I was hesitant to book a trip in hot weather, but the forest trail was shaded and much cooler than I expected. Joyce even provided a short history lesson about past activity in the area (I won't ruin the surprise). Joyce will stay in contact with you throughout the booking and reservation process. She is enthusiastic in sharing her knowledge of horses, making the ride even more enjoyable. Her horses are beautiful and friendly. We LOVED our trail ride with Joyce and Donald. They were both so nice, knowledgeable and friendly. We felt very comfortable with them immediately. The horses were AMAZING! They were so calm and tame, it's obvious that they are well cared for and enjoy taking people for rides. My son had never riden a horse and my husband had only one time, these horses were perfect for the first time rider as well as the experienced rider. Joyce led us through a beautiful state park with great trails, she took photos and videos of us and made it the most amazing day ever. I can't say enough good things about Joyce and her crew. I had a large request to fit in 9 people for a birthday and with Joyce's communication it all went off without a hitch and I was able to give my mom the BEST birthday that we will always remember. All but 2 people in my group were very beginner with our horseback riding experiences and we felt completely comfortable with the expertise level of the guides and the personalities of the horses. It was mine and my girlfriend's first time riding horses. So I wanted to surprise her with a horseback ride. Well what can I say we had such an amazing time. The horses are so well mannered and the Lady Choyce is such an amazing lady to ride with. It was such an honor to be riding with her and her babies. Took my daughter on a trail ride for her 11th birthday and I could not be more satisfied!! Joyce even made a sweet bday video and sent it to us the same night! I can't even imagine how hard she works daily and she still went that extra mile to take pics, videos and was so informative throughout the entire day and all the days before our trail ride. The wrangler was nice and informative. Even though it was a cold and windy day, we had a good time on the horses. The path was great, lots of forest and wildlife plus the horses followed directions very good. The only thing was how quiet the wrangler was and how my girlfriend was extremely uncomfortable in the saddle. We had to cut the trip in half because she couldn't get used to the saddle. Overall it felt like a safe experience, and with a few adjustments we'd go back for another ride on a warmer day. read more

I don't even know where to begin to say how much I love this place the horses all have great temperaments! I chose a half day ride and I can't wait to do a full day ride. I am going to use them as much as I can. There are lots of places to explore in this beautiful place and the owner knows quite a few of them. Worth every penny. Highly recommended!!! if you are an experienced rider or beginner she has a horse for you. we had a person in our group who was scared of horses his entire life, he got paired with a great horse that help build his confidence, by the end of Our ride you would have never guessed he Had never been on a horse before. I cannot rave enough about my experience! I contacted Joyce last minute when my other trail ride failed. She fit me in right away and the next day I was on a gorgeous trail on a great horse with a awesome guide. I've done plenty of trail rides and this is not that! So much more than a basic trail ride and the horses are so cared for. Never have I ever seen two mares actually get along on the trail. Lol great horse woman and great customer service. We booked the trail riding experience to celebrate our 11 year old horse-lovers birthday and it was just what I was hoping it would be. We are all inexperienced beginner riders (one of us is afraid of horses lol) but our guide did a great job of teaching, helping and encouraging us the whole time. Excellent choice if you're looking for an adventurous trail ride! I let her know I had experience riding and she paired me with the perfect horse! I scoured local riding businesses hoping to avoid a nose to tail pony ride and I was not disappointed! We went off the beaten trail, loped through the fields and found hidden treasures from long ago! They replied back quickly to when you needed to book and was well organized company! The horses were amazing and in great shape. Our tour guide was very relaxed and made the experience so much better. He took us back into the trails of a nature preserve in plant city, let us brush the horses while saddling them up and made sure we were safe. We had a wonderful time trail riding on the horses! The 4 of us (2 children) are inexperienced riders but the pre-ride instructions and well trained horses made it very easy to catch on quickly. All 4 of our horses were perfect to suit our 2 hour ride through the park. The riding trails are absolutely beautiful and it give you a much different perspective of seeing the park via horseback. read more

Definitely not your average horse ride. We had a great time. We helped brush down the horses which I think helped the horses get to know us and we got comfortable with them before mounting. The trail we did was wonderfully varied with open fields, wooded areas, some water crossings and a bit of galloping which was really fun. We'll do again for sure. Thanks! read more
