When the plumber arrived, my wife showed him the faucet we wanted installed. He gave her an estimate of 1000.00 to install the faucet. Yes that is correct. Not a typo. 1000.00 to connect a faucet, no soldering, just unscrew the old faucet and screw on the new one. A 30-minute job at best. We were absolutely shocked at this STUPID bid. Well I guess you may be able to make some money on $96 trip calls... but trying to send a kid to college with every ridiculous overpriced fee? How can you even do this with a straight face? It's a major scam for rip off plumbers. If you are Rockefeller's you may not be bothered with asinine charges for an hour's worth of work. Don't bother with this company and hope there are plumbers out there who actually do work at acceptable prices for normal homeowners not millionaires.

He only paid $15,000.00 to the subcontractors and we are left with numerous mechanics liens and an unfinished garage, which we will have to hire someone to finish. All totaled we are out $50,000.00. The owner of this business has no assets in his name so you can't collect anything if he defaults on the contract!

They were rude, inappropriate and unprofessional the entire process. People should be aware of what we experienced with them, in their decision to hire a builder. I had a hard time getting them to work on my house the entire time. I was told by one of the bosses "I just want to get your house out of my hair". Nice service. When they handed over the house it was dirty, unfinished rooms, floors damaged, (from them leaving our doors open) which allowed people to use our house as a place to roller skate and skateboard. They left us with that damage. The doors were hung wrong, which causes dirt to blow into our house and is always on the floor. So we have to pay someone to rehang these doors. We also have and are hiring handyman companies to fix their shoddy work. They ask people to post them "5 star" reviews, but all I've heard is bad about this company. If they put as much effort into their customer service and the work they put into the houses they build, they probably wouldn't have to try so hard asking for the fake "5 star" reviews from people who aren't really their customers. Since moving in I've hired a personal home inspector. This inspector was amazed at the code violations and terrible work velocity homes left us with. He informed us that we have some real issues here. So, we have already paid around $50,000 to fix problems they left us with and we are still working on fixing other problems. The bank that velocity homes referred us to also told me negative things about them and that we aren't the only customers having problems with them. People beware of this builder. Building through velocity homes was an absolute nightmare and I would not refer them to anyone.
