I was referred to this practice from my dentist across the street for a root canal and so glad great referrals like him are out there. Today I had my root canal done, and I highly recommend seeing to Dr. Cho - you will not be disappointed. It's hard enough knowing you have to have a root canal so going to someone you trust is so important. Dr. Cho's bedside manners immediately put me at ease from his down-to-earth way of interacting with me while clearly being very knowledgable about the complexities of performing root canals. For me, this is the perfect balance I always hope to find in a provider - personable and professional, but sometimes easier said than done to find that perfect fit. During the root canal procedure, I was much calmer than I had expected. After ensuring I was fully anesthetized, he talked through every step of the procedure. His assistant, Cecelia, was fantastic too, and they are a great team as she is on standby for him during the entire procedure. Then tonight, he took the time to call me to check to see how I was feeling. Wow. I thought these 'after-procedure calls' typically happen after having major surgery so it just spoke to his attentiveness and care for his patients. No one likes a root canal, but Dr Cho made it as pleasant as possible. He explained every step of the procedure to me, so there were no surprises. He is exceptionally good with pain management; I basically felt nothing throughout the procedure, and didn't have any post-op pain whatsoever. He took great care in his work; this was a multi-day exercise with a lot of painstaking steps in it, and he was absolutely meticulous. Ok! Where to start! My previous endodontist (2 root canals) brought me to tears with his horrific shots. I For reference, I have NEVER cried over shots before and I have had a lot!!! Root canals are no party to say the least. I can't tell you guys how relieved I am that I was referred to Dr. Cho for my first one. The man is incredibly intelligent, knowledgeable, and thorough in his work. He explained everything he was doing in great detail, and would constantly check in with me to ensure I was comfortable. All of his team are great as well. Robyn was the one assisting him, and she would put her hand on my shoulder when I was experiencing drilling, or anything potentially uncomfortable (it never was by the way). Dr. Cho has an excellent bedside manner and takes the time to explain the problem and solution to his patients before performing any procedures. If there are three treatment options, he will explain all options by giving the pros and cons of each, as well as his professional opinion to help the patient come to an informed decision for the treatment of their teeth. If any problems arise during treatment, Dr. Cho is always sure to let the patient know, so there is never a time when you don't know what's going on. I found that very comforting. Robyn and Courtney, Dr. Cho's dental assistants are both very sweet. They do everything that they can to ensure that you are comfortable while in their and Dr. Cho's care. During any breaks, Robyn and Courtney always ask if you're doing OK or feeling any pain. And before leaving, Robyn asked me 2-3 times to make sure I had extra Tylenol/Advil packets so I wouldn't be in pain later. The front office staff are nice and courteous, and wear color coordinated shirts according to the day of the week. They try to accommodate your schedule as much as possible; For example, Rhonda knew that I needed treatment completed before a certain date and held a spot that had opened up to see if I wanted it before scheduling another patient. I've only called the office a few times, but have never been put on hold to speak with someone. The interior of the office is a bit dated and small, but I'd rather have competent care in a small dental treatment room than a fancy dental office with mediocre care. I trust Dr. Cho's experience and expertise and feel well taken care of by him and his when leaving the office. read more

Dr. Cho and his assistants are excellent! I highly recommend him to anyone who needs dental procedure. I recently got a root canal treatment from him and his team. I got the best possible treatment. Dr. Cho took time to explain all the options to me with pros and cons of each option. Right from start I felt being in good hands. He is very knowledgeable, doesn't rush through procedures, takes special care to make you feel comfortable and pays attention to ensure everything is done in the best possible way. The whole root canal treatment turned out to be painless, smooth and quick process. It was a pleasant surprise. I was expecting and mentally prepared for much worse. I have been putting off root canals for years because of very bad previous experience with root canal. After the procedure it clearly felt like I was a fool to have gone through trouble by not getting it treated right away. It has been a great experience while making appointments as well. The staff members are very polite and they always accommodate my preferred time slots. Another great thing about the process has been that I always got to see doctor right at the time of appointment. In my previous experiences, I end up waiting for longtime before actually seeing the doctor (even after having confirmed appointment). It clearly seems like they have managed various aspects in a wonderful fashion. The interiors are bit dated but that is least of the things that I care about while going for dental treatments like root canal. read more

I have seen dr cho several times over the last couple years. The first time I was in there, he offended me. I felt as if he was blaming me for the problems and pain in my mouth. I spoke up upon the next visit and he apologized. He is a great at what he does, but his bedside manner could use an adjustment. I had continued to see him because I trust his work. Yesterday, I went to see him for a second opinion on a root canal my dentist had done and has been causing me severe pain. I felt as if he scoffed at my pain when his response was "that seems excessive". When I am in the position where I need his help, I am extremely vulnerable. He has brought me to tears on more than one occasion and yesterday was the final straw. (I'm not a pansy, most people have never seen me cry) There has to be a specialist out there who has a teensy bit more compassion... I'd suggest you keep looking too... read more

I have had 2 root canals performed by Dr. Fred Cho. Pretty much painless, and both times were emergencies for cracked teeth, and both times he was able to see me the day I was referred by my regular dentist. He does a great job of explaining the procedure, and presenting alternatives. Great staff, too! read more

I'm not sure I would use this practice again, if I have the misfortune to need this type of service again. For one, waiting three weeks between appointments has been difficult, since I'm dealing with a temporary crown, and can hardly eat anything. I guess they're good if you're trying to lose weight. Also, Dr. Cho did not bother to read my dentist's referral form prior to my first visit, and it appears that neither of them has heard of email as a communication tool. The referral form, which appears to be provided by Dr. Cho's office, is an approx 5X8 handwritten form which doesn't allow much room for explanation. In her tiny handwriting, my dentist attempted to explain what she had done. But I still had to tell Dr. Cho to read this referral form while I was sitting in the chair, because he could not figure out what my dentist had done prior to my visit to his office. He finally left to call her, so I waited approx 20 or so mins in the chair while they sorted out what should have been sorted out before my appointment. I'm taking time off work yet again for another appointment tomorrow. Yes it's a difficult tooth, but I feel like I'm dealing with a couple of incompetents, when it comes to patient service. I will not go here again, and am seriously considering leaving Hui Dental Group as well. read more

Dr. Cho is fantastic! And his assistant Robyn was awesome too. I had to bring my young son with me to this consultation and she was very sweet and accommodating and helpful with getting him a stool, ushering him away for me to take an x-ray, etc. As for Dr. Cho, he's a wonderful down to earth doctor. What I liked best, was he really took his time to explain all of my options for a tooth I've had a problem with forever. I never felt rushed and he let me ask all my questions. He got me the cost if I did want the procedure (which he did not push) and told me to think about it. NO PRESSURE. Dr. Cho and his assistant (Robin?) were great. He's skilled and gentle, and she was a very comforting, concerned presence in this no-fun situation. They saw me same-day in an emergency situation and I was impressed with their careful, quality work, - in contrast to my first root canal a few years ago in Southern California. At the first sight this place looks very cool - nice microscopes etc. BUT we are talking about doctors here and personal attention is needed. Here they are so busy that I had to sit with open mouth for 2.5 hours waiting for doctor to come and spend 10 minutes to finish the filling. Ridiculous! After all that they have sent additional bill over negotiated out-of-the-pocket price. Summary: This place ONLY about money, patient is not important. read more

CHO FOR THE FIRST TIME, MY PAIN GREATLY DECREASED ! ! * * WITHIN 24 HOURS OF HIS INITIAL TREATMENT, THE PAIN WAS GONE AND I HAD NO FURTHER PAIN FOR THE REST OF THE NECESSARY PROCEDURES ! ! - Dr. Cho began with a prescription for antibiotics before beginning the actual root canal treatments. It was the effectiveness of the antibiotics that eliminated the pain within 24 hours. - After my final visit to install the final plug, I was back to normal, and pain-free, as soon as the Novacane wore off within 2 hours of leaving the office ! ! I was having severe pain and went to see my general dentist who recommended I see an endodontist to have a root canal. He referred me to the specialist in their building but they were out of network so I decided to do some research to find a specialist in network. I came across this office and gave them a call. The medical assistant was great and getting me all squared away for an emergency appointment that afternoon (which was day before yesterday) in spite of how busy they were. I was assigned to Dr. Cho who was amazing! He was very clear in explaining to me the process of a root canal, my options, his recommendations in relation to what he saw was going on with my tooth based on the xrays. Although he had other appointments to tend to he was great at getting me setup and numb while he went over to finish up his appointments and I thought that was a great use of time and professionalism. I never once felt like I was forgotten about and actually the appointment went very smoothly considering I was an emergency drop-in. His staff were very compassionate to my pain and made sure I was comfortable. I kept thanking them because it was such a pleasant experience in an unpleasant situation. I couldnt wait to tell my co-workers about Dr. Cho. I have an appointment next week to complete the root canal with him and I know I will be in good hands with him and his amazing staff. An outstanding experience with Dr. Cho. He is a natural teacher which helped me understandand feel more comfortable with the process and he is very efficient and proficient at what he does. Root canals can be an unnerving experience but Dr. Cho and his staff made it little more than getting a filling for a cavity. (Well, maybe a filling times 5). According to my 17 year old son who had a root canal for two teeth, Dr. Cho is amazing. He felt no pain or discomfort during and after the procedure. When I asked him if he wanted pain meds later that night, my son declined and said again, Dr. Cho did an amazing job. This is from a kid who has had several procedures over the past few years. Dr. Cho and Dr. Moore are excellent endodontist's. I have read some of these reviews on both these doctor's and their staff. I don't think people realize how busy this office is and how they go out of their way to work you into their schedule to accommodate you. Dr. Cho and Dr. Moore have done a Root Canal on not just me but other family members. I feel that their front desk staff and dental assistants do a great job and are very cheerful and helpful with the needs of their patient's. One thing I know for certain if your suffering from a toothache the front desk girls go out of their way to fit you in the doctor's schedule in a pleasant manner! read more
