Friendly while you are present, A very busy office, normally that would be positive, however recently I had a lot of pain as a result of a Root Canal that was older and had been crowned. I (had) been a customer for almost 10 years, I called for emergency X-Rays and was told that I should return to my dentist of 10 yrs prior to have them evaluate if their work was causing my pain. I said I was not a dentist, and I had no idea if there work had caused the headaches and pain and that I expected (when every possible) to attend my usual Dentist. I was told again that I should go back to a dentist of 10 yrs prior. Then I had remembered that on my most recent visit to the Cholakis office for a cleaning, that I was told that I would not recieve a check up from a dentist, as none were available. I didnt think much of it and was not charged for the check up. Once this came to mind I shared with the person to whom I was speaking, that I was worried that the pain may have been caught if I had received a proper check up on my last visit. I was put on hold... The next voice I heard said "you were transfered to 'me' what seems to be the problem!" I shared that there appeared to be 2, first, that I had been referred to my old dentist when I was a 10 yr customer, and was confused, and the second, that my face hurt. They set an appointment for the following week, it was explained to me that no one would ever tell me to go to my old dentist. I understand some of the confusion, it was likely that the rude person i first spoke to was under the impression that I had a recent Root Canal at another office and that i should approach them for warrantee work. I still cannot understand how after sharing that I had been a customer for 10 yrs, that this could have been the basis for the comments later denied. RECOMMENDATION: Avoid the place- It is A decent place, more expensive than average (they love to sell extras like braces and nightgaurds) They are not a bad office in person, often very friendly and accommodating. I very much like the staff I have met and dealt with in person. I think that it is rather unfortunate that there were some people that were very unfriendly and likely having a bad day. There are many other offices close by the Tuxedo Area, and if you MUST be somewhere pretentious there are other places that have the same status and better parking. They are a good dental practice, but there ought to be some sense of competition and fair treatment of customers rather than a "where else are you going to go" attitude in an area of town with fair incomes, and lots of options. -disappointing! read more

After being a patient for 15 years I thought that I was more than qualified to share my views with others. This office has provided me with excellent care. Comprised of dentists and specialists, I have pretty well met almost everyone there. The fact that they work well together as a team has enabled me to keep my teeth. They are humble despite their expertise. Almost every dentist in the group also teaches at the dental school. Two of them recently went to Uganda to treat children in an orphanage. The clinic is busy and sometimes they run late but aside from that I have found them to be friendly and helpful. Recently I saw Dr Cholakis for a dental implant. He and his team were tremendous. He even called me that night to see how I was doing. The staff are very friendly and professional. They deserve 5 stars and them some! read more
