I have suffered the misfortune of having to see other dentists when I've needed an appointment urgently and Dr Nguyen hasn't been available, and every time I have gone to see one of these inferior cretins I have paid for it in spades. I have never been to a dentist who was anywhere near as gentle, skilful or professional as Dr Nguyen is. He is also super nice and never charges me the gap because I have been going to see him for something like ten or eleven years now. I once told my boyfriend that if Dr Nguyen were to ever relocate his practice, I would follow him anywhere. My boyfriend asked me, 'What if he relocated to Vietnam?' I paused to think about this and then told him I would probs have to take a biannual trip to Vietnam. I was only half joking.

In reality what this means is I need double the amount of a normal person. I have read that it's a ginger thing but that claim is still being debated among the medical community. One thing is for certain, for a dentist who practices pain-free dentistry it is mildly vexing. Dr D'Netto is that pain free dentist and he is very good at his job. Throughout procedures he carefully explains what he is doing and what you can expect to experience so you don't freak out and his great aftercare advice that no one ever follows is very sensible. He doesn't get on your case about not flossing enough either. His hours are convenient - he sees the last patient about 6pm on weeknights and works alternate Saturdays. His prices are reasonable (I never pay more than about $30 after health care rebate). Dr D'Netto is somewhat local to me but even when I have lived out of the area I still come all the way. It's rare to find a great dentist and Dr D is a great dentist.

Have I died and gone to dentist heaven? Because this place is EVERYTHING a dentist, could, would,…read moreand should be. It was like a day spa and boot camp for my teeth. Let me start at the beginning (it's a very good place to start, if The Sound Of Music taught me anything through song, which it did). I got a pink flyer in the mail saying 20% off dental treatments, and no gap payments (health funds accepted). I thought, Ben ol' son, that sounds like a great deal. So I made a booking. I forgot the postcard, but they gave me the 20% off anyway. Legends! Dr Courtney was uhhhh-mazing. Wonderful patient manner, she explained everything, was gentle, informative and is pretty much my new BFF. They have the very latest equipment, including an awesome TV screen with undersea scenes on to distract you from whatever you're having done. They also take photos of your teeth and put them on the TV for you to look at to explain what's going on. Long story short, I'm a grinder and need to get a mouthguard. Curse you, teefs!
