He greeted us and said some new additions to the menu then took our drink order. Which gave us time to look over the menu and choose our steak option. My wife and I both had a 10 ounce filet mignon, hers a medium and mine a rare. Unfortunately upon arrival to our table the kitchen staff mixed up our steaks. She got the rare and I got the medium. By half way through we switched steaks so she could enjoy her meal better. Probably a common mistake since it was fairly busy in the restaurant. Food was exceptional for flavor as always and we will have to pop in again for a steak redemption meal. This time, hopefully the steaks come out correctly.

So glad to find a restaurant that takes gluten/other allergies and sensitivities seriously !!!…read moreI was driving into Edmonton was craving a steak but needed it to be takeout. I mentioned my allergies and sensitivities and the manager was so diligent that she looked up ingredients to make sure I would be okay. I ordered a side of bearnaise sauce which we determined I may have issue with but I still ordered it. A little while later someone called me again to make sure I was aware of the allergen and wanted to confirm I still wanted it. I had to make sure I left a review because I was truly touched by the care and concern the staff at the Keg had for my wellbeing. Also, I ordered at a busy time! The steak was absolutely fabulous and I hope to visit for dine-in my next visit.

The food and drinks are also great and we always look forward to the seasonal items which happened to be lobster this time. The food is always amazing. I ordered steak bites and crab cakes. Both are really delicious. Always a great food and a experience, top to bottom. I will return, hungry for more

We had the duck with risotto, truffle fries, pan seared salmon, and the homemade mac & cheese with chicken breast. All were excellent. Our server recommended a couples drink combo which consisted of the following: For him - Maple Old Fashioned: Bearface Triple Oak Canadian whisky, maple syrup, and Angostura bitters. For her - A savory-sweet mix of Ojo de Tigre Mezcal, passion fruit liqueur, blood orange syrup, lime juice, and a black salt rim. It was awesome. The hotel had an amazing gym facility and pool. I easily spent two hours in the gym as there was a variety of activities. Also, the decor was absolutely divine. Gorgeous lighting, and panelling throughout with a big open kitchen where you can see the magic happen. We would definitely stay the night again!

The Keg has for a long time been a favourite spot of mine to go for a great meal and steak, and…read moreenjoy high quality food and service. First opened in 1971 in North Vancouver, BC, it changed ownership a few times over the years, now being a Canadian owned restaurant chain across Canada and the US. The Keg is a high end steakhouse with all kinds of cuts when it comes to beef, aged and seasoned to definitely enhance the experience of steak eating. My ultimate meal preference at the Keg starts with a delicious Caesar salad and the baseball top sirloin cut, with sides of steak fries and vegetables. This is one of many beef cuts at the restaurant, but you can also find a wide diversity of appetizers, steak cuts, chicken, fish and seafood and sides. The Keg also has a full alcohol menu - beers, wine and cocktails. Let's not forget amazing desserts too - many times I am too full to get a plate of dessert though!!! I have been to a number of locations where the restaurant is modern - but for the seasoned and regular Keg customer, one would know that many restaurants are located in old renovated buildings. Whichever location you visit, the ambiance at any location is an experience in itself. As an high end restaurant, it is definitely a fancy dining experience. The serving staff is very friendly and professional, and service you get is great, fast and excellent. They can answer any questions you have and make suggestions when needed. Finally, the Keg is a great place to celebrate a birthday, an anniversary, a date or any other reason you may have, and a meal experience you will not forget !!

However, if you have any issues with a shrimp, they will replace the whole thing for you. Now that's customer service! Have never had an issue that they haven't dealt with in a calm, professional, friendly, respectful, and customer satisfactory way. Five stars.

We got seated at our table and then we waited...and waited...and waited... So the manager came by and asked us if we need anything and I replied, "Yeah a server." Apparently there was a mix up with communication and whose table was whose. It is gorgeous inside. Very sexy. Plush benches, silver tones, and blue lights. This would be a great place to be seen after a hockey game or something. Finally with our fixed menu in hand and some water. The manager asked us if we would like the wine paring for no extra charge. What a fabulous gift! We started out with the black truffle and brie aranchini. This is super rich and flavourful. Great texture on the outside and creamy goodness on the inside. My husband and I got one of each of the salads - Wedge and Ceasar. The portions were massive, so I am glad I got the wedge. I could pack it up and it was fresh and crisp the next day. Dressings on both of them were excellent I got the black sesame ahi tuna and my husband got the petite filet. Both were excellent but if I wanted to finish dessert I would have to get this packed for home. Finaly onto dessert my husband got the chocolate peanut butter bar, while I went with the strawberry pavlova. Both were fine, but the peanut butter bar was super rich. The wine pairings were excellent. Great place, even better when you have a super deal.

If you like your meat charred, your butter tasting of blue cheese, your potatoes full of cheese and…read moregarlic and your asparagus tasting of overwhelming tarragon, you might like this place. It was a bit too much for me, but we can't all like the same things. I think the staff might have recommended we not order two mashed potatoes, but otherwise service was sufficient and relatively attentive. Attention was given to my gf dietary needs, but no attempt at a gluten free bread was made, as has been done a similar high end establishments. Our waitress nearly gave our meal to another table, but fortunately was intercepted by another server. We arrived at 5:30 and got our meals at about 7:00. The ambiance was reminiscent of a high end pizza place- large marble topped tables to shout across. My lamb was a bit under done, but that was okay since I had allowed for that. I've had better lamb in my own home, but I admit I'm not a fan of char as the main flavour. It was very attractively plated and I liked most of the vegetables that shared the plate, excepting perhaps, one or two pieces of bitter greens. My two companions enjoyed their meals, both having ordered filet. The three of us wound up spending about $300.00, tip included.

This time we shared two cuts of steak, asparagus and pasta in addition to ordering a few happy hour items. Service was fantastic. There were a number of staff checking in on us throughout our meal. They have always been consistently good with their service as I have also dined at their Burnaby and Langley locations. I am surprised this location was not as busy. However, service was still excellent.

This was my first visit to this Atlas Steak + fish location, but I've to the location in Kamloops…read morebefore, and that was a good experience. This visit was not. It was Mother's Day, but we had a reservation for an early dinner. We arrived on time, but despite having a reservation, we still had to 5-10 min for a table to be cleared and ready. From what I could tell, the restaurant was only half full, but not fully staffed. Much like the location in Kamloops, this look like a high-end steakhouse. The kids were impressed with mist covered entrance. Once seated we got our menus. It took a while for our server to come by, but as mentioned, they looked understaffed. The first thing she asked is if we want sparkling or still water. We chose still, only realizing later it was Evian water, not tap water. This was a common practice in fine dining restaurants decades ago, but I think the industry realized that it made feel customers cheated and so I haven't seen this for awhile. I feel it's the roughly the equivalent of being asked to tip for everything now - customers are feeling bad being forced to say no, and feels like a poor business practice. After taking our orders, we were served the complimentary bread. It looked good, but the moment I started to tear it apart, I could immediately tell it was not fresh. The outside was a hard dried-out shell, and the inside was barely warm - like it was sitting under a hot lamp for too long. The kids at the table also mentioned that it's not as good as they remember. We mentioned it to the server, and she thanked us for the feedback. I tried the following: - Prime Rib - Mixed review. The prime rib itself was good. I asked for medium rare, and that's exactly what I got. But It wasn't freshly carved, so it was luke-warm at best. Yorkshire pudding was hard and cold. The potato and kale/spinach pure were fine. The red wine jus had completely congealed. I forgot what it was, so when the plate was placed in front of me, it look like BBQ sauce, and not red wine jus. - New York Striploin - Not good. We asked for medium rare. It was clearly medium - and ended up dried out. I informed the server, and she was willing to replace, but I also encourage my family not to waste food, so we kept it, even if not at it's best. - Truffle & Parmesan Fries - Good. Very large portion size, so couldn't finish it. Service was spotty. Server was nice enough, but just didn't really have the tools or energy to help us with our problems. When we complained about the striploin, she did offer free dessert, but it was a big steak, and we were too full to take it. So what does that mean? I had to pay for still water, cold bread, cold prime rib, overcooked sirloin - at full price. I admit that the overcooked sirloin could have been fixed with a replacement and/or free dessert, but I don't think it would've made up for the entire visit. A place like Atlas aims to provide an ultimate dining experience, and once a mistake is made, it's an uphill battle to recover, and it certainly didn't here. I would have doubts coming back to this location, and possibly other locations too.
