I used to come here regularly when I was on a structured (and expensive) treatment plan. Recently, I only needed a basic adjustment, so I called ahead specifically to confirm the cost. I was told my insurance had been verified and that the visit would not be more than $150. However, when I arrived -- before I had even sat down -- staff immediately began telling me I would likely need X-rays and additional services, while also trying to sign me up for a "discount program" that costs $50 just to join. After I declined the program, I was then told the visit would no longer just be $150 and that there would be an additional $85 charge. This felt very misleading and sales-driven. Unfortunately, it seems like the focus here is more on upselling than on simply providing the service the patient requested. On top of that, the front office staff and another employee who joined the conversation were quite rude, which made the experience even more disappointing. I would recommend confirming pricing very carefully before coming in. read more

She made me feel stupid for simply asking questions about my insurance. Sorry if you were having a bad day but that's no way to speak to a potential customer. I couldn't be more grateful to have found Dr. Brown. I had the worst pain in my neck and upper back for months. He listened and I felt heard. Easy, complete chriropractic care I've been going here for continued wellness for some time. It has been a much more cost effective method than regular doctors appointments which typically end in medication rather than care and solutions. The staff are fantastic and personable and sincerely care about each patient. Scheduling is simple and quick as well as having to reschedule in the situations that all too often occur. This area has further improved by including text capabilities making the entire process more convenient and effective. There are many means of correction and health rebuilding available beyond the normal adjustments, such as a range of traction options. They also have large tvs with relaxing graphics and important information and general knowledge that I have found valuable. This all makes the wait less of a wait if/when one does need to wait for their adjustment. The only items to be aware of are as follows: The area for adjustments, warmups, traction, etc., is essentially one open area with very limited concepts of privacy. However the privacy has improved with curtains and partitions making the overall environment more relaxed. The relaxation is also affected by having some music pumped lightly through the speakers in the ceiling and the lights having softer colors or covers. The overall facility is not very large and there is a lot of traffic. I highly recommend using this facility for either the wellness purposes or for serious adjustment and correction needs. read more

Doctor Brown does not adjust your back on the first visit after taking history and looking at X-rays . You must come back the next day to hear a long sales job about coming 3 times a week for 3 or 4 months at an outrageous price. Your first visit was higher cost than my insurance copay was so expect to pay more and leave the first visit with the same pain you arrived with because they wish to get you back the next day for additional $ knowing you are in pain. Most chiropractors are not this way. Most are excellent healers. read more

Dr. Brown and his friendly and warm staff are a well-oiled and helpful machine! I have been coming here for over 3 years and love the care that I receive. They have state of the art technology and equipment mixed with old-fashioned chiropractic know-how that is client-centric and promotes healing. The staff has been the same over the years and it makes me feel like I'm coming to see old friends that are just as happy to see me as I am them. I love Dr. Brown and the entire staff here!! I always get in no problem which is so important when you're in pain!! I have a very physical job, so many times I've hobbled in and Doc straightens me up and I can walk out!! They have been my go to for pain relief or over 8 years!! I started coming here after a car accident and they went above and beyond to help fix me up and I always feel like I'm visiting friends who are truly concerned about me! I enjoy going to Dr. Brown's office as everyone is very friendly and helpful. Also, you can get an appointment easily. The office is convenient to Ybor, Westshore district and of course south Tampa. I usually call a day or two before I need to come in and with lunch time and after work appointments, it makes it easy for me. I go in for regular appointment every one to two months. When my neck is getting tight and I am getting headaches, I know it is time to schedule an appointment. If you do have to wait, there are two massage chairs up front that make the wait more relaxing. Dr. Brown will adjust your plan to what works for you, and there is no pressure to do anything that you are not comfortable with. read more

I am a HUGE fan of this place. I recently moved from NYC and was seeing a Chiropractor in the Financial District area, and one would think it cant get better than that but nope, I was wrong. I was looking for a Chiropractor and calling different places, and this was actually the only place that was able to squeeze me in last minute. Before adjusting me, he took an X-ray to be sure he is adjusting correctly. THIS WAS MINDBLOWING! Like who wouldve thought, an Xray before adjustment? With this alone, that is why I would recommend this place 100x over any other chiropractor. This office also has the decompression table which I am a huge fan of, and this stretches your spine--amazing! Anywho, long story short, turns out that with the one Xray taken, the issue all along was my neck not being curved properly, which is what is hurting my shoulder blades. --This I wouldve never figured out, had I not came to this office because the other Chiropractors I was going to, (there were 3 others before here) were not tackling the right issue. I have been coming to the Chiropractic Care Center for over a year now as a means of maintaining a healthy body. The office is conveniently located and easy to access with more than sufficient parking. Every member of the staff is wonderful and it is clear that they care about every client they see as the interact with anyone who wants to, answer all questions and work to ensure each person leaves feeling better than how they came, not just physically but emotionally too. It's a highly underplayed value, but happiness also improves healthiness. This is my 3rd chiropractor and each have been good. However this location has offered more for my ongoing recovery of sports injuries, car accidents, and general posture and lifestyle choices that have left aspects of my body in tatters, especially my neck. Since coming I have seen definite improvements all the way around and also can tell just how much a difference it makes when I am unable to make it back for an extended period of time. In terms of options to correct the body the office offers the standard full range of adjustments to any part of the body in need followed by neck and or back traction devices that make a phenomenal amount of difference. My favorite is the lumbar traction device that I like to refer to as "the rack" as it uses weights and motion to slowly pull your back apart. It's absolutely my favorite! The waiting area has two massage chairs that can be used on the way in or in departure as added relaxation. They have several others devices and tools for those who need them, depending on the type of recovery and treatment needed I guess, and many are helpful to warming up for the adjustments. Over my time here Dr Brown and team have continued to add to the options allowing for more people to get more help and more complete help. Scheduling is extremely easy as is the process of having to reschedule at a moments notice, as I have had to do on multiple occasions. The office hours are great allowing for the busy business person more options than just during standard office hours and have recent made some office hour changes based upon the needs of their clients. Over my time they have taken reassessments of my progress to ensure I am getting better and do so using some of the latest tech to make it very cost effective and without having to radiate your body unnecessarily. I am very appreciative of that. Dr. Brown has always listened to any of my concerns and even recommendations or inquiries about alternative means to bettering my health including exercise alternatives like yoga and tai chi, new medications on the market that aren't just drugs, and much more... all with the purpose of helping the person to be healthier even if it means getting to see that person less because they are in better general health. That should be the goal of all doctors and I'm glad that's the goal here. Some things to note that might concern some looking to use this office but wouldn't decrease my score: The office isn't all that big and they manage to fit a massive amount in a very small space and continue to reconfigure to get more space to workout/warmup and also for all the additional tables, devises and tools. They really do a lot in a little amount of space. This leads to the other important note, which is that the office is an 'open space.' What that means is there really aren't any walls. Everyone gets adjusted in the same open area and all the devices, tables, etc., are in that same general area (kind of like the open gym style). While this does limit some privacy, you also know no monkey business occurs. It also means that all of the interesting decor and important, informative information littering the establishment are also easily and readily available at all times. So to sum it all up, I'm glad I was recommended to go here and have no plans of changing even after having moved out of the city.. it's worth it. read more

I initially went to see Dr. Dean Brown for a sore neck. That was resolved in just a few sessions. Then, the miracles started! I had lost my sense of smell about two years prior to going to see Dr. Dean. When I arrived home one day after a treatment, I got out of my car and was floored because I smelled that someone had just mowed their lawn! I now have all of my sense of smell and taste back. I also had a drooping shoulder that I attributed to playing guitar for years. It caused me a great deal of pain, at times. Dr. Dean explained that I had rib that was not in it's optimal position.
