Came in to have my iPhone 5s screen replaced. Stood inside for 5 minutes without being greeted although no one was busy. Finally talked with an employee and gave them my phone and a contact number to call when the screen was fixed. Never received a call, so instead 4 hours later called the store only to find out my phone had been done for ~3 hours.
Finally, having received my phone with the replacement screen, I noticed that when wearing my polarized sunglasses (I work outside so I am always wearing them), the screen was completely blacked out when held upright but could be seen when held horizontally. This had never been an issue with my original screen.
Went back in to resolve the new issue, and was met with the same indifferent customer service (no one even looked at my this time as I entered the store). Showed the service tech the screen blackout with the polarized lenses, and informed her that the screen froze up whenever moisture was on my fingers or the screen, or if any debris was on the screen. She was indignant that the screen was the best they could do but "would put on a different screen to see if it works better." Left my phone there for an hour and came back (didn't even expect a call). The new screen worked just like the OEM screen. Something shady going on trying to pawn off a cheaper screen while still charging for high-end screen price ($100 total)???
One saving grace: they have a 30-day warranty on screen replacement, ya know, in case you notice the screen they put on is cheap knock-off... read more
