A gem in my home town that I was hoping to try last year but did not have the opportunity. This year, during my Thanksgiving visit, I felt sad of not celebrating this important holiday in the US. However, since I met a friend and then her sister and her gf tagged along and suggested to go to Choco Choquito...I renamed the night as a Friendsgiving by the sea (minus the water). Incredible seafood tapas, so so good that I did not want to leave. I could have devoured so many! I can't emphasize enough how good was that cod with romesco like sauce. And the little fish that comes in a piece of newspaper. Or the crispy calamari with lemony alioli sauce. Everything was so good!
This tapas restaurant is pretty unassuming from the outside, looks like no one is there...then the inside is elongated and has good capacity (better for parties of 2 people, though). We got lucky and found a table for 4. Great service, beautiful nautical decoration and fish looking super fresh from the display as well as on the table. A Thanksgiving night different but definitively unforgettable. read more
