Dr Tosh is a body mechanic! I have been to numerous chiropractors in the last 30 years, with one long-term until he passed. He was great. Dr Tosh is better. He's the BEST chiropractor ever. I'm so glad a friend recommended Dr Tosh. He is not a "crack you and get you out the door" kind of chiropractor. I have never left his office without learning a new exercise to continue the healing he began. He doesn't use gadgets. He doesn't have a wall full of useless junk to sell you, or try to upsell laser treatments (or whatever the current trend is). He just FIXES YOU. Every time I go to him, he improves me. Not just, " oh, it sure felt nice to get my back cracked". I feel less pain and better alignment than I knew was possible. Plus, the tools to continue improving my problem areas. He just gets to the root of the problem, and lets your body tell him how much it's ready to move. This is awesome, because I've been hurt by chiropractors before. I have total trust in this guy. The bodywork he does IS a bit more time intensive, and he accordingly charges for that time. Your "copay" will be more. It's a bargain for what is accomplished, and he's upfront about it. I'm glad he lives so far away from Los Angeles, because I want him to be busy... But not that busy ! read more

Dr. Tosh is the best of the best. He takes his time and listens. He offers stretches and strengthening to support the chiropractic and ART work he performs so that I can help myself between visits. I've met and worked with a lot of bodywork folks and Chris really goes above and beyond. His current knowledge and interest in learning all he can really shines. He has such passion for solving our body "problems". He's also funny and easy-going which makes the whole visit comfy and relaxed. Additionally, the new office is gorgeous, bright and inviting, and has plenty of parking. It's an elevated experience! Can't recommend him enough! read more

Great care in a clean and professional office setting. Dr. Tosh is an exceptional chiropractor with extensive experience as a bodyworker. I felt well taken care of in addition to be well informed as to what stretches and exercises are best for my body. read more

I don't think I've ever walked out of a chiropractic appointment smiling. I was "today years old" when it finally happened after seeing Dr. Tosh! First I was warmly welcomed by the very personable Misty. Then Dr. Tosh was able to see me right on time for my appointment. He is very knowledgeable yet humble, and he took the time to interview me first and ask for specifics on the issues I needed addressed. During the entire bodywork process, he explained the "what" and "why" for each step. I highly approve of Dr. Tosh and Chiropractic Bodywork, and of course will be seeing him regularly. read more

I have been to several Chiropractors over a period of about 10 years, and Dr. Tosh is one of the best in my opinion. With every appointment, he takes the time to THOROUGHLY listen to my concerns and helps me to understand what he is doing and why. I never feel rushed or unheard like I have with many other Chiro's. You can tell he's very passionate about what he does, and truly wants to help his clients, not just put you through an assembly line to make as much money as possible. Unfortunately, that's how a lot of other places that I went were like. He's super knowledgeable and really knows what he's doing. He helped give relief to back pain I have had for countless years, because he really cares to help create a manageable, customized treatment that goes beyond just adjustments, when needed. I definitely recommend him highly. He's a rare gem in his field! read more

Dr. Tosh truly cares about his patients. He takes the time to listen to your concerns, I never feel rushed. Most chiropractors do the same adjustment every time and you are in and out in 15 mins. Dr. Tosh spends 30 mins each visit. His front desk staff is polite and courteous. If you are in pain I highly recommend making an appointment and getting some relief. read more

If I could give more stars, I would. Dr. Tosh is absolute magic. I've been to a number of chiropractors over the years and can confidently say that no one is like Chris. He is holistic in his approach and seems to intuitively know what's needed for each patient's specific healing. I initially went to him, based off a referral from a friend, when I had a pinched nerve in my neck. He healed that in the 1 session, so I went back for a few other issues. Every session is so much more than traditional chiropractic work (it's truly "bodywork"). When needed, Dr. Tosh will recommend and demonstrate exercises to help healing and/or prevention of further injury. I've referred several friends & family members to Dr. Tosh. It feels so good to get calls thanking me for the referral. I've had people tell me that they have gone to doctors for months regarding issues that Dr. Tosh helped them with in a couple of sessions. He's a healer! Cannot recommend enough. read more

Dr. Susie is by far the best Chiropractor I've seen. She is amazing at what she does and she really educates her patients. I am so impressed that she's been able to really help me with my neck pain. I would recommend her to everyone! read more

I called the office manager, Maria, and asked her what would I expect, do they do full body, etc. She gave me the full rundown, which sounded good so I asked to book the appointment with the main doctor, Dr. Tosh, since he had raving reviews. Maria told me that he was booked up til September for the initial consultation plus adjustment, but I could be seen by one of his doctors. Then she assured me that after that, I could book a regular 30 minute adjustment with Dr. Tosh. I asked if his associate doctor does a full body adjustment and uses the same techniques as Dr. Tosh. She confirmed both. I arrived for my appointment with Dr. Soo Hoo. He was a very nice, young man, but completely inexperienced. He talked for the majority of the appointment and waited for the last 5 minutes to use some stupid vibrating machine on me and to do the adjustment. He only adjusted 2 parts, NOT the full body. I didn't even crack, especially in places where I always crack. The adjustment actually hurt. He even remarked that two areas on my body were tight, but he wasn't able to get them this time, but he'll do it next time. I asked him to do it real quick because I even marked those spots on my sheet and it hurts badly, but he said he would get to it next time. I left still in extreme pain. NOTHING changed after this appointment. I was extremely disappointed because I was mislead by the office manager. I paid the full amount after my appointment and Maria told me that she went ahead and already scheduled a paid follow appointment with Dr. Tosh. I thought it was strange that she just scheduled an appointment for me without me knowing, but at that time I wanted to see Dr. Tosh, since he's the main doctor. The next day, I felt the same level of pain; it was almost as if I never even had an adjustment. So I called and asked for a partial refund because paying $180 was not worth it. Maria said no at first and defended the doctor, saying that he did see me and gave me a full body adjustment, even though she was not in the room and did not observe him. Then immediately asked if she could have my address and email without waiting for me to respond. So I repeated my stance. She also never took responsibility for misleading me that I would receive a full body adjustment, when I clearly didn't. The way Maria handled this situation was poor. It became clear to me that this chiropractic office did not care about my health/recovery. They only care about their business. They ended up giving me a partial refund, but they canceled my follow up appointment with Dr. Tosh because she said that she couldn't guarantee that my adjustment would be different. So basically, they can't guarantee that the main doctor who owns the chiropractic office will be able to help relieve pain from their patients. That's the whole point of chiropractic care! I told her no problem and I called another chiropractor- Dr. Bennett with Optimal Health, who saw me right away. They were thorough and more affordable. They did x-rays and went over then with me. And I felt a huge release from the adjustment. He also did a real full body adjustment. I actually cracked big time and the pain lessened. So they're my new chiropractors now. I bought a full package. I would never recommend Chiropractic Bodyworks because they're not making health a priority. Don't waste your time or money. They've certainly lost my trust. Dr. Bennett with Optimal Health is better and more affordable. read more

Dr Tosh is the only chiropractor I trust to work on my neck post surgery. His detailed muscle work & stretching has me feeling amazing. Got full range of motion back within just a few visits. We are now working on my knee, low back and TMJ issues. He is so knowledgeable, takes the time to listen, and is extremely thorough with everything he does. He also has shockwave machine that works wonders on my injuries- highly recommend. Thank you Dr Tosh for everything you do! So happy you moved closer! read more

I have this running injury since January. My primary care physician told me I have trigger points deep inside my lower leg and I need to find a good massage therapist to get it out. I went to a few massage places and it didn't help. I even tried acupuncture but that also did not help. My coach recommended me to see Chris Tosh. He worked on my leg using Active Release Technique and my leg gotten way better after a few treatment. I was able to complete my first 50 miles trail run shortly after thanks to his treatment. read more

First let me say that I have never been a fan of Chiro care. It seems that no matter what the problem is, it somehow originates from one of those mysterious "subluxations" which is banally repeated in Chiro-speak. In which case after watching a promo I mean therapy video, you will only get better after months of "treatments". Some of which are from ridiculously looking instruments, like that spring loaded pencil thing. I am regularly thrown to the ground with Judo and that's going to do exactly what? Your body is either being violated with electrocution, vibrations or WWF Crackdowns, but they seem to never treat you...or in better terms...heal you. Well, this guy is not "one of those", he is a true healer. He is extremely modest, totally non-doctorish. He takes the time to listen, then with a wealth of knowledge about the human anatomy, tries to explain to you his functional and holistic approach on how he is going to fix you. Although, he never makes false promises or guarentees the fairy-tale ending. The clients that come out of the treatment room look spent, but in a good way. They all have that look, that wow, this guy is amazing! I would concur! I've been going for a few months now for treatment on my hips, shoulders and neck! Being involved in martial arts, there is something that always needing attention. I first came to him, because he is listed as one of the few practitioners of "Active Release Technique". He is well qualified in many other modalities of treatment as well. Five stars for the Doctor Tosh! He specializes in sports injuries, so anyone involved with rigorous activities that is needing constant attention, this is your guy. read more

These people are the absolute best. Dr. Tosh is a healer. It's so much more than going to a chiropractor. He treats the whole person. And he is so thoughtful, and patient, and gentle, and kind. He is absolutely meant to be doing what he is doing. And everyone leaves that office a little lighter. Also, Dr. Coddington worked on me for my entire twin pregnancy, and she was the highlight of my week when I was going through one of the toughest physical experiences of my lifetime. Not to mention, we were also involved in a real estate nightmare (see my review of the awful realtor Mary Dignan Hill for more on that!) on top of a high risk pregnancy... going to their office each week was the best medicine for my head as well! Can't recommend them enough. I even bought my parents gift cards to go when they came into town (they live across the country) and now it's a regular thing for them to come in whenever they are in town. My dad is a former professional athlete so he has seen them all... and he agrees, Dr. Tosh is a level above the rest. We are all lucky to be worked on by him!!! read more

Dr. Tosh is the greatest body doctor I've ever worked with, and I'm decades into this. His boundless knowledge and incredible dexterity are unparalleled in the US. This place is an incredible gem, and everyone I've intro'd to the facility feels the same. read more

I've been seeing Dr. Tosh since before Chiropractic Bodywork came to be. I'm a little embarrassed it's taken me this long to review it. As a distance runner, I beat my instrument up a little bit. I try to see Chris at least once a month for preventative maintenance, but what makes him special is what he's able to do with runners who have had long term issues they haven't been able to correct. I have some lower back tightness that leads to a loss of range of motion and can become quite painful from time to time, and Chris helped me figure out what the imbalance of muscle strength and flexibility was causing the problem. Between Active Release Therapy (ART) and his sports chiropractic work, he has always individually assessed what I have going on with great care and attention to every little detail. He hates being called a "healer" so I guess I'll just call him the world's best body mechanic. He cares tremendously about what he does, and brings that care from first visit to what is now probably my 50th time seeing him or more (over the last 6-7 years). If you have something you fear is chronic, even if it doesn't seem like something to see a chiro for (knee, ankle, foot, Achilles, etc), go see Dr. Tosh or one of his two colleagues (Dr. Coddington & Dr. Chapman) and get back to the activities/sports you love. Pain free. read more

Love their technique here. They actually warm up and release your muscles before adjusting you. They helped me with some issues I was having back in October as well as more recently with sciatica and some shoulder/back rib pain. When I came in yesterday I could barely breathe because of the pain I was in- today I feel perfectly fine. Huge thanks to Doctor Susie for taking care of me. read more

Dr. Tosh is not your "regular chiropractor;" he is a highly skilled practitioner using both Active Release Technique (ART) and chiropractic techniques in his very hands-on treatments. Tosh is very passionate, knowledgeable and thorough and he has very "perceptive hands," quickly and efficiently locating problem areas and handling them. The office is clean and the staff very friendly and professional. I very highly recommend him! read more

These reviews of Dr. Tosh are full of superlatives like 'amazing, best ever, magic, gentle, 6 stars, by far the best, recommended without reservation, super knowledgeable, rare gem, absolute magic, no one like Chris, healer, extremely thorough, above and beyond, really shines, clearly dedicated, unlike any other, greatest, boundless knowledge, unparalleled, incredible gem, perceptive hands, funny, world's best body mechanic ('hates being called a healer'), how great he is, a true healer, extremely modest and non-doctorish, clients all have that 'wow this guy is amazing' look, shares his wisdom, 10 stars, I had basically given up then someone recommended Dr. Tosh...amazing...a true student of the body, incredibly knowledgeable.' I have been Chris Tosh' client on and off for a number of years and agree with all these comments, which as far as I can tell are unprecedented on Yelp. I would add that he wears his learning lightly and presents with a modest demeanor yet persistent intention to use his knowledge and skills in service of whoever he is working with. And yes, often funny. read more

I was rear ended in a very bad accident which left me with tons of nerve pain and tissue damage in my low back and hips. After going to an orthopedist, physical therapist, back specialist, and a few other chiropractors, all with very minimal (if any) improvement, I had basically given up and accepted that I'd just be in pain. Then someone recommended Dr. Tosh. I'll admit, I went in not expecting much after seeing so many doctors with limited results. But Dr. Tosh was able to do more in a few visits than months of treatment with other people. The ART is amazing and really, really effective. Dr. Tosh is nice as can be and a true student of the body. He's incredibly knowledgeable and always trying to learn more. Can't recommend him enough :) read more

I have lost count of how many years I have been visiting Dr. Tosh, my monthly(ish) visits are a great way to keep my body in good working order. His methods are very much hands on and non-formulaic, the ART work in particular has been a big help for me. He is one of a rare few who are more concerned with patient outcomes than income. read more

Dr. Susie is the best! She's very attentive and explains every thing I needed to know. At home exercises, adjusting feels so good! And she helped realign the base of my spine, crazy. Fixed so many things for me and I feel amazing. Couldn't have done it without her and I also just feel so much more in tune and informed with my body and what it needs. Thanks Dr. Susie!!! read more

I've had prolotherapy done on my leg and shoulder and had limited success. With ART and Dr. Tosh both are much better. I've seen other ART practitioners and Chris' is much more detailed and he just does more. Probably the best in the LA area. If you are planning on doing this or need chiro/ART treatment don't go see anybody else. read more

I had tried several different chiropractic offices, varying in specialties and no one has ever been as effective in alleviating the pain and lowering the frequency of need for adjustment like Dr Tosh. He is thorough and explanatory in what is causing the issues in your body, while helping you learn how to maintain comfort in daily life. He was able to keep me stabilized and lower the frequency of pain with 1-3weeks between adjustments while other doctor I had seen all recommended once a week visits if not more. I wouldn't want any other chiropractor, and although due to working out of town I have visited other offices; no doctor or treatment can compare to what he offers and how great he is! read more

Dr. Tosh and Dr. Chapman are such amazing chiropractors! They are both very caring, and take a lot of time to understand everything that is going on. Some adjustments can be a little intense but they walk you through everything and make sure you are 100% comfortable with everything they do. The facility is clean and beautiful and the front desk staff is always very friendly and accommodating. It's super easy to make appointments and always a wonderful experience going there. I always feel so energized and happy leaving their office and my body has felt great! Totally recommend going here! read more

I discovered Chiropractic Bodywork when I needed to find a new chiropractor that did muscle work and accepted insurance. I have been a patient of Doctor Ryan Chapman for over 1 year, and have recommended him to friends and family alike. Dr. Chapman is caring, patient, and gentle in his adjustments. Chiropractic Bodywork is different from the majority of chiropractic offices in that you spend the entire appointment with the Doctor actively working on you, and appointments typically run 30-45 minutes. Manual muscle work (not an electric massager or heat pad) loosen your back up for a more effective adjustment. Dr. Chapman also holds a degree in massage! He combines massage with active release therapy, and the direct result of this is better adjustments that last longer. I have been receiving chiropractic care for 26 years, and this is the best office I have worked with. I have multiple protruding discs in my neck, and most chiropractor's adjustments led to migraines post adjustment, not the case with Dr. Chapman's adjustments. Dr. Chapman's care has allowed me to have a better quality of life and continue to do the things I love, I am relieved to have found such a great chiropractic office in the Valley! It is also good to know that he can do mobile adjustments too. read more

Dr. Chris Tosh is by far the best chiropractor I've seen. I've been to doctors with injuries from running and playing basketball and those doctors would just tell me to stop and give up on those activity without even trying to find a cure or help me out with my injury. Dr. Chris works with you with great care, patience and provide detailed information on the cause and the problem. His A.R.T. (Active Release Therapy) technical works well on many treatments from psoas issues to joint problems. He can also find any imbalance in your body that may have caused issues before running into injuries. This guy is the man to go to for sports related injury. After visiting Dr. Tosh's office today, I though I'd take the time to write a review. I've been going to a chiropractor (off & on) for the last 20 years and can say, unequivocally, Dr. Tosh is the BEST in the business!! He's not addicted to "the crack" - meaning he spends quality time with you, letting your body guide him, not just 5mins cracking your back. His many years as a massage therapist shine through in his approach. I completely agree with the other reviewers on here, Dr. Tosh is a healer! I can't recommend him enough. He has changed my life!! read more
