I just left the salon and I couldn't wait longer to write my review. After going to two separate salons to get my haircut I finally found my spot. My hair had gone through a lot of damage from attempting to get a balayage done. My hair was fried, brittle and falling out. I had a haircut and they left it straight across my back with no shape whatsoever. I went to a second salon to color my hair back to a dark chocolate brown color and they cut my hair only to leave it uneven! Long parts on the back and short in others. Horrible. I finally found this location which was close by to where I was hunting for a new salon. And GUSTAVO did magic! He knew exactly what he was doing and I could tell right away. He was not scared to tug here and there and was handling my hair was such confidence. He wasn't afraid to get in there and even out the mess I walked in with. He layered my hair beautifully and didn't cut it any shorter than it already was. I initially dismissed the negative reviews as unfounded, but it turns out, they were accurate. After booking an appointment through Booksy for 1 PM, I arrived to find that my stylist only spoke Spanish. I was taken aback by the requirement to be bilingual as a client. Although another stylist offered to translate, I felt this would compromise the salon experience. Dr. Phillips is an affluent area of Orlando, and most residents speak English. Failing to accommodate English speakers is both disrespectful to the community and poor business practice. Fortunately, I was able to find another salon that offers services in English. read more

It has been quite a while since I have been in the salon. Let me tell you. This place is amazing. The vibe is family and caring. Attention to detail. They are honest as well. Wanted a certain style (like all women do) and they honestly told me that it would not be ideal for my hair texture, skin tone and etc. however they gave me alternatives that were similar to what I wanted and the end result was perfection. Wanting to please and they kept wanting to make sure every step of the way I was satisfied with the result. I'm a pretty laid back kind of girl so I like to be in that kind of environment. So if you are looking for an attention to detail honest kind of place with you as their number one priority then this is the place to be. My new home for my hair. Love it. read more

If you want to walk out with messed head go here, I was in rush and it was next to place I was eating so I went but what a mistake. Just by employees hair(burnt and falling out) I should have known. The other nail tech I see in the salon is Bee. From watching her over the years I am sure she could be paid the same compliments. I went to this salon today for the first time. I had the beautiful Sanmei Chen take care of me. To say I have difficult hair, would be an understatement. I came in with an idea and she was very honest which I appreciate. I hate it when you tell a stylist you want something and they're like yeah, yeah. When they know it can't be done with your texture, color, whatever. Then you leave dissatisfied. My cut caused her to be late for her next appointment. For that, I'm so sorry! So far, my review is great! I had my lip and eyebrows waxed by 'Be' and I'm telling you that I have not had my eyebrows serviced like that in YEARS. This is my new place! She cleaned them up by waxing them, then plucked what she needed to, then trimmed up some long pieces! Most places just wax and say goodbye. My mom also had her nails done by Lisa and said it was fantastic. My mom doesn't live here and was hesitant but still ended up getting a No Chip, Gel Fill In. Not sure when Brian went there and could get in "any time" but I tried to get in for a hair emergency, stood at the counter for a good ten minutes while one gal tasted on her phone and the other ignored me. Finally one of the stylists had to check out a client and asked me if I had been helped. Then she had to go out back (or maybe to Miami) to get the receptionist. Waited another ten minutes for her while she moseyed up front. Then asked me if I had an appointment. Well duh no but I wasted twenty minutes there already. Even tho the same stylist was still texting she had no time for me. Everyone had attitude and then some. HELLO have been treated with much more respect and attention walking into NYC salons without an appt. And yes did make one but never went back. Found a much more receptive shop across the street. Got my nails done here. Went in to have SNS powder put over my real nails. I finally had let my nails grow past end of finger tip. The technician didn't ask and immediately started clipping all my real nails off. She didn't speak any English. Was not happy with this because I can't have tips due to my job. And she just clipped all my REAL nails off that I had let grow. She tried to tell me that my nails are too short for tips. Which is NOT true. I have the powder put on a lot before in the last town I lived in. So, since she clipped all my nails I let her proceed forward with the tips and was gonna tell her to just file them all the way down to the ends of my fingers. Well she acted annoyed that I kept saying shorter. I honestly think she filed tip off. The powder was so thick that she had to use the drill to sand down SNS powder. When she did that she took off all the sparkle on SNS. Then she tried to make it better by putting a gel coat over the SNS powder. No fooling me! I've had SNS Nails before you don't do this! Very disappointed. Worst place I ever been. read more

I walked in. I asked for a trim and was quoted a price. It was suggested I get a blow dry and when I asked how much, I said never mind, just the trim. Gustavo took a lot of care with the trim, asking me what I wanted and making sure all along the way. He was much more ready to give me what I wanted than many others have been over the years. He asked if he could blow it dry a little to check the cut and reassured me it would not cost extra. He fussed over my hair until it was really lovely. I live very far away, but I will make sure I go there again the next time I'm in Orlando again. They feature Moroccan Oil products, and they don't push products at you.
