I believe chow down employees have now saved the life of not one but two of my pups. Im thankful, grateful and blessed. I love supporting this business. The first time was being recommended to their cbd for seizures my beloved Courage was having it stopped them. Then when my Honey girl was having bloody poops i was recommended natur vet digestion it stopped the bleeding the very first dose. I will forever be thankful we have a chow down store in our town. read more

I live in AZ. But come to Montrose most summers. I love this little gem! The customer service goes above and beyond! They have a huge selection of merchandise. And are so helpful with guiding you to what is best for your pet. I went in yesterday to get some dog food and they were out of the size bag I needed. The person who helped me gave me some samples to get me through the next few days of my visit. I can't say enough good things about this place! Thank you, Chow Down! See you in a few months. read more

Chow down is definitely a place I visit almost every other week or more but they have amazing service -always asking if they can help and helping to bring stuff to the car. Tons of great options! If they don't have it ask and they can see if it's possible to bring it in- always on top of it! They also have a great rewards program so if you shop as much as I do definitely be sure to sign up! Lastly, let me not forget about the KITTEN room!!!!!! What Ana amazing way to spend some time or break petting cats that are looking to be adopted read more

I love the experience of Chow Down. I never had such helpful service people, before. Knowledgeable staff who found everything on my list for our Siberian Husky puppy. I was even offered a few suggestions. They really care about pet health at this store and even work with our local animal shelter for adoption events! Great place. read more

When I scheduled my dog for grooming with Haley, I asked her about her price for grooming. She told me $55-65 depending on the dog. I also told her that my dog, although small, is touchy about her feet. When I picked my dog up, she looked well groomed. When I went to pay for the grooming, I was told it was $70. I was very surprised at the fee. She is a small dog and grooming took less than 2 hours. I will not be using Haley again. read more

Super friendly staff that are knowledgeable and helpful! Stopped in while visiting a local and she brought us to this amazing pet store full of healthy pet food and safe toys. This place is amazing! The staff were very helpful! They took time to help me find some boots for my little dog, and find some new food (she's a picky eater). They even gave, yes GAVE, me two cans of food to try. I will definitely be shopping here for all my pet needs! read more

We needed to find a pet store while vacationing to get some CBD oil for our anxious pup. We looked for the nearest local business and found Chow Down, which we learned is family owned with a few store across the state. The staff person who helped us was exceptional, she was super knowledgeable and gave us some sample treats for us to try with our guy. The store itself is great, big space with all your dog (and cat) needs. Would definitely shop with them again. read more

Traveling through Montrose, this place was recommended as a great pet supply store. I am so glad I walked over! The service was outstanding and friendly. They have so many great foods and treats for dogs- all the healthy stuff! Tons of toys and other things. I mentioned that I was going to wash my dog that day and they said they currently had a coupon for a free dog wash and they set me up to use there's right on the spot! I'm not sure how long or how often they have that deal, but I was so delighted how that worked out. They also had a coupon for 10% off your first purchase. Highly recommended! read more

As a small business owner I love shopping and supporting small business. These guys are friendly, knowledgeable and super sweet with my pup who tends to be on the shy side. They are dog food knowledgeable and carry only the best. Coming from Colorado Springs I was worried I would have to shop at Petco for my pup's grain free food. Thank goodness for awesome places like Chow Down! read more

Best pet store in montrose. So nice knowledgeable and fun. all they need to do is carry artemis pet food dry and wet and we will be there all the time. Shop local! read more

The people overall in the store were actually really kind and helpful. My only reason for a poor review is because of their TERRIBLE groomer. I took my dog there because Pet-co was extremely booked and my dog needed a haircut soon so I decided to go with the groomer at Chow Down. After the haircut, when I went to pick up my dog, he looked terrified and on top of that, my dog's hair didn't even look evenly cut. The lady then tells me my dog had bit her which had NEVER been a problem at Pet-co but I apologized and paid the full amount anyways. A day or two later I noticed that my dog's genitals were extremely swollen and infected. I went to the vet and they told me that he had a severe bladder infection that was most likely caused by extreme amounts of stress or/and by being injured. I texted the groomer lady about it and she never replied. Definitely one of the worst grooming experiences I've ever had. I recommend just going somewhere more professional like Pet-co. read more

This day in age great customer service and super knowledgable staff is a rarity. The folks at chow down are insanely informed. If your dog has a condition they can pinpoint it and get you the food to address your dogs needs. The food is even cheaper than the big box pet stores. I've never seen a better pet store. read more

Wow, what can I say about this wonderful store. My pets and I loving going there and seeing all the wonderful product they have to offer. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. I have four dogs and one of them has a gluten allergy so they always help me find the grain free goodies. Another of my dogs has a pancreatic issue where he has a hard time gaining weight. They have helped me time and time again to look for foods and treats that are high in fat and protein to help him. They have given me free samples so I can decide what works best for his system. The customer service is honestly through the roof! read more

Great business!!! They stand behind their product !!! I bought a new frisbee for our Labrador that said "tough". Within 15 minutes she had chewed part of it off. They happily let me return for a different brand. Thanks Chow Down!! read more

I absolutely love this store. I never thought I would go to a separate place to get dog food but these people are wonderful. They have helped me find great food for my dogs that is healthy and delicious and we have also gotten my dogs' weight down a bit. They always have ideas if I have a health concern or need a special treat. The groomers are fantastic. Everyone in this store LOVES animals. The staff is over the top friendly and helpful. I won't buy dog food anywhere else. If you have not been into Chow Down and you love dogs or cats you owe yourself a visit to this store. They also have toys and pet accessories that are not available anywhere else. read more
