She was running about a half hour late, which is not uncommon for most doctors. A physical exam was not conducted, other than examination of my right calf. Prior to my appt, I submitted medical documentation, and sent Dr Corbeille an email requesting review of the documentation prior to my appt. At the beginning of my appt, I asked Dr Corbeille if she had reviewed the documentation I submitted, and she replied, "I started to but then I got distracted". I asked her if she had read my email and she looked puzzled and replied, "no". The majority of the appointment was spent discussing past health history, instead of treatment options. She provided a 3 minute ozone treatment in the ears. Felt tine until about the 48 hour mark, then had a severe herxheimer reaction that lasted 8 days. Was sold a $50 bottle of ozone pills, which also were not well tolerated. If you are immunocompromised or an asthmatic, this practice might not be a good fit for you. The entire office was very fragrant. The scent was noticeable immediately upon entering, and lingered on my person long after the appt was over. The receptionist said she couldn't smell anything and looked puzzled when I mentioned the scent throughout the office. Appt was $400 in total with no benefit gained from the visit.

I will also attest to Dr. Timmer's communication. I was extremely sick in the Spring time, potentially with Covid. I was in and out of the doctors (ER and urgent care). I was bed-ridden for two weeks. I contacted Dr. Timmer every time I had a concern, and she followed up with my concerns and road to recovery via emails within a couple of hours or so. After recovering, I started to have other health issues and Dr Timmer was able to determine I had a heart murmur after being so deathly ill. This baffles me, only because when I was in and out of the ER and Urgent Care, no one told me they heard a heart murmur when they listened to my heart. She recommended three treatments in one week, and for all of them I was on the table 45 minutes or longer (I believe one was an hour and a half). When I inquired as to the ideal frequency of visits I was told that coming in as often as possible is best. After the third visit, my health crashed with incapacitating symptoms of overexertion. I also began having significant breathing trouble from an ongoing throat issue that Dr. Steinecker had been fully briefed on in our first meeting. After several hours of throat wheezing with each breath I made contact with Dr. Steinecker, calmly communicated what was happening, and was advised to "talk myself down" and counseling was the recommended treatment. I now see a different cranial osteopath. The throat/breathing issue also happened the day after my second treatment from him. Rather than assuming psychological origin, he made various physiological recommendations that relieved the situation and has since identified the problem. Also, he finds that half an hour every 2-3 weeks is plenty and is extremely cautious about over-treating any of his patients. I solicited a third opinion from another cranial osteopath who agreed the treatment I received from Steinecker was far more than *any* person ought to be given at once, let alone someone in my state. Devorah is a humorous, easy-going, compassionate doctor with skilled hands and significant ability to sense exactly what manipulation is called for and where in order to alleviate pain and other issues. It's mind-blowing, and if that's all you need then you may well have a satisfying experience as her patient. However I required a higher degree of sensitivity to my body's limitations and a more scientific approach than immediately passing off confounding issues as psychological problems. I want to share my views of Dr. Charles Cobbs with the world. The man is a true miracle worker. I…read morewas in San Francisco for a conference and was in a desperate way because of the pain I was experiencing. After arriving in San Francisco and during a visit with a cousin, he suggested that I go for "one more" consultation with a surgeon. Fortunately, Dr. Cobbs had time to see me on April 30, 2013. In short, he took the most amazing care of me. For months and months I had suffered with unrelenting back and leg pain. I had seen many doctors, all of them quite able, but had received so many mixed and conflicting diagnoses and treatment plans that I was truly confused. In some ways, I do not think that the doctors themselves knew how to proceed with my tricky and complicated problem. Well, when I saw Dr. Cobbs he immediately diagnosed my problem (synovial cyst on the spine which was pressing on the nerve root) which was followed by surgery to remove the cyst that day. When I woke up from the surgery the pain was gone. I could have just cartwheeled down the hall of the hospital. Yes, the surgery was successful but that only tells part of the story. Dr. Cobbs' diagnostic skills were superb, his interpersonal skills were outstanding, and his post-operative care was second to none. He recognized that I was a bit nervous to have surgery by someone I had just met but he inspired confidence and explained the problem and surgical procedure in the most gentle and accessible terms. I am now back in Toronto (my home) and cannot fully express my gratitude to Dr. Cobbs and his team. His admin staff were gentle, informative, and helpful. Thank you to the entire team for giving me back my life. If you are looking for an outstanding neurosurgeon with great interpersonal skills then book an appointment with him.
