Now that over two years have passed since my procedure, I have developed deep irregularities (uneven and lumpy texture) across my cheeks and under my eyes. Instead of a smooth transition, the texture is uneven and looks unnatural. The lip lift left a very prominent and obvious scar underneath my nose. It is not the hidden or discreet result I was led to believe. Despite the facelift, I have an excessive amount of wrinkles around my neck, chin, and mouth area. As time goes on, the hollows and unevenness are becoming more pronounced rather than settling. The cost of these procedures was incredibly high. I feel that the premium prices patients pay are for his massive marketing and social media production, not for superior surgical skill. For the amount of money spent, one expects precision and personalized care, neither of which I received. When I met with Dr. Karam via Zoom four months post-op to express my dissatisfaction, he was dismissive. He refused to guarantee any revision work to correct these clear issues. It is now clear that this is a mass production practice where the focus is on bringing in new clients through polished social media photos rather than ensuring the long-term quality of the work. He was confident it would help, and I trusted his reputation and the glowing reviews. The cost was $5,000, and he encouraged me to use Care Credit, saying there would be no interest. I decided to go for it, believing it would improve my confidence. On the day of surgery, I was told I'd be unconscious and wouldn't feel a thing. That couldn't have been further from the truth. Although they gave me anesthesia, I was definitely awake. I felt out of it but aware enough to feel the pain during the surgery. When I told Dr. Tigari I could feel it, his response was, "I thought you were stronger than this." I was horrified, but there was no turning back. I spent the entire surgery squeezing the nurse's hand for comfort (bless her for being so kind). To make matters worse, I could hear Dr. Tigari and the nurses casually chatting during the procedure, asking me questions like who my favorite singer was and why I didn't attend their concert. I was conscious enough to have a conversation while they were performing liposuction. The whole experience was traumatizing, and I would never go through it again. The recovery was extremely painful, but even after healing, I noticed lumps, indents, and no real improvement in the size of my thighs. Six months post-op, I reached out to Dr. Tigari about my concerns, and his response was that results were "never guaranteed" and that my thighs "looked fine." They did offer some follow-up services to address the lumps, which helped slightly, but my scars are still visible despite two separate scar-removal treatments. To make matters worse, I discovered that the Care Credit plan wasn't interest-free as promised. My boyfriend realized the interest rate had skyrocketed, and I would have been paying off this procedure for the rest of my life if he hadn't stepped in and paid the remaining $4,000. I then booked with Dr. Sabrina Fabi for the first time, influenced by her large social media presence and how the front desk emphasized how hard it is to get an appointment with her. For context, I'm very experienced with Botox and have had it done many times in the same areas without issue. At this visit, I received Botox in my masseters, crow's feet, under-eye bag line, 11s, and forehead. None of these areas were new for me. Dr. Fabi arrived about 40 minutes late, which I was told is "typical." That night, I developed large, visible lumps in my masseters and additional bumps near my temples when opening my mouth. I'd never experienced anything like this before. I returned to the office two days later and was told it was "normal" and that Botox takes two weeks to settle. By the time of my follow-up appointment nearly a week later, my appearance was extremely abnormal. The best way I can describe it is that I looked like a mix between Chiseled Squidward and Quasimodo. I pay a premium to go to a cosmetic dermatology practice because this is my face, and I expect expertise, precision, and accountability. At the follow-up, I felt dismissed and gaslit. While the masseter issue was acknowledged, my main concern was new bumps near my eyes that I never had before. Dr. Fabi insisted they were always there, which is simply not true. I have clear before photos. When I said I felt my before looked better, her response was, "Oh, with your hooded eyes?" That comment felt unnecessary and unprofessional.
