It is the best way to find a good doctor. Then we started looking at reviews, and just like that...Cody got hurt! He is a young man, dear friend of our family, and one of our son's buddies at school. When I talked to his Mama about his injury and treatment, she recommended Dr. Michael to us. I am glad I asked, and trusted her. We saw Dr. Michael today for a mysterious shoulder injury that my Husband has. We knew after seeing Cody recover, that Dr. Michael was going to be very skilled. He took his time with us, talked to us, explained what may be causing the pain and mobility impairments. We never felt rushed or confused. After the initial interview and some primary adjustments, my Husband had improvement in his range of motion. For the first time, I finally got an accurate diagnosis for my issue from Dr. Mijares. After describing my symptoms, he knew exactly what my issue was and what I needed to do to treat it. Even more, he was able to explain symptoms I was having that I did not describe to him. He listens, is highly knowledgeable, and wants to solve your problem, not just treat you endlessly to make money. What started as a mildly sore hip turned into severe pain that left me barely able to walk for weeks. When I called about a week later because I was getting worse, I was disappointed that the main recommendation was an $850 decompression treatment instead of helping me understand why I was in so much pain.

When the VA declines me, I pay cash and go anyway. I love the immediate release of pain and tension; it's my favorite part of chiropractic care. Dr. Allison is so sweet and there's always an explanation if you want to go deeper. She has incredible bedside manner and honestly we are best friends and she just doesn't know it yet. The office staff are incredibly sweet / cool and Olivia is my favorite massage therapist. I…read morecertainly want others to know about my experience with this clinic so you can make an informed choice about parting with your time & hard-earned $$. When you make a huge $5,000+ investment in getting some relief, only to come out the other end with 0 results (please see my MRI attached after 5 months of adjustments, laser, shock wave, & neck decompression treatments.) Admitting total failure is a very hard pill to swallow. I contacted the clinic after my treatment was over and and spoke to the lady at the front desk, who would not give me the doctor's emails so I could approach them prior to writing this review. I told her that I would take no joy in hurting the reputation of the business and wanted to try to open a discussion outside of that. She responded by telling me that it seemed like I was trying to hurt the business' reputation and told me that my case was closed and all she would do, would be to forward an email that I sent to her, to the "owners," NOT the Doctors who sold me and treated me. I distinctly remember the doctor that SELLS you on treatment (who you most likely won't ever see again because all he does at this clinic is sell you on a high cost "treatment" package,) talking to me about how the treatment will bring blood flow to the disks to plump and improve the overall health of the disks. Not my disks! He also told me that what they do is so successful that they CURE people's ailments! That once you "graduate" (after they get your $5,000 +, that you won't need to come back for future treatments!) The doctor who I saw for my adjustments had a happy outlook until he realized that I was not improving and then as time went on, it just became weird and uncomfortable when my improvement was at zero. On my final visit, he became VERY defensive, telling me "We've worked really hard for you!" "We even gave you a few extra treatments!" Can you imagine, after spending all that money to be told that this is it, your treatment is over with & no follow-up! If they truly cared about the wellness of their patients, I would think a follow up would be a good way to show they care but when you complete their very costly program and you don't get results, you're hung out to dry and "out of luck!" Going ahead with this "treatment package" was one of the worst financial decisions I have ever made. They're quick to take your money but when your results are not good, they're not interested at all in helping you figure out why! There was no correction to any of my bulging disks and no improvement to my pain! In conclusion, do I recommend Texas Clinic of Chiropractic for correction of bulging disks and relief of pain? Absolutely not! If I had my time over again, I would go on YouTube and find a ton of FREE information about how to cure bulging disks yourself at home by strengthening your glutes & core. I've started to feel results from being much more aware of my core and by doing daily glute bridges and core strengthening exercises! PLEASE take serious consideration before handing over an outrageous amount of money for treatment! They did absolutely NOTHING to help my bulging disks, neck and back pain. Please see my MRI's that show there is no improvement to the disks! Buyer beware!
