That made me wonder why this isn't an option at the 125th Street location. We shouldn't have to buy 4 muffins when we only want 1 or 2. Clearly the downtown locations understand this, since many flavors are available as singles or in 2-packs. I know some muffins uptown can be bought one at a time, but a lot of the best flavors can't. Downtown, most flavors were available as singles or in packs of 2. Please give uptown customers the same choices. Thank you.

This week i was shopping for chicken thighs i usualy buy a name brand but there was none i had to buy the 365 brand. Upon opening the chicken the color was off very dry i did not have the energy to return it so i proceeded with my recipe. The results were terrible The chicken was dry and stringy. I will always stick to the name brand . The other failure is the rotisserie chicken in the past 3 weeks both chickens were undercooked. I bought one today and i will bring it back tomorrow. Ive had a working theory that anything on sale there is nasty so i avoid them.

Since I happened to be in East River Plaza, I checked out the Aldi located there. Mixed impression: lines were super long, with no self check-out. I guess this curbs thievery. The store was messy -- not as bright and light as other Aldis. While I noticed what appeared to be guards up front, I saw nobody tending the floor. On the plus side -- this store stocks everything I buy at their other locations: produce, garlic-stuffed olives, tenderloin, frozen vegetables... and their prices are comparable. I'll likely come back, but reliant on public transportation, I'll need someone to help me schlep home my purchases. It's not worth waiting on a long line when I'm limited with what I can buy. Sometimes a couple of dollars saved isn't worth the hassle, and there go my savings if I take a cab!

Unbeknownst to me, while I was squeezing tomatoes, she asked two people where it was! They gave her strange looks and said that they didn't know. OMG, lol. The correct name is "Aldi Finds" :D We found the aisle, and managed not to buy any gnomes because they were mostly orange, and neither of us likes the color. We did get a few groceries. Aldi really has great prices! While the stores are never particularly attractive, in terms of aesthetics, the groceries and fun stuff render that irrelevant. Cold cuts, for example, are MUCH cheaper than at local UES stores. They're prepackaged, not sliced to order, but I didn't care. There's a good selection of cheese and ice cream. We didn't get much because we had to lug everything on the bus. The disadvantage for us is that it is pretty far uptown. But with Costco and Marshall's in the same building, it's one-stop shopping. Getting to and from the stores by bus is easy.

Was totally unfamiliar with the neighborhood, but needed food. And there was Pleasant Food! It's a small deli with a huge menu. I needed protein. They didn't appear to have any gluten-free options, but this was an emergency. So I ordered two chicken gyro wraps. They took a while to prepare from scratch, so I ended up canceling my appointment :( But my wrap was delicious! The second one is for lunch tomorrow, but I may throw out the wrap, and just eat the filling. Service was friendly and cheerful. It's a small, clean, bright space. There's a tiny discount for cash. Very happy to have found this place! Sandwich and menu selections are great! Do wish they had gluten-free bread/wrap options, but oh well.
