My favorite local business I've stumbled upon. It's such a homey-New England farm stand. All the staff is super friendly & always has everything we need in a little shop. The eggs are the best, we don't buy eggs in big grocery stores anymore. They have so many food items that they make at the farm or bring in from other local businesses. Additionally, they have a handful of farm animals that are so fun to see! Mini Horses, Goats, Pigs, and a cat (it doesn't like dogs but just doing its job protecting). read more

I went here for goat yoga and had a positive experience! I booked in advance on eventbrite and showed up about 10 minutes early. I got to look around the farm and pet the horses and donkeys. Then we went under the tent area to set up our yoga towels (be sure to bring your own). We were then invited to carry the goats from the pen. I tried to do this but some of the baby goats are more like teenagers so they were getting pretty big. The yoga instruction was good and very suitable for the goat environment. The goats were moreso food driven then they were curiosity driven (which made this a bit different from puppy yoga) but still a cool experience overall. I think $30 is a good price for the experience and it's cool that the petting zoo is included as well. read more

I took a little detour on a bike ride to stop by the Chip-In Farm. It seemed like anyone could just walk by if they wanted. There was a cute little shop on premises (lots of fun local snacks and drinks) and a barn with animals! I enjoyed checking out the animals hanging out in the grassy area as well. The staff was friendly and didn't seem to be bothered by my meandering around. Next time I'm biking the Minuteman, I'll have to stop by again! Nothing like some cute farm animals. read more

An unexpected treasure at the end (or midpoint) of a long bike ride on the Minuteman, Chip-In farm is a lovely place to stop in Bedford. I loved all the goats and the sheep, and you can tell that they're living their best lives. The babies were chaotic and so fun (see photo with one standing in the water bowl). They also have horses and other animals, as well as pumpkins! I didn't have a way to carry things, but next time I want to shop around in the farm store and buy some fresh eggs! read more

Always went here when my husband was alive. W lived in concord. Bought all out butter, eggs,milk.Pies,, ice cream fresh fruit and veggies, and of course fudge. We held a birthday for a 3 year old at Chip-In Farm today. There were 12 children aged 1-7. Farmer Sandy kept them well entertained! They loved getting in the pens with the friendly animals and playing in the "mud kitchen." All the guests greatly enjoyed and appreciated the unique venue. Tip for parties: bring large towels to use at the hand washing station and to brush off sand from the sand box. Ordering delivery from Domino's was a cinch. Highly recommend Chip-In Farm! read more

I came for the eggs. I'm glad I did. Wayyyyyyy better than buying yucky old supermarket eggs. Farm fresh, free range, collected that morning. Great price too for free range eggs from a local farm. It's important to me to try to buy as much of my food from local farms as I can. I am happy to support Chip In. Their farm store is really great. Lots of interesting products, produce, etc. I'm coming back for the eggs, specifically. read more

This place came up on Yelp as serving ice cream but it's more of a well stocked general store. Fresh fruits and veggies and pies. We picked up a pricey small summer berry pie that was tasty. They also have some animals outside which we visited too. A little out of the way but I felt like I was stepping back into a local farm store of yesteryear. read more

Took my 86 yr old Mom here on a Sunday afternoon adventure. I'm always looking for fun, out of the way country stores or farm stands to see what goodies and local specialty I might find. This place is super cute and has all you want in a "mom & pop" country store. - local products - nice staff - lovingly organized - something unique. Seems like this is THE spot for local eggs. I notice the bin of empty egg cartons from return customer who give back their empty cartons at the door before the go in to buy their next dozen. My Mom and I poked around and had fun exploring their items. Per usual, I picked up a few things that caught my eye, plus a dozen large eggs. We stopped into the "petting zoo" which consisted of 3-4 shy goats and one ENORMOUS pig. While there wasn't much to pet besides the cute goats, the pig was something to see! When we got home we cooked up a few of the eggs. Nice bright yellow/orange yolks and a strong standing albumin. A key sign of a very fresh egg! Nice work Chip-In! We had my sons 4th birthday party at the farm and it was amazing! Sandy was super accommodating to find a time that worked for us to come. We did the Farmer's Helper party with add on wagon ride and my son and other kids loved it. They felt really accomplished for doing so many important farm tasks! Most amazing was Sandy who was just really great with them. Eight kids most 3 and 4 years old and they were happy and focused. You can tell when someone really likes little ones and vibes with them. The space was great and it was an easy party for us to plan. We brought in water, goldfish, cake, etc and ordered pizza right to the farm. Highly recommended for a kid party!! read more

Congratulations, you must be so busy with customers, you could afford to call me and tell me to take my business elsewhere! Why? Because I offered a suggestion of a way to cut down on three or four calls of telephone tag, just to place an order for 2 quarts of goat milk for which I was willing to pay $6 a quart. I did take my business elsewhere, for $4 a quart. Too bad, I raised goats growing up, and I really enjoyed coming to the farm! As a grandmother, I have lots of friends, including a new mother in Waltham who loved the idea of getting milk and eggs from your farm! I feel so bad. We went to the farm with our young children to select a Christmas tree, but unfortunately didn't get one. There was very limited selection out. Most were small (as you can see next to my 2 year old) or had large holes. They had a huge amount they were sorting to the side and I asked how much one of those were, because it was much more pleasing. They refused to sell them. I told them I'd pay their top price, but the boy was too scared of whatever his father would say so again we were refused. So sad, but we went around the corner and found a different place with trees. read more

This is a review of kids parties at the farm. We had ours last night for 11 four-year olds and I had parents telling me that it was one of (if not) the best kids' parties they had ever attended. And my husband and I concur. We chose the campfire/s'mores add-on and it was worth every bit. Farmer Sandy is a force of nature and the setting is so beautiful and serene. Chip-In is one of the jewels of Bedford. We play a game at my house where we pretend that Bedford is an exotic destination for world travelers (which it is obviously NOT), like "If you only have one day in (D.C., San Francisco, Boston, BEDFORD!) what are the top ten things a visitor should see or do?" Chip-In is ALWAYS on the list. You can ride there on your bike, taking a short spur from the Bedford to Concord (unpaved) rail trail, and: buy an old fashioned stick of penny candy, drink a lime rickey, buy a cute little pumpkin in the fall, purchase some vegie seedlings in the spring, buy a couple dozen fresh eggs or apples, bananas and fresh tomatoes, get stinky chicken manure for your organic garden, and even buy a Christmas tree. (Those last two won't fit on your bike, though.) read more

What an ADORABLE place!! I took my son here a few days ago and we loved it. I was looking for a fun afternoon activity and stumbled across a "mini petting zoo" on yelp that was 20 minutes away. It was hot as hades so we waited until the afternoon and rushed over to the farm. The farm stand is small but perfect. They offer free food (lettuce on the day we went) to give to the animals. I took my 10 month old to go meet the friendly fainting goats (they faint when they get scared - so cute), the giant lady pig Lily and a few cows and sheep. He loved it. Farmer Sandy happened to be there as well. She let us into the pen and helped us take photos while telling us facts about her beloved animals. You could tell by the twinkle in her eye how much she loved her job. As we were leaving a 4H club was coming in to care for the animals. They had named many of the animals, which is one reasons for some of the cute names on their pens! Before I left, I wanted to get my son some organic, local milk. It's been 2 days and he's polished off their whole milk so we'll be back soon for more. We bought it in a glass bottle (can be brought back clean for a deposit back, like the old milk bottles!!). I also grabbed peaches, lettuce and blueberries. All delicious! A+ in my book. It's a SMALL and intimate farm with a great little farm stand. We just purchase a cord of wood from Chip-In. Noreen took the call and explained everything. Neil delivered the wood within a couple of days and was so nice. Their wood is dry and I was able to burn that some day. The price is very reasonable. I will continue to buy their wood. Great place and great people. read more

After spending two weeks in Sydney eating superfresh eggs, I came home with revived desire to give up supermarket eggs and buy locally. My friend Heather suggested Chip In, and I'm so glad she did. Walking in, I felt like I was transported back in time. It was adorable. I ended up not only getting two cartons of eggs that were laid today (yes, today!) but also some local chocolate milk that is like a milkshake (mmmm) and some ice cream made by another local farm, and some well priced produce. All the prices were ridiculously low. Such a fabulous find. I feel tremendously lucky. And I made scrambled eggs tonight with the newly bought/laid eggs and they were divine. read more

Love this local family farm. They deliver eggs to many Boston area restaurants. They have fresh salad ingredients, dairy, fruit, and staples like cereal and bread (local and varied). Their beef is fantastic - grass fed, raised on premises, and is delicious; substantially less than at Whole Foods. I won't buy strip steaks anywhere else - they are so good! But they don't always have them. Nice place to bring little kids - see/pet the goats, rabbits and pigs. Help support this fine local business! read more

I grew up down the street from Chip In and have been going here ever since I can remember. The family who owns it are probably the nicest people alive. They also repaired our randomly broken furniture for next to nothing. I used to love getting penny candy from behind the counter. They also sell raspberry rickeys in bottles and we still buy about ten 24 packs a summer. Theres also a petting zoo with the fattest pig I've ever seen. I took fresh eggs for granted until I bought supermarket eggs at school and almost drove 2 hours home just for Chip In. read more

Not the most kid friendly place as some of the staff get annoyed by bringing your young child for a milk and cookie and enjoying the company of animals. They have Birthday parties for children here....weird right?... on a better note I still enjoy stopping in here and there read more

I can't say enough good things about this family run farm which carries local milk, local ice cream, their own eggs, and a variety of produce. The staff is always friendly and helpful. They even have baskets for children to fill with food to feed the animals on the farm. The eggs are absolutely an essential for anyone who likes fresh real food. The milk, from Shaw farm, is the best thing I keep stocked in the fridge. read more

We found chip in farm through yelp, and arrived really hungry. I liked the farm store, and I bought the famous inexpensive eggs. We also bought some lettuce, chicken salad, really expensive lime/honey goat cheese, and some crackers. Everything was delicious. We ate sitting looking out over the cow pasture, and the cows came over to have their noses rubbed (yes, it smelled like cow manure where we sat, but we were so hungry, it didn't matter). They we went in to the small petting barn and saw goats, sheep, a HUGE pig, and chickens. It was really cute, and kids would love it, and it's free! Wheelchair users: there is a step up into the store as well as a step into the petting barn. They do have a bathroom you can use that is fairly accessible. read more

Had my niece's 6th bday party here today and wasn't sure how it was going to go at a farm but have to say this was one of the funnest kids bday parties I've ever been to. Farmer Sandy did a fabulous job, was super interactive and patient with the kids. It was one activity (fun things you wouldn't expect) after another for the kids to do even though it's a smaller farm. Obviously be prepared that it is a farm so dress accordingly, it had rained out last night so was a bit muddy. Overall great experience and kids really had a lot of fun. Extremely reasonably priced. Fresh Eggs! Until I had eggs from chip in I didn't know what a taste difference there was from fresh eggs to the ones you buy in the grocery store that have been in the distribution chain for a week or more before they hit my frying pan. My favorite are the pullet eggs. The runts of the litter - small but full of flavor. Nice to buy from local family farm, go into the store and see animals in the fields,etc. nice to be able to experience choosing a penny candy again. Fresh, tasty eggs. The eggs are very reasonably priced. I have been enjoying their pullet eggs which are very hard to find. You can buy their eggs closer to Boston at Formaggio Kitchen. However they are double the price than at the farm. read more
