Been going to Dr. Matt and crew for quite awhile now. Started treatment as part of recovering from sciatica brought on by knee surgery. Now the visits are part of my normal routine. Matt knows his stuff, and Barbara is great at the front desk. Finally, you can't beat the roller table - not sure of the correct name, but 5 minutes on it is heaven. Excellent diagnosis, treatment regimen, staff, and appointment accessibility! About 1/3 of the way though my 16 week plan all my lower back pain vanished. Am now 3/4 done, and each treatment seems to add benefits to remediating my subluxations. Further, Dr Matt considers holistic aspects of whole body health to spinal health giving great advice accordingly. Billing-wise, the overall costs reflect the correct level of my plan but the billing cycles don't exactly match the visits. Overall, the billing is fair and accurate for the overall 16 visits plus. Hours are somewhat limited, but even within those limitations, I have never been turned down for an adjustment. Don't forget to bring 50 cents on each visit for the ever ubiquitous Memphis parking meters. 50 cents should cover any adjustment. If you use a debit/credit card the MINIMUM charge is $1.50 - a 200% increase in cost! read more

Absolutely the worst experience I can imagine. Treatment was completely unhelpful, but what was worse was that they tried to convince me, and a roomful of other new patients, that if we didn't commit to at least a year of treatments with them, at a cost of many thousands of dollars, we could get cancer. Yes, cancer. That's what this Matt dude was trying to tell us. My experience led me to conclude that this is all a scam and a con to prey on scared and vulnerable people who are in pain. In spite of this high pressure sales pitch, I did continue to get treatments a couple times a week to give this practice a fair trial. After all, I thought, perhaps they are skilled practitioners who have made a bad mistake as far as business practices. I had no results after an expensive series of appointments. I went to this office simply because of the location - I work and live downtown - so it was convenient. From day one, it just felt scam-y to me. I appreciate the idea of "whole body wellness" and the idea that spinal health leads to health throughout the body. However, they tried selling me a whole YEAR of chiropractic care on day 2. How do you have any idea that i'll still need care 10 months from now? I went in because I was having problems with my hip -- despite my better judgment, I kept going to appointments (I declined the year-long program) -- thinking that Dr. Matt could help me with my hip problems. Over 2 months later (and after exhausting my insurance benefits) -- I wasn't feeling any kind of relief in my hip. I decided, instead of continuously throwing money without any relief, that I would stop seeing Dr. Matt. Months later, still having hip problems, I decided to make the drive out to Bartlett to Cole Pain Therapy Group. Boy am I glad I did. Within ONE WEEK, I was seeing progress on my hip. Within 2 weeks, I was running 3+ miles with no pain. Clearly whatever Dr. Matt was doing was NOT what my body needed, if another chiropractor could make such a difference in such a small amount of time. To add insult to injury, 5 months after stopping services at Chiropractic Memphis, I received a bill from them -- saying I owe $40 from one of my initial visits -- 7 months before I received the bill. At no point during the 2 months I was a patient there (with 2 or 3 visits a week) was I informed that i had this balance to pay. A call to the office was entirely unhelpful. This place felt like a scam from the very beginning and I wish I would have trusted my gut. Save yourself time and money by avoiding this office. Trust me, it's worth making the drive outside of downtown. read more

Great thus far. I used an online coupon to get a deal on my initial diagnosis and the X-rays revealed major issues with my spine which I had expected but my military insurance doesn't cover this. Dr. Matt had a plan ready to go to start increasing my mobility and after my first 8 weeks I just completed a half marathon. I am weary of all chiropractic work and it's effectiveness but I honestly couldn't deny the results I begrudgingly started to see after the first 3 visits. The only reason for 4 stars is the limited office hours- I am skirting work responsibilities to abide by the weird schedule and the commitment to my 3x a week plan but understand there are other offices. And coming from someone who can spot a gimmick or sales pitch- Dr. Matt is anything but selling his services. He cares about your well being and remembers everything that may be slightly important to you. read more

I had a very bad experience at this office. The appointments are rushed, and absolutely not private, so it isn't possible to express your feedback comfortably to the chiropractor. I don't recommend this chiropractor and have had much better care and results elsewhere. Though the doctor here will come across as extremely confident about the modality of chiropractic care, I don't believe his rushed exam method is right for everyone. He does not check each patient very carefully each time. Know that there are better providers out there, who charge less and spend more time with you! Also, I would advise anyone to read "program" contracts very carefully. Most importantly, my husband and I got burned with huge bills when we decided to opt out of the care. Both highly educated, we didn't understand what we were getting into with the programs. Lesson learned. I hope this helps others. I see others with similar experiences here on google and elsewhere.
