About a year ago she began having eye issues and was brought in MULTIPLE times over the course of a year and we were told the same thing every time... she has allergies and the allergies are causing her to scratch her eye and we we're sent home with allergy meds. A month or so ago my girlfriend had such a negative experience calling in to make an appointment that she was in tears, and we made the decision to go to the Fort Mcleod Veterinary Hospital instead. In our dogs FIRST appointment at Fort McLeod, where they actually do their job, we were informed that our dog has Glaucoma. Which deteriorates the eye very quickly if not treated. If Green Acres had not been completely incompetent and actually done an eye exam on our dog she could have been on eye drops for the past year, instead of having surgery to have her eye REMOVED next week. This situation is completely despicable on the part of Green Acres and if this is how they treat longtime clients it terrifies me how disturbingly brutal they would treat a new patient. I would never recommend ANYONE to bring their pets there. INCOMPETENCE AT ITS HIGHEST DEGREE.

When I visited Family Pet to get vaccines for my rescue dog of the past six years, we had our first…read morepositive experience EVER at the vet. From the start, when reception made sure that there were no other animals present when we entered (he is very reactive) to the vaccines and check up portion, it was a good experience. This is the first time in six years that our dog has actually had a medical assessment. He is usually requires a muzzle and has to be restrained for the saftey of the vet staff. This ofcourse means no one has ever checked his teeth, eyes, hips etc. I am thankful for the time the staff took with us to make this the best vet visit EVER.

My cat was very nervous knowing the place once before. The nurse left. I waited and waited. I thought I must be more patients but then I looked at the time and it was 11:40am. I waited 40 minutes. I was upset as I had somewhere else to be. I walked out of the exam room and asked if I was forgotten about. They looked shocked to see me come out of the room as if I was forgotten. I asked if this was the normal waiting time, they said no and made up some lame excuse. I said I can wait a couple more minutes but I need to be somewhere else. They said they will tell the doctor. I waited a few more minutes with no assistance, so I walked out of the exam room and told them this was unnecessarily for Clients. While I was in the exam room I book an appointment with WestVets. I have a strong feeling that it was my skin color and my lineage of why they put me on the back burner and decided to forget about me in their exam room.
