If you are taking the time to read this review, then you are more than likely in the same stressful…read moreand terrifying situation I was in. The stressful nights just laying there with your mind on overdrive, anxiety fueling every waking thought, more outgoing than incoming, and unrealistic expectations from creditors finally pushed me to decide to protect my family and financial future. I must have called between 10-15 different attorneys not having the slightest idea of what the best choice for my situation would be. David was not the first call, was not the last call, he was the only one that I called back! Each attorney had their own pitch or their own pressure to what they feel would be best, but David was different. The patience, knowledge, active listening, and genuine compassion to hear my whole story from start to finish the good the bad and the ugly. David laid out the options available to me and how the possible effects of each choice could be in the present, the future, and unforeseen situations he has experienced with earlier clients. At this point I knew that I was making the right choice and the entire process from start to finish went through just as he said it would. I was even surprised to hear back from David after the process was over providing just a follow up call and email assuring that everything was complete and if I had any last questions or concerns. If you are facing the same situation and looking for the right attorney and staff that you can trust, please believe me David and his team is the way to go. I am more than satisfied with how everything turned out and glad I made the right decision.

This was a stressful and overwhelming experience, and your guidance made such a big difference. You took the time to explain things in a way I could understand, and you always made sure I felt supported and informed. I'm especially grateful for your honesty and your care in helping me figure out which medical tests were actually necessary. That guidance saved us money and helped me avoid a lot of unnecessary stress. I also appreciate that you stood firm and rejected the insurance company's first offer. Even though the final amount wasn't exactly what we hoped for, it was still a much better and fairer outcome because you fought for me. I also want to thank Susan. She was always patient, organized, and quick to help whenever I had questions. Her kindness and responsiveness meant a lot. If you know any employment attorneys you would recommend for a separate workplace issue, I would really appreciate a referral. Thank you again for everything you've done. Your support truly meant a lot to me, and I'm very grateful.

From our initial consultation, it was evident that Laura is a consummate professional and an expert in her field. Her team consistently and promptly responded to my inquiries, helping me stay calm and focused through the personal ups and downs of the process. Handling an emotional situation with the utmost precision and a level of care is crucial, especially in a case like mine, which involved 10 beneficiaries spread across different states, and the liquidation of real estate and assets. As I don't reside in CA it put me at ease knowing and was able to do all of this remotely with Laura and her team managing everything with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring all legal aspects were thoroughly addressed. My respect for this team is immense, as they kept the process streamlined and completed everything within a very reasonable timeline (about one year). They adeptly navigated some unusual Trust requests from my aunt and directed me to other highly qualified professionals for real estate sales and Trust taxes. While I hope I won't need Estate Representation in California again, Velasco Law Group and Laura would be my first call if the need arises. If you're uncertain, take it from someone who has been through the process--they are experts and worth every penny. My sanity thanks them eternally.

He sided with my ex costing me a lot more than her. She made more money than me, but I had to give up part of my pension - I got nothing of her pension. It cost me $5000 to sell our RV. She got a new Honda CRV, I got a $6000 motorcycle. Our Timeshare was not properly identified (she didn't want it) and because of that I had trouble sorting out the deed. He nickle and dimed me if I looked cross eyed. I contacted Mr. Gilligan 6 years later asking if he could add 2 words to the judgement (identifying the Timeshare correctly). He asked why, I explained the situation then he offered to write a letter to my ex. (I didn't ask him to). He wrote it (didn't tell me he intended to charge me) then charged me $1352 for his time! I refused. He sent me late charges every 6 months. We finally went to mediation and I got it reduced by half. Not happy! Shouldn't have cost me anything! He gives lawyers a bad reputation!

Unlike other practices, he answered his own phone and calls you back like he says in a new york minute. He said he'd reviewed my case, and he really did on that same morning I called. He kindly advised me on my options and gave me courage like a big brother. He consoled me and gave me referrals, even offered to make calls for me. That short interaction gave me so much comfort and confidence, I felt like I could take a baby nap after. I will forever be grateful for his sage advice and compassion he's shown me, though it was unfortunate he couldn't represent me. He is a gem and a rare species in this rotten world we live in.
