We had proof of registration and he still refused to let us collect our belongings. He refused to let the registered owner take her vehicle out on her own truck and trailer. Not only was he quick and helpful, he took our truck and us to a mechanic shop, McClains in Choteau. Said he would take us anywhere we wanted but he took all of his work to this shop. Then he offered to take us to a nearby hotel. Fast forward to Monday morning. The shop called, said they could fix the problem and would head into Tulsa to get the part and would have us back on the road late afternoon Monday. True to their word, they did and were reasonably priced. Monday evening, Holden called to check on us and make sure that we had been taken care of and asked if there was anything else we might need that he could help with. What service. Person answering the phone was rude and surly to me, my husband, and our insurance claims agent. Although we've never had an occasion to be in this situation (fortunately have never had a car stolen), our claims person deals with it every day, and she said these people are "extra special difficult".
