I learned the hard way that I was having a tough time with the transition and I am so thankful for the staff at Tutor Time for helping us through this. Staff comforted our son and made his transition to daycare so great that some days he doesn't want to leave. The staff are so willing to talk about anything and adjust to what we do at home which is helpful. If there is an issue Ashley or the teachers will answer them and fix what they can. I love the cameras in class where I can pop in and see our son happy, learning and loving daycare. The app they use is so nice to message staff, see pictures, updates, etc. The staff all know who the kids are, interact with us and the kids when they are coming and going and make you feel welcome. The director actually helps in classrooms and loves it, unlike other daycares where they don't know the kids or the classes. Our son has learned so much at daycare and we couldn't be more thankful to Tutor Time. They have events to interact with staff, see updates on your child's progress and interact with other parents and kids. I highly recommend sending your kids here!

I don't pay my daughter to watch herself. The fact this statement was said is ridiculous. I have tried calling the school several times and so has the customer service number and no one could reach them so I had to leave my job to go up there. Ty heir communication is horrible, I had to take my daughter to the hospital due to pain from being kicked in the back and in the head and this was not the first incident of her being physically harmed. I had to force them to write incident reports. Tools me that if they had to stop to write incidents reports they would need to hire a new person for that. My daughter has been hit in her head repeatedly, a child has dug their nails in to her arm because she didn't want to play with them and again no call or incident was reported. Then I was told the only way an incident is written up is if the child is physically damaged (bleeding or bruised) and the only thing that was communicated was she was accidentally scratched which was a lie. I have taken photos, proof, etc... of this negligence and will be reporting this.

For a center that advertises working with each child based on their unique needs and welcoming communication with parents... They fell way short. Red flags started during the paperwork process: contracts stated different things than what they told us. This included a much higher daycare price and a large yearly fee they never told us about. No explanation was given for major inconsistencies. Our toddler had a hard time transitioning into this daycare, struggled more than other kids. Her demeanor changed drastically within days, and it concerned us. On day two, they shared that their strategies did not work on her. They had no other plans to support her. They asked us to pick her up hours early daily due to her crying. We agreed to do so. We never got access to teachers so we cannot speak about the teachers. Only access to the daycare head. We had to repeatedly, kindly ask for school info they sent other parents and didn't send us. We tried to ease our toddler's transition from home, wanted to help her understand what was happening and who her teachers are but couldn't because we didn't have basic info, not even teacher names. They eventually sent us some (not all) of the info, but seemed inconvenienced. We worked with what we had. They did not seem interested in learning much about our kiddo or taking a unique child-centered approach. They did a cry it out method, leaving her to stand alone at the door for hours by herself. Our child became somber and looked defeated. It broke our hearts. Getting dressed in the morning resulted in panic and crying. She became terrified of leaving the house, even to play. This was not normal. On Friday morning, I informed the school we would be a little late because she was having another tough morning. They did not care and would not take her after the 9:00am exact cut off. I found this to be unreasonable when they knew she was struggling and asked us to accommodate them picking up hours early daily. But they wouldn't accommodate even being minutes late. Corporate rules came before child needs. I messaged them that I was losing trust in their willingness to work with us to help my struggling child. The lead of the center called and claimed I called her and her staff "not human". The texts show that never happened. It was about having a human-centered, child-centered approach to my child, but she made it about herself. The conversation was not child-focused at all. She spoke down to us: accused me of expecting her to tend to me all day every day. Accused our family of expecting special treatment. Said she didn't have time for basic admin tasks even though that's her job. Gaslighted me: said she sent teacher names in the welcome packet. Acted like I was overly demanding for wanting info. We checked our emails, we never got a welcome packet. We were just a family new to daycare with a struggling child, wanting to know who her teachers were and other basic info, wanting to support our kiddo. It wasn't an unreasonable ask. It was info they already sent other parents but resisted sending us. She painted us as a demanding, difficult family instead. Our child did nothing wrong but the daycare lead suggested that we withdraw her. We took her up on this offer.  Our parent friends were shocked hearing our experience, never saw this in their daycares. A child social worker expert & friend said my child's reaction was concerning and should have been taken more seriously by the daycare. Don't know if they are understaffed or mismanaged. Don't know if she treats other families this way or if she just had something against us. She didn't even know us. We left after the first week. Though they did not care how this affected our child, we do. She has trauma-like symptoms now. We are undoing the harm with intention and care, she is slowly thriving again. We wish we paid attention to the red flags in the beginning. Stay away from here if you want a child-centered, family-friendly, compassionate, culturally-competent, noncorporate experience.

He started in infant and moved up to toddler. Pros: - Wonderful teachers. Most have degrees, and all of them clearly love children. They seem happy as employees, which is great. - Director on site is the owner. You can tell she really cares about her staff, the kids, and the families. She's extremely accommodating - we changed our schedules multiple times and she was able to help us each time. - Easily the cleanest, most updated site that we visited. - Our son loved it there! - They are great at transitioning children out of the infant room to toddler room to make the kids feel really comfortable. - Great communication with parents: they send multiple photos a day through e-mail, and keep great records of what went on each day with your child. They let you know when he hits milestones and is progressing with new skills. - Great outdoor area - Fun events (bouncy house, fire trucks coming on site, etc) - The hours are great, and extend until 6pm. - Automatic tuition withdraw is a nice option Cons: - Cost. We toured a few places, and it was the most expensive in the area, and included the least amount of "extras." - you have to bring your own bibs, sippy cups, and breakfast. For the price of tuition, I was always frustrated that I had so much work to do to get him ready for daycare in the morning. - constant messy clothes. I wish they'd invest in better art bibs/smocks, and I wish they'd provide bibs for meal time. If i forgot to send one, I knew for sure he would come home in a new outfit. - Food costs extra (about $60/month for two snacks and lunch each day) and doesn't include breakfast. - Some of the food was unimpressive at times (bread and butter for snack?), not organic, lots of breaded chicken dishes, etc Overall: the price was worth it for us, especially when he was an infant. We were really confident in the care he got, and he learned so much. We loved all of the art projects he brought home, and the communication they had with families.

The teachers here - and owner Erin! - are absolutely the warmest, kindest, and most genuine people. I'm constantly amazed at the creativity they put into each day for the kids: from building forts, to the dramatic play station, to themed crafts and working on letters and counting, they do such a wonderful job at providing an environment that is fun and safe. And the ratios! You truly can't beat them. The fact that there are only 3 (!) babies in their infant room and 4 toddlers in each group (younger and older) is something you just don't see anywhere else. I also love the parents here, several of whom have become "real life" friends! It seemed to be fate that there happened to be an opening that came up when my daughter turned two and a half, just in time to start the preschool program. The philosophy and teaching methods that this school bases itself upon are far superior from absolutely every other preschool that we looked in to. The staff consistently maintains an overall higher level of expectation for these kids. Which was so impressive to me because at such an impressionable age these young kids are being held accountable for themselves. They take such pride in the work that they accomplish either by themselves or in a group. They are respectful of not only the boundaries of their peers, but more importantly of themselves. As a result they are rewarded by having more freedom in their choices. From science lessons, to music class, yoga, art classes, dramatic play (my daughters fave!), weekly sharing day, to hearing what creative game they made up that day while playing outside. The amazing staff, conferences & daily progress reports, the ever so anticipated Halloween party, and sincerely wonderful families and parents, I could go on forever. Overall the three years at The Little School was a tremendously positive experience for our whole family. We now have a first grader who is reading at a fourth grade level with impressive comprehension skills. As well as going above and beyond her schools curriculum in math and science. I'm so proud of her, and I attribute so much of her early successes to her time at The Little School.
