We got a little confused first since our navigation brought us to the resort parking. Not sure if you can park there. The hiking from the parking lot is a nice warm up. We walked behind some apartments which was weird, but once we got to the trailhead the scenery was amazing! Many butterflies on the trail! We started our hike at 7:30am and walked for four hours RT. Not sure how far we hiked, but with only our running shoes we were able to make a great distance. Be careful...lots of walking over and on rocks...also had to cross the little streams a couple times. Also, there could be trails that look like trails but end up being a dead end. We didn't know at the time but we took a wrong turn and started scaling the side of the canyon. It felt too dangerous so I suggested we turn back. After about a 30 mins detour, we found the actual trail. I found piles of rocks i think someone left behind to show other hikers the way. Follow the rocks... People were so nice and helpful on the trail. We will definitely come back again in the future with the right gear and hopefully get to The Window. If you are one that loves a challenge, I recommend this hike.

After that you…read morestart to climb and about 0.5 to 0.75 of a mile after that it really starts to get steep as you switchback up the canyon walls to get to a first ridge. At that 0.75 mile point the trail is starting to get more poorly marked as well as we assume a lot of folks turn around near there and don't go all the way up. It's a decent spot to stop at, there is a small area with flat boulders you can sit on and catch a good view of the canyon to the south. There is no water, restrooms or rest area so come ready to hike and leave plenty of water in your car for your return.

If your one who likes to bundle up with a cup of hot coco and just admire the lights and get that crisp cool weather feeling then take the hay ride if you like to listen to Christmas music and admire the lights then drive through! If you love taking pictures in front of the lights and houses then walking through is your best bet for great pictures up close!

Worth every minute that we were able to walk around the open areas. Saw no wildlife but plenty of footprints and scat. Will be back to be able to access more areas in the future.

We stopped first at the visitors' center. We had a park pass, but otherwise here was where we'd have paid our fee. We checked in with the help desk to ask about short hikes. I admire the rangers for probably answering the same question a hundred times a day, 5 days a week. There is a loop road within a mile or two of the VC. It is unpaved, but it has 2 nice short hikes along the way. However, you should note: while 80% of the loop is 2-way traffic, the other 20% is NOT! Hence, unless you want to do more than a single pass around the loop, you should enter at the end nearest the VC and proceed CCW around the loop to the other end. We did 2 hikes here. The Signal Hill trail is on the side of the loop furthest from the VC. The Valley View trail is on the leg closer to the VC (but after the point where the road becomes 1-way). The Signal Hill trail is short. It descends from the parking lot down to a wash and then up around a hill. At the base you can see some rocks displaying petroglyphs. When you get to the top, you are quite close to several rocks with large carvings (spiral circles, etc.). There was adequate parking divided into a lower and upper lot. It may get crowded at other times, but when we visited (early) there were spots available. The Valley View trail is a bit longer but is mostly level. It winds through cactuses for a while until it ends at a point which overlooks the land to the west. You get a huge vista from this point, though on the day we went there was a lot of dust in the air which cut down on the view. Parking here was limited, but people just parked along the (1-way) road after the lot filled up. That could add a bit of extra hiking. Neither of these hikes is that strenuous. We spent a bit over 2 hours here, but it would have been a bit shorter if we'd started the loop at the correct end.

Live close to downtown or on the west side? The David Yetman Trail in Tucson Mountain Park is in…read moreyour back yard. Yetman has two trailheads and may be hiked one-way, but my partner and I prefer a 1-mile round-trip from the west trailhead to Golden Gate Mountain and back. It's perfect for a quick hike with great views. From the parking lot just west of Gates Pass, climb through classic Sonoran Desert terrain with Golden Gate Mountain to your right and Bren Peak to the left. Both mountains have additional trails for you to explore. We use one of the unnamed trails on Bren that parallels Yetman to make our way back to the parking lot. The trails have plenty of loose rock, so you may want to bring your hiking poles.

I cannot believe living in Tucson and making my first trip to Pima Canyon Trail! This is honestly…read moremy favorite hiking trail I have been on in Tucson. I love that it is easy to get to and that the trail head is immediately off of the parking lot. It is enjoyable for most activity levels. After about a mile or two, some may want to turn around because it gets to being a moderate hike. One way according to the map is about 6.2 miles. My husband and I turned at about 3 miles doing out and back totaling 6 miles. I would love to come back with more provisions and do the whole trail. Before you get to halfway, there are some beautiful streams and an area with water, grass, and cottonwoods. You feel like you have completely escaped Tucson. The views on the entire hike are wonderful. If only I could ever dream to afford any of the beautiful houses near there. What a bonus to be able to see some really beautiful homes! A must try hike!

The canyon is half of the best challenging loop hike in Tucson: up Pima Canyon, down Finger Rock (or vice versa). You better be in shape for this one. Pima Canyon boasts some of the best (free) access of the Catalina trailheads. You can get there by going east on Magee from Oracle Rd, or north from Sunrise/Ina. This makes it easier to get to for us Oro Valley dwellers. This trail is *very* popular. Despite the generous parking lot it can get filled by 9AM forcing you to park on the road, so get there early.

It often felt like we were bumping into walls or each other, which made it hard to enjoy the session. I took a Mat Pilates class, and it was much hotter than I expected. I understand the studio also offers hot yoga, but I wasn't expecting that level of heat for Pilates. I'd suggest either limiting class sizes or making it clearer which classes are heated. It's affordable, which is a plus, but I'm not sure I'd return.

At the front desk you can scan code for FREE parking . It's not a quick process , so come EARLY. Most spin studios in town use stages bikes but this studio has true Kaiser cycling bikes with universal pedals , cycle shoe clip ins on one side and sneakers will fit into the other side . Kaiser bikes are known for being tough to adjust sometimes but they're a smooth ride . DROP IN - $21 , not bad for a fuss free drop in. Overall- the class I took overall was a bit mellow to be my vibe at 7am , I do prefer a drill sergeant ready to party on a bike in the morning . However this instructor was sweet and helpful . The studio is a lofty speakeasy vibe and I love the lighting . Sound and microphone were on point . Would I come back - ABSOLUTELY
