgetown.

The food is just as amazing as I remember. They have the best wonton soup that I've ever had. And the rest of the dishes taste excellent as well. The new layout of the restaurant appears to be much simpler and brighter than the previous decor and the fish are gone sadly. There is a smell that hits you once you walk in. Until the smell is fixed I recommend getting takeout or delivery.
