Decided to go for lunch today and saw a photo of a chicken salad sub that looked really good. Never had it before but it was advertised as fresh roasted chicken. Photo attached for reference. What I received instead was basically what looked like tuna. Covered in flavorless, watered-down mayo (it dripped from the sandwich when I picked it up). There was so much lettuce you couldn't even see the chicken anyway. What I got was a wet sub filled with lettuce. Didn't eat close to even half, just ended up throwing it away because really it tasted like nothing. I've almost immediately felt sick when we left. Things that gave it the extra star was the very nice employees working there who were very attentive. I won't blame them for owner decisions. Tables had a lot of crumbs and salt so I ended up cleaning my table before using it. At least the trash was empty I guess. My husband couldn't get sweet tea either because that was also empty. I'm so frustrated because I could have probably dealt with a lot of that but having a photo of what you are to receive and then getting the saddest version of it where clearly cost was more important. On the other hand, it was the worst service I have had in recent memory. We started by asking for 2 margaritas and 2 waters. The margaritas were very good. The two glasses of water had no ice and were room temperature. When we got the bill at the end of the meal, we were billed for 2 bottled waters at $1.50 each. I'm guessing that we were not supposed to be billed for the water, but the inexperience and lack of English by the waitress likely caused the error. I paid the bill without comment. There were no chips given or offered. To best describe the ability of the waitress, imagine that you took an 18 year old who had grown up in another country, had never been an employee or patron in a restaurant, given her no training, and left her there on her own as the only server in the place. Each time anyone wanted to order anything, she had to go back to the bar to get her order book. I watched her make 5 separate trips to deliver food to the table next to ours when any normal waitress would have done it in 2 trips. After we finished eating, it took another 20 minutes to pay the bill and get out. Be aware that the tip was included on the bill. The restaurant is not in a great part of town, but I did not feel unsafe. My wife was a bit uneasy walking back to the car. Despite the service, I will likely go back because the food was so good.
